Waiting to try, and cycle a mess from the pill

Just wondering if there are any other lurkers in the same boat as me, planning to TTC in December/January?

I came off the pill three months ago and have only had one pathetic AF in that time, so very glad I came off early but also pretty anxious at how messed up things are, 1st cycle was 39 days, this one is 40 and courting.

So who's with me? I can't be the only person on here who is actually hoping for AF!

cookie sorry to hear about your UTI!! I get them too with lots of DTD so horrible, although I do get them less when not using condoms (bonus!)

Another negative OPK for me today, boring! Starting to get into temping though, and my sleep is settling down now, not waking up so much now. Other than that nothing to report here!
I do have some early indicator PG tests on hand so I can do a test before NYE if needs be depending on when Ov works out to be

new girl you're right still though I'm not due til 14th December for AF but then again I haven't even had a proper AF since coming off the pill so who knows if I would if it was a bfn!!
Aw no never mind when are you supposed to ov is it some time next week?? I don't know how you have time temping I have ordered a basal thermometer but it's from Hong Kong so probably won't get it til next year haha! Where did you get your early pg tests from??

Got the PG tests with a bulk order of OPK's from Amazon, which someone on here recommended to me! They were really cheap. Think they are 10mcg or 5mcg or something so really sensitive.
Got my BBT from Amazon too - I have that Amazon prime so it came the next day! Was only a fiver.
Amazon is my saviour!!

Hey, I don't have any OPKs as we aren't quite trying yet so don't want to be testing for loads of things and it would put the fear of god in the OH haha. My last period started the moment I woke up on the 26th Nov (I rarely bleed much at night normally just during the day which is random!) So would be about day 13. I dont know how long my cycles are as only had 1 period since coming off the pill (22nd oct i took the last one but not relying on that to be my correct cyxle length) Had a "wet" feeling a few times today but nothing really going on other than when I wipe. My finger has been bad for a few months now...should really go to the Dr's as probably need a steroid cream but they are a pain to get an appointment!!xx

I get UTIs a lot.. seem to be more prevalent after sex and when we use condoms - might be an allergy to the lube on them!xx

Think il order some today new girl! Asda is a p*Ss take £1 for 1 haha! Getting so impatient now another one of my friends has announced she is pregnant!! Just want next week here!

Ahhh just typed out a big message and lost it there. Poin I totally understand the whole 'freaking out OH' comment. I don't think my DH is 100% ok with me using them as he feels it puts him under pressure a bit. The relaxed approach sometimes (or usually!!) is the best way to do it! GX you're just so positive in your posts. Hope we can all be as uplifting as you when we're expecting (hopefully soon!) xx

Meant to say that I love Kim k, Chapman! Would love to look like her at 9 months pregnant! We seem to be quite close together in our Tww. I'm due to test a week on sun but I have no obvious symptoms as yet, tho I am v v early in my wait! Have you got anything to report? New girl, you sound really organised in your Amazon orders. Amazon has also been my saviour! I know this sounds daft, and immature, but I think I'd feel slightly embarrassed getting certain TTC things over the counter. Knowing my luck I'd end up bumping into a family member or friend whilst buying something!

New girl. Getting into your temping sounds good. I'm still a bit naf at doing it at the same time everyday. Do set my alarm but often wake up before and then have the dilemma, test early= inaccurate. Or go back to sleep for a little bit =inaccurate! It's supposed to be same time every day and after minimum 3 hours sleep.

My temps have been ALL over the place this week. Only one had actually been below cover line period started. It's supposed to dip below cover line for period and only go back over after OV. So who knows! Definitely was a period and beg test so just random temps! I'm cycle day 8 today.

I like hearing how everyone is getting on! Eagerly awaiting people's test results at the end of your tww! Xx

Maybe I'm not being as consistent as I should be - I'm doing mine when DH says bye each morning (he gets up a lot earlier than me!) so that I'm definitely not 'awake' but not at exactly the same time each day. Will see how it goes, temps haven't been that different so far, will see if I get a spike!

Cookie I'm the same would not want to be buying all this stuff otc - although I've already had a slightly embarrassing experience in that the preseed I ordered never arrived and so I had to contact Amazon to get a refund!! 'Yes that's right it's the vaginal lubricant that has not arrived from my order, the thermometer and pregnancy tests have arrived safe and sound !!

Poin - totally understand needing to take the relaxed approach! Believe it or not i was the one who needed convincing to ttc between me and DH, but be patient if it's anything like me one day it'll just 'click' if you get me, now I'm super keen

cookie - i love kim k too but i thought for her first pregnancy she did take it bad haha. same here im on 8dpo snd dying to test - no symptoms no nothing it feels weird dont think i am bfp but we shall see i am defo going to wait til next wednesday im due AF on 14th so if it doesnt show i wont be surprised as i feel my body still isnt back to normal.

Defo think i'm coming up to OV. Feel rough, tummy ache, cramps, aches and pains and knackered. Obviously one of those people that suffers rather than just not knowing or getting a niggling pain. Fun times

poin - my oh is exactly the same i mention it too him and he says not now or just do what you have to do think its because he gets stressed easily anywy! i feel your pain hopefully they will come around!

First time on here!

I stopped Microgynon in May and started to TTC end of August (after my 33 days cycle when I thought I was back on track!). From what I remember my periods were regular before starting it, but I had been on it for ages.

My cycles since stopping the pill have been as follows:

Day 22 post-pill
39 day cycle
33 day cycle
49 day cycle

Currently on CD 63 (LMP 9.10.15) I have started using OPKs in this never-evening cycle. I got an almost positive at CD34 then faded again. Now I have had positives CD 62 and today, EWCM for 3days, my cervix is very high and I have a few mild aches.

Hopefully...... I am finally ovulating this cycle.
BD day before positive OPK and yesterday, so fingers crossed!

Welcome first! Great that you have been tracking, sorry your cycle has been so long this month but fx that you have now ov'd and you caught it - sounds positive!

Another boring day for me, a little EWCM (but likely aftermath of DTD last night! ) but no symptoms other than that. Need to do my OPK when I get home but not expecting a positive yet. Got one of many Xmas parties tonight so at least I know in safe to have a few glasses!!

We've been together 5 years. He hit 30 in January and had a bit of a meltdown about it and "what is expected of him" at that age I.e. settle down, kids, marriage... nothing was expected of him at all but he took it hard. I've just turned 29.
Been for a wee about 20 times today...not even kidding and that's really unusual for me as I don't drink enough (I know, naughty me) but was up and down like a yo-yo.xx

new girl - been with my OH half 5 years got married 2 years a week on Monday 21/12/13! So we've had a good 2 years free and we've been on some amazing holidays so now I'm ready now but sometimes don't think OH is [santa]

Welcome, First! It's a lovely wee group of girlies we've got on this thread ooh Poin this could be a very positive symptom! When is AF due? Chapman I still haven't had any symptoms either but I'm still hopeful as its only been about 4 or 5dpo! I really want a set of sore boobs or something that screams 'I'm pregnant!!' Lol! Your OHs sound like my DH! He does not like discussing TTC at all. Every time i mention it its met with 'we'll see what happens' argh! Xx

Cookie - same here i thought AF was due when I was cramping but I realised it was because I ate peppers and I get bad cramps with peppers and brocolli and I love both.. Dpo8 and no symptoms I'm just hoping we both get bfp and some symptoms soon I'm so impatient! OH is a nightmare to talk to about this stuff i would understand if we were in our early 20's but I'm 26 in Feb and he's 28 in September. I'm just hoping when it does happen he will change as he's amazing with our nephew! Time is dragging cookie haha! Xxx

We're both 28 and I just think the time is now right to settle down. Watching 18 kids and counting on ch4 just now - don't know how that couple can do it! 1 or 2 would be enough for me ooh I know Chapman, it would be so good if we got our Bfps just a couple of days apart from each other. I think I'm going to try and hold off and test a week on Sunday. Don't know I'll be able to resist POAS until then though- I need willpower! Xx

Welcome first you are in the right place for post pill crazy cycles! My body did a weird kind of gear up to OV (with EWCM and rising temps) but didn't and then actually OVd later in cycle. Fingers crossed this one is it and you've caught the lazy egg!

My hubby sounds exactly like yours chapman poin and cookie. He's happy to see what happens.. But doesn't want to talk about it or plan it too much. He turned 31 this year and I'm nearly 28... Think he feels like this is as good a time as any, married own house etc! He doesn't really get "excited" over stuff like me (I'm like an impatient child!!) but he will be happy if it happens. I mentioned that I'd have to be careful with the boozing over Xmas and he said, well your not pregnant now are you, so what's the problem. And then when I explained the science to him he suggested we could use contraception for December... That wasn't really my point! Haha. He is so laid back he's horizontal!!

Lots of messages to catch up with!! It's been a completely crazy week here, after 5 years together & completely out of the blue we got engaged late on Sunday!! I'm so excited!!
We had a chat last night & are going to carry on TTC, even with all of the other excitement!
No change for me, on cycle day 47 now! Thought AF was coming a few days ago, very light spotting for about an hour but nothing came of it!
Am still keeping FX for positive tests on here for all of u & me soon!!

Vicky congratulations!! What an exciting time for you! It's so nice that it was a surprise too. Enjoy and remember all the excitement for that goes with it.

Mine was wanting me to skip a month TTC incase he loses his 'drinking buddy' over Xmas haha. I think this is why women are chosen to grow and carry the children & not men!! Xx
