Quell - you're a genius! Hadn't even considered using old lids for stuff - will definitely start a collection going! We do have a small supply of paper/polystyrene cups at work but I think it might be a bit suspicious if the supply diminished one-by-one... Will definitely be pinching your idea!

I'm on 2 days before AF is due. I feel like my boobs have gone up at least one cup size but don't know if this is me being super-hyper aware of everything or just the result of eating a lot of cake this month. Everytime I get my hopes up that this week might bring about a BFP, I'm trying to curb my expectations and diminish the feeling. DH agrees that boobs have definitely gotten bigger and I think he's quite enjoying them!

Still holding out until Friday to test if AF hasn't arrived. Just arranged to meet my friend and her 6 week old baby for lunch on Friday so don't know if that was a ridiculously silly thing to do - can imagine it'll put me in a pretty vile mood if this isn't my month. Ah well.

Fingers crossed for everyone else testing this week. xxx

FlatWhiteToGo · 07/09/2015 10:45

I use some cheopo plastic shot glasses and go and test in the disabled toilets at work. My colleagues must wonder why I am in the loo for 10+ minutes every afternoon...

Violet88 · 07/09/2015 10:47

I'm out! AF started very slowly yesterday evening and in full force this morning. So onto cycle 7 now! I'm looking on the bright side though that at least it came today on my day off, so by the time I'm back to work on Wednesday I shouldn't be ill. And also it was another 26 day cycle so it didn't leave me waiting till Thursday getting my hopes up!! Also on the bright side at least I've got my transamic acid to use to make AF less horrible!

Sorry about AF and that your feeling down about things Flat It's horrible! And some months it does get to you more than others, particularly if you thought you had a good shot! I was worried I might be more upset this time as 6 months seems to be a bit of a milestone, as does say 9 months, 12 months etc, but seems I'm ok (so far). Bonkers Flatwhite people just don't think do they!!! So insensitive!

I had decided to start temping this cycle and today I forgot. I forgot on the first day! So that's not a very good start!! How do you remember to do it??

Sorry about AF's Star

Good luck to those left in the 2ww

Flatwhite we have the same next test date!

Violet I just keep the thermometer right next to the bed and take my temp as soon as my alarm goes off. I set an alarm for weekends as well, but then I don't bother reading and recording the temp until later - I just go back to sleep!

This is my third cycle temping, and it's taken a while to get into a good habit with it.

Violet88 · 07/09/2015 11:14

Youandme It was right next to my bed, I remembered to put it there last night and still forgot when I woke up. Got out of bed, went to the loo, brushed teeth. Came back and saw it on floor next to bed!! I'm sure once I start properly it will become routine!!

KittyandTeal · 07/09/2015 11:29

So my 2 colleagues who went on maternity at the start of the summer holidays have both had their babies is week. I'm unsure how I feel tbh.

I finally got a temp rise on day 16! With no fertile cm. very weird. I'm now 5dpo so a little while to wait.

Klaptrap · 07/09/2015 14:26

Le Sigh.

CD32 now, two negative tests and still no sign of my period. I guess this means I ovulated even later than I thought (could be CD12, 16 or possibly 23 - making me 21, 18 & 10dpo respectively). So I am still waiting!

Really not convinced it is my month, so I have ordered the Clear Blue Advanced fertility monitor (great deal on Ocado at the moment + £20 off first order code) to try next cycle. Very excited by this as...
a) I love gadgets
b) You do the tests with FMU, which is a revelation and will be so much easier than afternoon OPKs.
c) It takes the guesswork out of interpreting those sodding little strips (Ooh, is the line dark enough, I just don't know!)

Good luck to those still waiting!

ToffeeAppleMarsBar · 07/09/2015 14:46

Ahh sorry to hear you're out this month Violet - 7 is a lucky number, right?! I'll be really interested to hear how you get on with temping, providing you remember! Ha ha.

Hugs Kitty - it's completely okay to have mixed feelings about other people's babies, I reckon! No one in my team at work is currently (to my knowledge!) pregnant, but I can imagine I'd have all sorts of mixed feelings if any one announced a pregnancy any time soon. Obviously would be happy for them, but I think I would also hate myself for how jealous I'd be at the same time. HORRIBLE thing to be jealous but so natural.

Well... I've just found out I've won a £50 Aldi voucher to spend on wine!!! Perfect timing really as if I don't get the BFP I'm hoping for this week, at least I can be happy about having lots of wine to drink! Win-win situation, right?

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 07/09/2015 14:56

Klaptrap I hope you have good luck with the monitor - I am on the first cycle with mine - got my first high reading today!

No idea wtf is going on with me - the brown discharge is much heavier today. Basically it's as if my period has restarted, but only with old blood. I don't get it at all.

weechops · 07/09/2015 22:37

Argh what is my stupid body playing at!!! Usually have a 29 day cycle. Was expecting af on Thursday which would work out perfect for dh coming back home on the 21st.
But no! Af has shown up 3 days early!!! So now I need to pray I ov on cd 15 or 16 and pretty much rip dh clothes off the second he gets in. (Or maybe I could meet him at the airport Grin)
Stupid af grrr

Emzlou15 · 08/09/2015 00:14

Sorry to hear you're out Violet at least you know now and can prepare for next cycle!

Toffee FX for you and your bigger boobs hope you get that BFP!

As for me I don't know what the heck is happening. I had the smallest speck of pink on Sataurday. Then a tiny bit of brown smear when wiping on Sunday and nothing since..? On Sataurday I felt strongly that AF was going to start Sunday morning because my tummy felt rubbish and I had that tiny bit of blood. Now I don't know what's going on and all the time AF doesn't show up it just gives me what I think is false hope. Every morning I feel like AF will be here.. I'm on cycle day 43/48 depending if you count from the start of my Withdrawl bleed from coming off the pill and I got a BFN on Sataurday morning.
I wish I could plug my body into a machine which would give me a full read out of what's happening.

Vikkijayne2507 · 08/09/2015 09:06

Wow I've been away for a long weekend with Ds oh and another couple and their Ds who is same age as mine. She found out she was pregnant on Saturday probably 7/8 weeks! Whereas me just like a lot of you here am on cd 30 no af ( a pink tink on Saturday and that's it) no af no bfp. We barely dtd after I thought I'd ovd so waiting for body to get on with it. First cycle was 25 days bad after coming of cerezette my body seems to be confused. Didn't have this with microgynon. Came off had withdrawal bleed, had 28 day cycle af then 2 weeks later conceived Ds so I'm not used to all this dates all over the place abd what's with the slight red blood and eff all afterwards gahh frustrating. I did read all the posts but I forget names and on mobile but I know some of you are in a similar boat to me it's soo bloody annoying

Violet88 · 08/09/2015 09:27

I've started my preparations for next cycle, by remembering to temp this morning!! And also ordered some clear blue smiley face ovulation sticks. Out of interest those who have bought monitors why did you chose it over the normal ovulation tests, what can it do that they dont?

Toffeeapple good news about your wine! Fx'd you won't be having to drink any of it though Wink

Weechops I had been having a 29 day cycle, thought it had settled into 29 days and then last two months 26 days! What are our bodies doing!! I hope you manage to get your timings right!

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 08/09/2015 10:27

Violet I chose the monitor because I'm a sucker for a gadget Blush I don't know if it's really any better than the dual hormone sticks, tbh. Although I quite like that I will be able to use it to test for pregnancy, and I suppose the fact that it will record information about cycles might be handy, although I do all that in Fertility Friend anyway!

Spotsondots · 08/09/2015 10:31

I'm out Sad AF turned up overnight on cd45/46, which takes my irregularity to a whole new level. I've made a GP appointment for the end of the month (earliest I could get) and will see what happens. No idea what my cycle length is and pretty unsure if I'm even ovulating so will leave stats for now as likely to tip into October anyway now, but will continue to hang out on the back seat of the bus for now if that's ok?

weechops · 08/09/2015 10:32

Very confused - I had bright red blood last night and first thing this morning when I wiped, but nothing now. How random!!

ToffeeAppleMarsBar · 08/09/2015 11:00

Oh no Spots, sorry to hear of AF's arrival. Bloody hell, CD45/46 sounds like an arduous slog. I hope things start to become more regular for you very very soon. Our bodies are weird, aren't they?

Violet - high five on remembering to temp this morning! And yes, fx I won't be drinking any of the wine I won...

Emzlou - goodness, I can feel your frustration. You must be going out of your mind. I have heard some people don't necessarily get their BFPs until later into their pregnancies so you never know?

weechops - that does sound a bit weird... I'm not knowledgeable enough to suggest what's going on but I guess time will tell.

Now only 1 day before AF is due for me. Trying not to symptom spot (PMS or Preggo symptoms)... trying to distract myself by creating myself an online sewing blog - LOL! I can't even sew.

birchygoo · 08/09/2015 11:35

Hi everyone - sorry for AWOL, was on a weeks holiday and with having to actually log onto computer now it is not as easy to stay caught up.

Af got me again - CD4 now. 2nd cycle of Clomid.

I was wondering if anyone wanted to take over the stats? I am finding it difficult to stay on top of them this month and need to take a step back for a bit as am now on cycle 11 which is rubbish. Had friends staying for the weekend and my friends husband kept saying when are you going to start trying, like we have 3, get a move on. It only took us one try with each ....grr I could have thumped him!

OP posts:
Thisisbonkers · 08/09/2015 11:38

birchy I think I would have thumped him Sad

ChatEnOeuf · 08/09/2015 12:18

I've gone for bland honesty, Birchy. Or a slap. Depends on how good a friend it is to be honest. I appreciate our situation is a little different though. Sorry to hear you and Spots (and everyone else I missed) are out this month.

Emz, it can take quite a while for your cycles to make any sense post pill. Might be worth testing in a few days/next week if no sign.

As for me, if I'm looking at D28, I'll be testing Sat. Bit frightened though...last cycle was only 26d so I didn't get the chance to worry. If I were a betting lady I'd say I'm out though, I've been unreasonable and rage-filled the last couple of days.

birchygoo · 08/09/2015 12:31

I love my friend to pieces but I despise her dh. I have to put up with him though for her. I really do not see what she see's in him. He is so small minded and does not have one good point about him. He is also very nasty and jealous.

So although I was thinking about telling her this weekend after his comments I decided against it - as he is the kind of person who would then start gloating. It only took me one go to get her pregnant (type of person) although when he did say that my friend did say thats not entirely true - but he just talked on over the top of her.

i have told 2 friends - neither of them ask about it though, but neither have children or are currently trying. I guess they also dont know what to ask.

OP posts:
Itsme247 · 08/09/2015 13:23

Birchy I know how you feel, let's hope this cycle of Clomid is a success!

So things have moved on somewhat for me and DH whilst I have high prolactin causing anovulatory cycles DH has just had his second SA which came back just as disappointing as the first one and has 73% immotility so it's on to IUI or IVF for us!

I'll continue to lurk on here but good luck everyone ! X

Klaptrap · 08/09/2015 15:21

Violet - I chose the monitor because it takes all of the stress out (hopefully)! It tells you exactly when it wants you to do a test, so no guessing. It also states specifically that you should test with FMU which was a big thing for me, personally. I'd been using the IC OPKs which specifically say NOT to test first thing and I found waiting until the afternoon/remembering not to drink anything for 3 hours beforehand was just another thing to worry about.
Also it logs all your data for you, which I like (although I will totally be carrying on using Fertility Friend too Grin).

I'm not on CD34 - no sign of AF or temperature dip. Just twiddling my thumbs.

CarrotVan · 08/09/2015 15:39

I'm so sorry your friend's husband was such an arse birchy

Good luck with the next steps itsme. Do you know what the timescales are like for IUI/IVF treatment?

ToffeeAppleMarsBar · 08/09/2015 16:03

GRR birchy - rubbish that AF has arrived and no offence but you friend's husband does sound like a right insert your favourite swear word here. If it helps, I'll volunteer to update the stats - I spend most of my working day checking on here anyway so makes me feel like I'd be doing something productive! Happy to take over the reins - do you need my email address to let me update the spreadsheet?

Itsme: hope everything goes well for you in your next TTC adventure. I'm sure you'll get there. Lots of love for the journey ahead.
