Hi mums, me and my partner have been doing the baby making dance a while and today 13 day I think after ovulation I did a test possibly 13 days maby less anyway I did a test and the faintest line is there almost i thought I could be making it up but no I can see a faint one, anyway hours later a few glasses of water and a trip the drs later he said it was negative and I'm to take another test in the am......my question is has this happened to anybody should I belive my own eyes and think I'm pregnant or belive the drs test......help, I really would love to be pregnant. Thank you

I think early days the hormone is strongest in the morning and the extra glasses of water diluted it further??? I'd say test in the morning! FX for you xxx

Did you take a picture of the test with the faint line? I've got eagle's eyes for this stuff! Good luck.

No lol I will go see if I can get a good pic because it seems to be fading a tad. I've just read about evaporation line :-/ how awful and cruel are they, I do hope it isn't one of those.......I'm trying to think how long after peeing on the test the line came up now :-( x

Can I ask why you went to the gp? Do you need specific care in pregnancy?

Do another test in the morning. Read it within the time limit and then discard. What is happening with the test hours later, is largely irrelevant.

If you're testing early, faint lines are fairly common.

I have taken another test, the same brand as they was 2 in the pack and they is so far no line, I went to the dr because I had an appointment for me to get the tablet to stop my period as we are going on holiday and since you have to take it days befor your period I took as a test befor because my partner and I have been trying (but it's not that far away from my period to get get a result at all I didn't think but now I'm just confused and feeling hopfully and scared

I only re tested on the same test to see if the tests do get a evaporation line as I never had seen one befor

hi, im new here! but my advice would be to wait a few days and then do another test! Pregnancy hormones rise very quickly in early pregnancy so you may just be testing to earlier. also I know they are a bit expensive but maybe try the digital ones, that way it will tell you clearly either way! good luck!
