Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
  5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory, who wouldn't?)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Shagging like Something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing A Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

tink Sad I really feel for you with all this up and down don't really know crap. push like crazy at fc appt to try one last time for some real answers. but I totally get you wanting to call it a day xx

ChatEnOeuf · 27/08/2015 14:00

Oh Tink Sad Has anyone been inside to actually look? Maybe that's what's needed.

Another good friend is pregnant. Wail.

Tinktheterrible · 27/08/2015 14:29

chat uff, that's not what you need.

Thanks for the solidarity viroids, I just feel like I wish someone would just say "That's it, no, it's never going to happen". I think I could handle that, we want to adopt so fine.
chat I have a lovely vision of a little mole with a mining hat on going in and having a look Grin I guess you mean a lap which I've never had but I guess they might offer at fc.

Well done for getting the ball rolling just I'm sure it was hard for you. keep good luck to you too. Don't either of you get put off by my experiences Wink most people's insides do not present the problems that mine seem to! Grin

lil I know I've said it before but it really feels like it's all coming to a natural end now. Maybe I'll change my mind gain but it makes me sad to think that if we'd have continued with the adoption process last time I'd have my own little family now.

FeatheredTail · 27/08/2015 15:02

Tink so sorry to hear that. There is nothing worse than not knowing the situation and feeling confused about what happens next/what it all means. Sending a stoic shoulder squeeze your way. Cake ...and some cake.

Really hope you do push for more investigation.

oneyorkshirepud · 27/08/2015 16:52

Sad Tink, we are here to hand hold whatever you decide. My friends recently adopted 10 month old twin boys after years of ttc. Now they are an adorable little family. This will be you one way or another, it WILL happen for you. Love and Cake.

justtheonethen · 27/08/2015 17:19

Absolutely echo what pud said. We are here for you whatever you decide. I am hoping the fc can give you some more answers or at least a more definitive diagnosis.

Keepatit · 27/08/2015 18:53

Yes of course we are here - rant, cry, moan- doesn't matter. I feel I can be a lot more open with the viroids, things I bottle up in RL - I hope the others feel the same. Flowers

justtheonethen · 27/08/2015 18:58

Absolutely, I tell you lot everything! In RL I rarely tell anyone how I feel!

Tinktheterrible · 27/08/2015 19:02

Thanks all, sorry for being me, me, me today Blush I do appreciate you all though Flowers pud did they have to wait for their babies for very long nice they'd got approved?

Dh is moaning about being too old now and saying he'll be in a wheelchair before it happens. Gave him a bollocking about being selfish and only seeing it from his perspective and feel a bit better. Wink

Have to admit to having the weirdest crazies now! Am secretly thinking that I'm obviously upduffed now as wouldn't it be just Sod's law etc etc!! Af due soonish I think (just where are we?) I think it's my ttc survival mechanism kicking in, am obviously a complete nutcase Smile

Keepatit · 27/08/2015 19:08

tink don't be sorry, woman! Cake

I have the same issue with my DH - He is older than me and you literally cannot say anything age-related to him otherwise he goes all narky. He's also worried he's 'passed it' Sad currently though I'm in a mood with him for quizzing me on what I've eaten today.

from one nutcase to another, there's nothing wrong with it Wink

I'm feeling proper demotivated and tired at the minute. I literally can't be bothered to do anything apart from veg on the sofa. And I'm moody. And bloated. The witch is due on Tuesday Sad

Keepatit · 27/08/2015 19:09

And I nearly cried this morning because I couldn't find a top to wear Hmm it was like a fake cry ... You know the 'if I hadn't just done my make up and had time to cry right now I would' cry.

oneyorkshirepud · 27/08/2015 20:08

I'm not sure how long they had to wait Tink between approval and bring matched with their boys but once they were matched it was really quick, they had to run around like loons buying two lots of baby stuff in a few days ready for their arrival!

Tinktheterrible · 27/08/2015 20:08

Aww keep my Dh is 44 so has 10 years on me. He's just come down and given me a cuddle. He could obviously smell the fish pie I've made cooking. He knows only too well that I'll cheerfully tip his portion in the bin dog if he's not in the good books Grin no apology though, I'll hide the banana and chocolate cake I think Wink I am a feeder
If you feel like vegging then veg, listen to your body. I think you me and just are all fairly synched up so I'll go with Tuesday too, save me reading back. Cake

Tinktheterrible · 27/08/2015 20:11

That's good pud I've read loads of horror stories today of people being approved and waiting 2 years! My Dh will have written himself off by then! Just want to get on with something now. I'm guessing I'm going to need further treatment health wise but ttc wise I'm happy to let it go. Someone think of a jsers adoption group name please!! Grin

oneyorkshirepud · 27/08/2015 20:41

Noooooooo you have to stay here with us Tink! Did you start the adoption process previously? Does that mean it will be faster for you if you go for it again?

justtheonethen · 27/08/2015 20:46

You can j'shag your way to adoption. I for one won't let you leave if you decide that's the route for you. We are due on Monday Grin although I iced a couple of days earlier than normal this cycle. I'm having the crazies too, obviously pg now I've raced across kent with sperm in my bra Hmm

justtheonethen · 27/08/2015 21:02

Non ttc question alert: any recommendations for where to buy work wear? Feel like I need to smarten up for new job as in classroom you can get away with being more casual but I think ill need to be a bit more professional!

FeatheredTail · 27/08/2015 21:10

Just...I find banana republic good and Hobbs (in the sale!!) for pieces that will last and last. Also good old next for plain jumpers. Still searching for the elusive perfect work trouser for the shorter lady.

FeatheredTail · 27/08/2015 21:14

Tink - FYI, you're not leaving this group I'm afraid. That's the end of the discussion Wink

Had just about the worst week at work I've ever had and feel ill from it. So so so much stress. Feeling really overtired, achey and weepy. And I can't even have a glass of wine because I think anything I do will upset the egg meets sperm process and I'll only have myself to blame if I did end up pregnant from this cycle and it all goes tits again.

Feeling massively sorry for myself. Can totally relate to the pretend crying think Keep !!

FeatheredTail · 27/08/2015 21:14

*thing

jellypi3 · 27/08/2015 21:17

Oh tink I've just seen your update. I'm really sorry the news wasn't better Sad I think adopting is an extremely selfless thing to do so massive kudos to you for considering it. I'll keep all my gx for you for a natural conception in the meantime but if you do go ahead with adoption I hope it goes swiftly.

Keepatit · 27/08/2015 21:18

Oh wow... I've just been looking at pictures of me to try and identify at what point I put all my weight on.

In the year between engagement and wedding. Since 2012 I've put 4 effing stone on! No wonder I can't get effing pregnant! Sad

Keepatit · 27/08/2015 21:19

Aww MNhugs for you feathered xx

justtheonethen · 27/08/2015 21:32

feathered Flowers

justtheonethen · 27/08/2015 21:33

keep sure you look great, don't beat yourself up, just keep doing what you're doing. If any consolation I'm not overweight and I can't get pregnant either!
