Hi, I'm pretty new to this but thought this would being a really good place to ask all the questions that are going through my head right now!
I had my marina coil removed a few weeks back, my first proper period was October 16th lasted for about 5-6 days. Was a bit of a shock to the system having that again after a blissful 6 years of no bleeding with the coil - but hey no pain no gain.
Anyhow my period if Im going to be back on a 28 day cycle would be around 13th Nov.
I've had nothing...
So I have all the symptoms of pregnancy, sore breasts, nausea, but along with this I'm really tired, I keep getting a mild stabbing\throbbing pain and also feel like Im going to come on but still nothing comes!
So I did 2 tests the latest one yesterday morning, both negative. So I know I'm not pregnant but Im confused why I feel like I am!
Do you think all my hormones are mixed up as I had the coil for so long? Or perhaps I've just got a virus or something thats making me feel ill? Additionally I wasnt desperate to get pregnant instantly so cant have phantom pregnancy (I mean how likely is that?!)I'm not stressed or anything just a bit confused I guess!
I dont see the point in going to the Dr yet I'm probably being impatiant and will just find I will have a longer cycle post coil.., any theories would be gratefully received

When do you make love to concieve a boy?
3 days before your ovulation or at the 14th day..?

When you have sex has nothing to do with what the sex of the baby will be ? it's determined by your partner's sperm.

hello?!

well, ignoring sasa1... If you've done two negative tests then i'd say you're very probably not pregnant, Whataday. I would guess that what you're experiencing are the effects of the hormones from the Mirena, which can be very similar to early preg symtoms. I had these when I stopped having depo injections and also when I had the mirena coil taken out. It can take a while for the hormones to clear your system so I wouldn't worry too much if i were you. Enjoy making mery at christmas, wait for your 1st period and start counting from then. Good luck x

sasa1s on the wrong thread!

Sasa15- male sperm are weaker, and don't last as long as female sperm, but I think they swim faster. So to conceive a boy do it (!) on 14th day or day of ovulation. To conceive a girl 2 or 3 days before. I think this is right.

A friend wanted a girl and did this, and got dd

Thanks Moomin - Just that one response from you truly helps me a great deal (knowing you had the same thing) because I asked the clinic when I had the coil out what to expect after and they said "nothing all back to normal straight away"
I'm glad that all these symptoms Im having are all normal...Thank you
