5th month TTC. 2 days late, negative tests :(

My husband and I are trying to get pregnant, this month will be our 5th month trying.... We have had no luck :(. But this month I'm actually late, Im nomally on time and if I'm not I get my period as soon as I see a negative test result ( its a mental thing... I dunno) but I took a test yesterday and one today.... Still negative , no period..... Its stressing me out :( a friend of mine recently got pregnant and didn't get a positive till after 10days past her period. She gives me hope...... But are late negatives that common????

Anything could cause late ovulation which will cause delayed periods. Try not to stress, if you have had a period in say a week do another test

Cinny429 I'm in the same(ish) boat - period 5 days late, BFN today from the evil pee-stick. Trying to be philosophical (DH great at that) but bfn made me a bit teary. So soooo hope it could turn out to be false neg, or that AF would come so I can get planning again. I'm going to distract/cheer myself with Paddington Bear film & spag bol. Suggest you deserve some cheering up treats too - and let me know how you get on.

The same happened to me this cycle. Four negative tests (Blush) following a late period (according to when I think ovulated) and AF turned up yesterday.

It's hard not to get stressed about it, but try not to Flowers

Sorry to hear that - my AF tradition is 15 mins permitted miserable time, then one fun thing as a treat. Hard to chuck out the stress but so, so necessary.

No - some great threads on here about resisting that temptation. Was really bad tho - tested Thurs/Fri/Sun. (Definitely bad idea.) will leave it a week now, minimum & try to distract myself as much as poss.

I couldn't resist, I took a test, still negative. You are right I have to wait..... I'll take my next test this Saturday ;) I can't wait 5 whole days. ;) Hope u get a positive !!

Argh Cinny429 (as frustrated lady pirates ttc would say) - sorry to hear it. Defo treat yourself tonight & start planning operation "This Month is the Month". Mine still hasn't, but no preggy symptoms so will prob follow you in a few days.
