When to do a pregnancy test

I slept with a guy I've been seeing 10 days ago, and I'm due on my period round about now and I always get pre period pains so I'm worried I might be pregnant, I'm 24, we had sex during my ovulation period, how high are the chances of becoming pregnant during that time and when is the best time to do a test as I want an accurate result.

Would I still come on my period this month if I am actually pregnant or is it the next period thar counts?

for the most accurate result you should test from the day your period would be due. And yes, it's this cycle that you'd start missing a period. One of the first indications of pregnancy is a missed period.
Maybe swat up on biology a bit, as without meaning to be cheeky /patronising, at 24 I'd have thought you'd be a bit more aware of this.
