Hi- Hope you can help I suffered a miscarriage on 16th Oct and lost naturally on the Friday (20th). I have since started my P on Sunday (19th Nov).

When can we start trying again? I don't want to keep bugging the doctor!

You can start as soon as you want to. Now you have had a period you will be able to count properly and hopefully will be able to BD at the right time. Good luck xxxxxxxxx

Thank you! I have heard som many different things like you should wait x amount of months, my husband is a bit of a stickler for sticking to the rules, especially when the doctor told us that when we came off the pilllast sept it would take 12 months for me to catch and low and behold I did in Sept- but then I have heard you are most fertile when you have just come off the pill- nightmare!

There is no research that suggests that miscarriage rates are higher if you don't wait three months. Unless there is anyone who can correct me...

According to top experts, there is no need to wait. Your body will not allow you to become pg if it is not ready. Unfortunately miscarriage is very common (doesn't make it any easier I know).

So go for it and good luck xx

PS As far as I know coming off the pill doesn't make you more fertile although there is evidence to suggest that you are more fertile after a miscarriage.

Thank you for your advise, thats good news about fertility after miscarriage.. better get back to it.. these things are sent to try us, but the end result will be fantastic!
