Peardrop - age 33, TTC cycle #9, DS is 26 months (stopped bf soon to be 4 months ago). Af returned when DS 14months, currently on CD14 and have had 4 flashing smileys. Praying for a static smiley tomorrow! Dangling legs in air!

Aww congratulations Ava that's fantastic! Hope you got some sleep in the end... Smile

LetThereBeCupcakes · 28/07/2015 07:42

Ava! Congratulations! What is it with you and wax? Are you twins or something?

Dammit I'm going to be all on my own in here at this rate.

LetThereBeCupcakes · 28/07/2015 07:50

Oh and pear - Wendy

MinisMama13 · 28/07/2015 08:56

In our area you have to see the GP for them to pass your details to the midwife. I thought you could self refer but they like to see you here.

Yesterday certainly seemed lucky! Who is next for testing? Is it just me and pear in the 2ww? My memory is awful!

Ispy I hope that fixed smiley comes soon!

Ava maybe I'll be waiting until ds is 2 then, interesting!

Pear have a break today and dtd tomorrow?

Ov confirmed as Sat, cd16 for the second cycle in a row I noticed this morning. That's probably the most regular I've been EVER! We dtd on 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 17, 18 so I hope that's enough! Ready for a rest now! Didn't feel like it after training last night at all but the month we conceived ds we carried on a couple of days after ov as we were on holiday and felt like it and I do wonder if that was the difference! I haven't got that long to wait as my lp is 10 or 11 days with spotting starting on between 8 and 10.

AvaAmulet · 28/07/2015 10:12

Thanks guys, I was struggling to sleep until 5am! I woke up wondering if AF would arrive today, then I remembered, duh Smile

Can I lurk for a couple of weeks until it sinks in please? This thread has been my home since I joined MN, it's the reason I joined, and I don't feel ready to move just yet. I'm only 5 weeks on Saturday. Promise I won't hog the thread any more though Wink x

AvaAmulet · 28/07/2015 10:14

Great news Mini, my LP was 10-11 days these past few cycles. Good luck x

Aufwiedersehenpetrarch · 28/07/2015 11:42

ava Are you sure you're 5 weeks? If you're due 2 April? Or wait, am I wrong and you're due in March already? I'm due 1 April and I'm 4w 4d today as I know exactly when I ov-ed (10 July) due to the hcg shot. Confused
Girls, you are all doing brilliantly. It is such a different story for those of us who are trying or tried to conceive while continuing to bf or having to make the choice to stop to get pregnant. A long, hard road, but it will happen.
I'm going into hiding for a few days for personal reasons but will check in again soon. Look after yourselves!

peardrop2 · 28/07/2015 11:59

I tested again this morning because I'm now addicted Blush I got another two strong lines. Isn't that odd? To have 3 days of positive OPks? I also got a huge amount of Ewcm this morning and more cramping. I feel frustrated Confused Maybe OV has been delayed...again?!

Mini - I also have a short Lp. I have spotting on dpo11 normally and AF officially begins on dpo12.

Wax - Thanks for reminding me that you didn't have a relaxed month Wink I did think of you to calm myself down Grin

Cupcakes - lol Wendy. That's a whole other Wendy Grin

I feel like I need to make all these bfp ladies a Grad thread! Could be like my balancing out for being Envy Grin

AvaAmulet · 28/07/2015 12:45

Yes Auf, if I've calculated that I'm 5 weeks on Saturday, based on the first day of my last AF that'd make you 5 +1 on Saturday, as you're a day ahead of me Wink

MinisMama13 · 28/07/2015 12:52

Ava definitely stay around, I don't necessarily think there's any reason for any of the pregnant ladies to rush off!
I'm only on here for this thread too!

Auf hope you're ok, see you soon!

Pear maybe you're super fertile this cycle! If you can I'd keep dtd a few more days or even every other day just in case.
Also I thought the optimum time to do the cheapie ov sticks was afternoon? Something to do with hormone levels. I'm happy to be wrong though

DougalTheCheshireCat · 28/07/2015 13:28

Mini I'm in the 2ww, sort of, AF due at the end of this week. However I spot before AF arrives and as that already started, I am guess BFP not likely for me this cycle.

I find these few days really tough every cycle, as logic tells me the spotting probably means no BFP, and yet I don't really know for sure until the end of the cycle.

peardrop2 · 28/07/2015 13:58

Mini - I feel super fertile! There is no way in hell we can dtd tonight but I might consider it tomorrow night. I thought it was over!! Sigh Grin I've just dtd 4 nights in a row (I don't think I've ever achieved that) surely one swimmer can make it to the egg...surely Wink Ava's stuck around for days!!

Douglas - that sounds really tough. I can imagine how infuriating that must be. It will be a relief for you to talk to your Doctor at the private clinic next week won't it!

For all you lovely ladies who have moved onto the bfp journey...

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/2435891-TTC-and-still-breastfeeding-Graduate-Thread-1

By all means stick around here too but I thought since I've been so dead against talking about graduates I would balance the zing and create a home for you all you bfps. I look forward to joining you soon to discuss bloating, maternity clothes and gender Smile

peardrop2 · 28/07/2015 14:12

Ava why are you not counting from when you got a positive opk? Or is it because you didn't do much testing so you don't feel you really know?

OP posts:
MinisMama13 · 28/07/2015 14:29

Definitely go for it tomorrow! I know what you mean though, I just couldn't tonight lol.
Awww lovely idea for a bfp thread! You WILL be on there soon Smile

Dougal spotting can be the worst. I was convinced I was going to get a bfp 2 cycles ago as my spotting went and I had a day between it and af arriving. Definitely something to add to your list for your appointment.

AvaAmulet · 28/07/2015 14:45

Pear, I thought everyone dated their pregnancy from their last AF? I know healthcare professionals do it this way, telling you that you've been pregnant 2 weeks longer than you have actually been. I know exactly when I conceived DD but I still went by what's generally considered the norm for dating a pregnancy, from the date of your LMP Confused

Aufwiedersehenpetrarch · 28/07/2015 14:53

Ava the LMP is a catch-all basis because most people won't know their OV/conception date at all. If you know your conception/OV date then you just add two weeks on to that to "fit into the catch-all LMP"-system.
The fertility clinic confirmed this for me. So my OV date was the 10th of July so at that point I was "already 2 weeks pregnant". Which makes me 4w4d today. :)
Thanks pear!
I am really buggering off now for those few days. Damn internet tab left open with this thread on it so I peaked! Grin

Aufwiedersehenpetrarch · 28/07/2015 14:53

mini I'm fine btw. Thanks for asking! :)

Aufwiedersehenpetrarch · 28/07/2015 14:57

To clarify: The fertility clinic confirmed this for me. So my OV date was the 10th of July so at that point I was "already 2 weeks pregnant" even though my period started not 14 days previously but 18 days previously. Which makes me 4w4d today. :)

Aufwiedersehenpetrarch · 28/07/2015 14:58

ava Try this, and insert your OV/Conception date: www.countdowntopregnancy.com/tools/due-date-calculator.php#results

Aufwiedersehenpetrarch · 28/07/2015 14:58

Okay I'm no seriously go-ooo-ooing! :)

AvaAmulet · 28/07/2015 15:00

Yes, Auf in previous months I would have gone to the GP with my exact date of conception as I had been charting. I don't know my exact ov date for July as we were taking a break from charting and opks too really, therefore, dating my pg from the date of my last menstual period, which is the best I can do, I'm 5 weeks on Saturday, like I said, until an ultrasound tells me otherwise Wink Wink Wink

Aufwiedersehenpetrarch · 28/07/2015 15:03

Ooo-oooh sorry ava. :) I misread that above when you said with DD you knew the exact date of conception and thought you meant you knew the exact date of conception this time around. It's because I'm running around like a mad thing and should really close this window NOW--
Keep us up to date! :)
Okay. Bye. End broadcast. Cheers. Ciao. Toodles.

AvaAmulet · 28/07/2015 15:17

We only dtd on 8th July and I had EWCM on that day only. I poas just out of curiosity that day and it was a strong-ish line but definitely not a positive. That was the only opk used for that cycle. Goodness knows how long after that I actually ov'd?? It'll be interesting to find out how long the swimmers actually hung around for Shock

peardrop2 · 28/07/2015 19:15

Yes Ava I'm really intrigued to find out whether you have a girl or boy! I hope I find out Smile
