Peardrop - age 33, TTC cycle #9, DS is 26 months (stopped bf soon to be 4 months ago). Af returned when DS 14months, currently on CD14 and have had 4 flashing smileys. Praying for a static smiley tomorrow! Dangling legs in air!

So, I've uploaded a picture of my ic opk. To me it looked like a positive result so I cracked open my last pink Clearblue stick and it was negative Sad I am confused now. On second viewing the second line on the ic opk stick isn't quite as dark is it? So close though! I have no more sticks left Shock I think I should book my blood test for next Wednesday. Or do you think Thursday is better? I don't know how much difference 1 day makes.

Uuuuuhhh it's going to take all my will power not to run out and spend money on more opk sticks today Sad

I was thinking ovulation bleeds Leamice and thats?

I don't think the line is as dark as control line, but it's very close, so I reckon you're either side of a surge? Certainly looks promising.

Espresso - congratulations on the job offer. You should definitely take it. Sod's Law dictates that you'll immediately get pregnant.

I was away with a friend for a girly weekend, lovely break. DS got on great with DH and was in super form. I was hoping he might be less enthused about feeding on my return, but no such luck! Still he has been sleeping well so no night feeds and the 2 day break can only help. I'm on CD 15 so DTD 2 days ago and will again tonight and for the next few nights. Haven't been using ov tests.

peardrop2 · 06/10/2015 14:07

Elle - Thanks for looking. I agree with your verdict. Glad you had a lovely time! Hopefully your relaxed break has put your body in a good place for baby making Smile How annoying that your DS isn't forgetful though Wink They're not silly little people are they!!

OK, so after explaining what was going on to DH this morning and all my how do I know when to book my blood test drama...he then told me to stop wasting time and go buy more tests because some people out there are spending thousands on IVF and I'm wasting time talking about twenty pounds. So, I did just that and went and brought more tests Blush Oh well...at least I can tell you all tomorrow whether it's smiley or no smiley Smile

I like the sound of your DH pear. Hope you get a good result tomorrow.

I suspected ov spotting as well, definitely out this month as haven't dtd, next month I plan to start properly! Argh!!! That's the first time I've admitted that to myself or anybody!

peardrop2 · 06/10/2015 22:31

I'm a bit worried about my body. For the last 2 cycles (including this one) I have been experiencing around OV time...constipation, OV pains on my left side (that hurt when dtd) and spots on my face (the kind that show a lump on your skin in weird places that don't show up but are quite sore). Today, I got a raised spot above my eye lid, below my eyebrow. It's such a weird place. I've never ever had a spot here! It's got no white head it's just sore and raised. Horribly hormonal Sad What's going on?!?! I read up on PCOS cysts and endromitus this afternoon. Scared me a lot!! Shock

That's - I wish I could be as relaxed as you! Definitely not a bad thing Wink

Your opk looked almost positive yesterday pear so I'm guessing you'll have a blazing one/ static smiley this morning. Glad you got more tests, your dh is right, £20 isn't a lot in the grand scheme of things.

Glad you had a nice break Elle, sounds like you are nice and relaxed, we know from Ava that relaxed works wonders, good luck :)

Clara, was it AF starting or dos you get your bfp?

Not much to report here, still spotting tiny amounts. FF has added new crosshairs saying Ov on CD 53 which was 48hrs after +ve opk, I'm now on cd60 so maybe 7dpo... Obviously not much hope with all the spotting which started on 2dpo! plus the fact that FF gave me an ov much earlier in the cycle but then took it away. I'll prob still test soon anyway as I'm an addict and I have lots of ICs :)

peardrop2 · 07/10/2015 08:06

CD24 no blazing static smiley to report Sad Plus I think I've messed up my chances because I hardly got a wink of sleep last night. Seriously!! For some stupid reason I started doing Christmas shopping and then I was wide awake until 3:30am!!!! I look terrible. Shock!!! And I'm going out tonight so I have no idea what I was thinking Angry So silly! I didn't spot any ewcm yesterday. I seemed to have dried up! I ovd on cd25 last month so you never know but I think I've got myself too worked up about it this month (not to mention too tired!!). What a silly crazy person I am!!

peardrop2 · 07/10/2015 08:06

Lea - Yay you're the next tester Wink

OP posts:
Leamice · 07/10/2015 09:15

Pear- Could still be cd25, did you test yesterday evening or previous day?

I think my AF is coming today, more spotting than previous days and crampy feeling. I got my hopes up too soon lol. Ah well. Next cycle I'm going to be super healthy to see if that helps.

peardrop2 · 07/10/2015 10:39

Lea - Sad pants. I'm joining you with healthy month next cycle though!!

OP posts:
peardrop2 · 07/10/2015 14:12

Lea - I read an article that if you have cysts on your ovaries then just by cutting out sugar and grains (I'm not sure what it meant by grains, maybe carbs?!) you can dramatically reduce the amount of cysts! Not that we have that issue at all but I was really interested to read how changing your eating can have that much of an effect on your body because that is crazy to think that eating can do that!!!

DH and I had a quick chat this morning about how we could both look at changing our lifestyle habits! Not that we're obese or anything close but we have fallen into the couch potato and pudding trap more than normal. TTC Stress eating is what we've been doing! Anyway, it's good that we're at least talking about it and DH is thinking about buying a treadmill for the spare room. I'm thinking about going back to WW as tracking what I eat works for me.

OP posts:
Leamice · 07/10/2015 19:15

I read that too about the sugar, seeing as I have polycystic ovaries I probably should avoid! I think I read to avoid bad fats, sugar and too much carbs.
my dh is very fit and healthy so it's all on me to do better lol.

Leamice · 07/10/2015 19:16

I liked slimming world but I won't be able to go to meetings as work odd shifts and I've tried doing online and didn't stick to it well :(

ThatsNotEvenAWord · 07/10/2015 19:33

I do SW if you wanted some moral support Smile got to find the one that suits you though

peardrop2 · 08/10/2015 06:22

Naturally because DH had an argument last night and couldn't force ourself to dtd I have woken up to a smiley face Angry Could not be more annoyed!!!! I have not dtd since Monday. I suppose it could be worse but very annoying anyway! I guess we will make up for it tonight and at least I can make my blood test appointment for next Thursday. So, this is the second month that I've got a peak on CD25...that's interesting.

OP posts:
peardrop2 · 08/10/2015 08:03

DH has offered to come home early but I don't know if it is worth it Hmm Obviously I know it is a good idea to have sex ASAP but it would be a massive inconvenience to his working day and just for the sake of a few hours...is it really worth it?! I think maybe we should just stick to an early night. He was in a great mood when he left for work this morning...NOT! lol

OP posts:
peardrop2 · 08/10/2015 08:04

The joys of TTC hey Wink

ToElleWithIt · 08/10/2015 08:39

Sod's law eh! How many hours in the difference?

Crap Leamice

Meant to DTD last night too, but DH was working late and got sucked into the GBBO final I had recorded and was too shattered, typical. Will get on it tonight.

peardrop2 · 08/10/2015 11:45

6 hrs. That's quite a lot isn't it?! We're still debating the issue...sigh.

OP posts:
peardrop2 · 08/10/2015 14:12

DH did come home in the end and has gone back to work. I hope for his sake that it was worth it Confused

Elle - it's soooo hard not to get sucked into TV isn't it. I know what you mean!! Good luck with tonight!

OP posts:
ToElleWithIt · 08/10/2015 14:23

I think I would have done the same. 6 hours is a fair bit.

DougalTheCheshireCat · 08/10/2015 16:57

Ah Pear. It's not easy all this stuff is it?

We've had a few nights of no DTD when we should have due to an argument (renovation is stressful). Great that you've managed to fit it in today though. Fingers crossed for you.

I got a static smiley last week (don't get the flashing ones, progesterone levels being one of the things I hope will improve now I've more or less stopped BF).

However, I do not have a corresponding temperature rise yet, making me wonder. It looks like it was climbing this Tuesday (have not check again) and I've had a bit of creamy and egg white mucus this week. Last DtD on sunday so wonder if we should again.

Whereas last cycle I had a temp rise when I thought I would ovulate (but gynae said she didn't think I had) and no temp rise when (she told me) I did ovulate.

So I'm really confused. I thought the temp rise was supposed to be the best way of tracking and confirming ovulation. But mine doesn't seem that reliable.

Le sigh. Any ideas on temp rises anyone? Or is it that temp rises are accurate if your cycle is stable, but, like the other stuff, if things are flexing around, the temp rise might occur without ovulation, or the LH surge can come a long time (6-7 days??) before ovulation actually occurs?

In other news: last night I put DD to be without BFing her for the first time ever. She did ask, but was accepting of me saying no without getting upset. So maybe not quite the end (DH does bedtime a lot at the moment, if she really needs it I let her have a 2 min feed when I do it), but another (and big) step in the road.
