Peardrop - age 33, TTC cycle #9, DS is 26 months (stopped bf soon to be 4 months ago). Af returned when DS 14months, currently on CD14 and have had 4 flashing smileys. Praying for a static smiley tomorrow! Dangling legs in air!

Lea, so sorry to hear that. Brilliant that they're referring you though...one step closer!!

I think I'm going to treat it as though I'll ov on cd 19/20 like I would if this were a normal cycle, it has to be possible right?! I mean before DS I had regular AF and conceived first month ttc so I'm hoping that although my ovaries are polycystic they function normally and it was the BF hormones stopping my cycle.... Long shot I know! My hormone levels were normal from blood test so should be able to ov. I'll keep my fingers crossed!

ispyfispi · 20/08/2015 20:18

Thanks all. Yes this thread has gone really quiet, I can't remember everyone's stats anymore ???? I'll hang around though if that's okay?! Without meaning to rub it in Pear I have a whole bunch of the CB dual hormone sticks and some ic opks and hpts I'd like to pass on but I totally understand that with these security breaches you might be uncomfortable pming me your address, even anonymously!

peardrop2 · 20/08/2015 21:42

Ispy - that's really kind of you but you don't want to tempt fate just yet by passing them on!! I'm not poas much this month. In fact I'm doing nearly the exact opposite to how I am normally. I'm eating and drinking what I fancy. I really have just given up this month Sad

Lea - wow isn't that crazy!! How is that possible?!?! A question you must be asking yourself lots. It's amazing how you conceived first month and now it feels like the opposite. I agree with you, act like you will ovulate as you've got nothing to loose!

I've got to buy more Agnus Cactus tomorrow which is pretty annoying Confused £11.95 down the drain...maybe! I feel like if I stop taking it then it might have a bad effect.

I had a really nice 5 month old cuddles today. My ds was busy stroking and tickling her toes Sad I know it will be me soon, I just wish I didn't have to be the last ????

Leamice, hope you don't have to wait to long for your referral. I was referred all around the place while waiting for my period to return after coming off the pill and it was really frustrating. As your hormone levels are normal and you don't have a history of PCOS sounds like you still have a good chance of falling pregnant :)

Pear, I bought my agnus cactus from ocado for about £8 for 60 tablets (it is also on a 3 for 2 offer at the moment), but don't know if it is the same dosage you have been taking. I was taking loads of natural supplements a bit before falling pregnant with DS (under the care of a naturopath who specialised in fertility), but couldn't afford to keep it up and ended up just taking agnus cactus and some multi-vits. My GP told me that as my hormone levels were normal (had the Day-21 test the month before falling pregnant) there was no need for it and I stopped taking it soon after I fell pregnant. Although I have also heard that it can help support hormone levels in the first trimester.

peardrop2 · 20/08/2015 22:40

It says on the bottle 400mg

OP posts:
aprilrainshowers · 20/08/2015 22:48

Pear, that's the same dosage as the one I have. It is marketed as PremEeze but is just agnus cactus.

peardrop2 · 21/08/2015 07:25

April - good to know! I might pop into my local Superdrug to see what offers they have too. How silly of me not to in the first place!

Just popped in and saw the good news. Congrats Ispy Smile

I also lost this thread from the TIO Mini - strange that!

aprilrainshowers · 22/08/2015 20:39

Hope everyone is doing okay?

Think I am now in the 2ww, except it will probably only be one week for me Sad Thought we had missed ovulation but got a positive on an (ic) ovulation test on Friday morning which was CD23, a couple of days later than I think I ovulated last cycle. Anyway only managed to dtd on CD19 and 23 in my fertile window, so not a great effort Blush, but felt like quite a feat with everything else that is going on at the moment. Happy that I at least managed to see a positive ovulation test which has never happened before, and today have sore nipples when feeding, what feels like a dip in supply, bloating, and smelling things that others aren't (no longer excited by these symptoms as had them the last couple of cycles too!). Guess I am just hoping for some lengthening of my LP as if anything think it decreased from cycle 1 to 2..

Leamice · 23/08/2015 04:37

Fingers crossed for you April, Ava had only Dtd once on her bfp cycle so definitely possible. Hope your tww goes quickly for you and you get your bfp in a week or so time :)

CD15 here, I'm still waiting to Ov, if I do it should be about 5 more days, we are Dtd Eod in hope! I have had some Ewcm so hoping it's a good sign.

Hope everyone else is good. Pear, you ok? Still calm?

ispyfispi · 23/08/2015 07:31

Thanks Lost! If it helps April I ovulated on cd25/26 this cycle!

peardrop2 · 23/08/2015 17:18

Good luck April, hope it doesn't drag!!!!

Lea, I'm OK thanks. I am still doing the opposite. Poas every 3 days, eating and drinking what I like and forgetting to take folic acid (I never forget) so yeah I guess I am calmer given up. I'm on cd15 and didn't OV until CD 22 last month so still got a few days left.

OP posts:
aprilrainshowers · 23/08/2015 20:17

Thanks Lea. Ewcm sounds very promising for ovulating when you expect to. Hopefully you won't need that referral :)

Ispy, good to know a longer cycle isn't necessarily a bad sign. Out of curiosity, what was your LP in previous cycles?

Pear, fingers crossed your relaxed approach is just what is required. I'm hoping to spend less time googling possible symptoms this month. Guess the one benefit of a short LP is a smaller fraction of my life spent symptom spotting though..

ispyfispi · 23/08/2015 20:57

Pre children my cycles were a pretty textbook 28 days and I think I ovulated reasonably early. I've only had one postpartum cycle to compare with but my lp last month was only 9/10 days so it improved pretty quickly. My ds is 21mo though so I waited ages for af to return at all!

aprilrainshowers · 23/08/2015 21:10

Thanks ispy. My cycles didn't return until late either (DS over 18 months) so it is hard not to feel impatient for things to get back to normal (or just a bfp!). Hope that you are feeling well and the good news is sinking in!

ispyfispi · 23/08/2015 22:02

Well apparently taking longer for af to return means a quicker return to full fertility when they do so fingers crossed for you!

Good luck with the dtd marathon Lea, it's exhausting!

A blase attitude has been known to work well Pear Grin

I'm fine thanks, technically 6 weeks today based on lmp but as I ovd so late I'm probably not even 5 yet Confused so I imagine I'll start feeling like crap soon enough!

peardrop2 · 26/08/2015 16:08

April - have you completed week 1 yet? Avoided mad symptom spotting?

I'm on cd18. I should in theory OV on cd22. I've only dtd once this week so I need to step up my game.

How's everyone else?

OP posts:
aprilrainshowers · 26/08/2015 18:50

Still only at 5dpo here! Can't help symptom spotting but not noticed anything to give me any hope... nipples still sore but no pain at side of breasts which I have heard can be a sign of low progesterone (anyone know?) so I'm thinking my chances are very very low..

Good luck Pear, sounds like you are set to ovulate over the weekend which is good timing?!

Leamice · 27/08/2015 01:06

I should ov in the next few days, hoping to anyway. Been Dtd EOD. If I do actually Ov I feel like I'm in with a good chance....

April, I'm sure I read something similar about side breast pain being the healthy sign, but can't remember where I read it.

ThatsNotEvenAWord · 27/08/2015 18:55

Hello

Hope it's ok to join this thread as I've only just stopped taking the pill. DS is 14mo, we breastfeed first thing in the morning and before each sleep (so usually 3-4 times a day) although I've been trying to cut out feeding during the night. Waiting for the return of my period, as I recall last time I came off it took about 5-6 weeks to come back. DH not keen on 'trying' exactly but doubt I will be able to resist tracking my cycle etc.

Anyway just saying hello really and hoping to hang around on the thread. Wishing you all lots of luck with ttc

Leamice · 27/08/2015 20:10

Hi ThatsNot , Good luck and welcome :)

Nothing new here, no Ov yet, lots of DTD EoD or more (exhausting!), every morning hoping to see a big temp rise but not happened yet.

Hope very one is well

Leamice · 27/08/2015 20:10

*everyone

peardrop2 · 28/08/2015 00:58

Cd20 here. Due to ov on Sunday. Spotted ewcm on CD19 so I'm hopeful all is on track. I've only dtd 3x this month so I'm still going for the v relaxed approach. Will probably only dtd 2/3 times more which is less then half of the normal amount. Haven't brought anymore Agnus cactus and have now run out of Pregnacare vitamins.

Welcome newbie ????
