So, on the back of a run of rather fantastic success stories, it's time to start another thread for those of us still driving ourselves a bit nuts trying to work out why number 2 seems to be so elusive. New frustrated, obsessive testers always welcome (as are our lovely graduates) and let's hope this thread turns out as many success stories as the last.

Any update fruit?

Wait 19 cycles must be tough any views from Docs as to what the issue might be?

We now on cycle 11 my period for November was 4 days later than it has been for months it then lasted 7 days I now have no clue when I am fertile or not my kindara app says I should be nearing ovulation today onwards with Saturday peak day but I seem to have some sort of gastric bug and have been suffering from what I shall only call "digestive distress" for the past 24 hours which shows no signs of abating so no way we ttc tonight.

Waitandwine · 02/12/2015 18:36

Hi figgy, had the standard tests done and have a follow up appointment at the hosiptal to see what they think in a few weeks. In my last appointment they thought my FSH result was higher than they would have liked. I did have a mc last December, so they saw the fact I did get pregnant as a positive sign.

Hope your 'distress' goes away pronto! I use the clear blue fertility sticks and fertility friend app, I've got to get lucky soon, surely!!

Fruitbatyogi · 02/12/2015 18:55

Thanks for all the wishes guys!

Af got me yesterday - bit of a tearful day but picked myself up and booked HSG - so now abstaining until next tursday. Luckily only cd 8 so still in with a chance this month.

And back to the consultant at the end of the month.

I'm joining you on the positivity streak wait!

Holdin my thumbs still little - sounds good so far xxx

And figgy hope you're feeling better soon xxx

Metalhead · 02/12/2015 19:23

Hi all, for those who remember me, I just wanted to pop back in to say our baby girl was born this morning via ELCS, weighing 7lbs 11oz and looking very much like her big sister!

Good luck to you all, especially you little with your IVF. I sincerely hope you'll all get your much-wanted babies in the end! x

LittlePoot · 02/12/2015 19:48

Fruitbatyogi · 02/12/2015 21:22

Ohh metal so pleased to hear this :)
Wishing you a speedy recovery and a peaceful first few weeks xxx

mousey100 · 02/12/2015 22:41

Congrats Metal!

After a fortnight of high anxiety, I am cautiously beginning to believe I am pregnant! Am on a fairly gruesome concoction of progesterone, steroids and injections twice a day in the hopes of avoiding another mc this year. Only 5 1/2 weeks, but crossing everything possible that this one sticks. It's been 10 months ttc, a loss at 19 weeks and two early mcs and still v early days, but I'm hopeful that 2016 will be a better year for us all. X

VillageFete · 02/12/2015 22:50

Oh Metal Wonderful news!!! HUGE congratulations. Well done you Flowers

Little Thinking of you. It must be nerve wrecking, everything crossed all goes to plan.

I'm thinking of going on clomid as I didn't ov in Nov (I rhymed) but I did ov in Oct. I was hoping to keep trying in December and asking my GP for a day 21 blood test to confirm if I ov'd (my clear blue fertility monitor is an accurate indicator according to both consultants I've seen but i'd prefer a blood test to back it up) Then i'll make my mind up. I think if I do ov in December then i'll keep trying as normal, if I don't then it's clomid time. Do you think my GP will give me another blood test as I had one in May? That confirmed I ov'd.

Waitandwine · 03/12/2015 09:20

Mousey, that sounds like fantastic news. I'll keep my fingers crossed everything goes well xxx

Looks like someone has been trying to tout their business above then ......naughty naughty!!

I have been to Dr today as been so ill the last few days steaming temperatures, freezing cold, lost 5lbs as cant eat, ongoing nausea, now headache probably due to dehydration and then yesterday started bleeding brown blood vaginally. Turns out I have a kidney infection a pretty nasty one too.

I have 21 day bloods booked for next week to check ovulation as next month have been ttc for 12 months and I turn 35. I didn't get a positive OPK last month and then haven't had one over the last 4-5 days which date wise was supposed to be peak time I assume that its just not happened due to feeling so wretched.

Just thinking of the positives of not being PG in December - lots of cheese, pate, prosecco just need to get these antibiotics out of the way first.

LittlePoot · 07/12/2015 15:39

Oh figgy - you poor thing. That sounds horrible! Hope it clears up soon and you're feeling better. And hope day 21 bloods give you some useful info.

Congratulations Metal!

Fruitbatyogi · 07/12/2015 20:27

Oh figgy that sounds horrible :(

How's it going little -still holding my thumbs xx

I've got my HSG tomorrow hoping it won't be too bad.

Overall today really really bored with ttc - I have so lost interest in the process

LittlePoot · 07/12/2015 21:05

Fruitbat- me too. So over it. All ok I think here. 10 embryos growing in the clinic - just keep holding those thumbs that at least one of them makes it through the tricky transition to blastocyst tomorrow and has normal chromosomes. We find out Thursday and if there's a good one, they'll stick it in and see what happens. Hard week waiting. Always the waiting.

Figgygal · 08/12/2015 14:29

hope it goes ok today Fruit and good luck for Thursday Little.

I've written this month off for ttc with this sickness I haven't ovulated yet and with this bleeding now having become a proper bleed I think there is actually a medical reason why we not getting pg I just feel it DH is annoyed at me for thinking it but this between period bleeding cannot be a good sign and this isn't the only month it has happened it has to indicate something is not right.

LittlePoot · 09/12/2015 19:48

Hmmm. We're down from ten to three still alive, now waiting to see the chromosome results. Am not very hopeful....

Fruitbatyogi · 09/12/2015 20:05

Oh little still holding thumbs - it only takes one remember xx [hugs]

figgy [hugs] - I reckon go to gp - I was pretty scared about going to mine but overall it has been helpful and got a referal to the specialist. - my dh also avoidant only recently admitted it made him sad too.

My HSG was actually totally fine, no pain at all, just like a smear, out in 20mins, radiologist showed me the pics and said all normal. So back to the fertility doc on the 21st for all the results. (Summary I suspect your ovarian reserve is shonky but will await official confirmation of that..)

Right now on an every other day schedule post HSG, af due Xmas day - the gift that never stops giving...Hmm

Waitandwine · 10/12/2015 10:43

Little, Fingers crossed you have three strong ones, thinking of you today.

Figgy, sounds like you need to talk to the doc about bleeding, it may be something they can easily sort.

Fruit, the gift that never stops giving....gave me a good laugh, know what you mean!

Mousey, how are you doing? Fingers crossed for you.

I have my consultant appoint on Monday, let's see what they can suggest after all the tests. I really hope there is something to try, I need a fresh focus.

Waitandwine · 10/12/2015 13:32

What a difference a morning makes, I'm afraid it was not a period but early miscarriage. Exactly one year after the last one.

Been spotting then bit of bleeding the spotting for 6 days, had a smear yesterday and nurse asked me if I had been recently pregnant, which I thought was odd. I have bled a lot since the smear when it was only spotting when I walked in. I am now day 9.

Something made me poas and I got my much wanted positive, called the epu and they said early miscarriage test again in a week.

What a crappy roller coaster, will postpone my consultant app next week until my head is straight.

LittlePoot · 10/12/2015 15:32

Crappy day all round then - sorry to hear your news wait. Ours isn't good either. Two definitely duff, one looks duff but they can't be sure so are testing it again and we'll find out in two weeks. Clinic have already called to arrange the ' what went wrong ' review meeting so I think that means game over. Arses.

Waitandwine · 10/12/2015 15:51
