i used to have really long (45 day) cycles. when i was pg with my 2nd child i used to get really bad pains down the backs of my legs every time we had sex. since giving birth i now get the pains every time i have a period, so i thought the pains must be something to do with my uterus. my cycle has also changed and is now much shorter and i bleed on and off throughout the whole cycle. i am really confused as to what is going on and i wondered if anyone else has experienced anything similar?

As you are bleeding on and off throughout your cycle I would seek medical advice from a gynae asap. Deep pain during sex can be symptomatic of endometriosis; painful periods leading up to and throughout the period is another. This needs to be investigated further - your GP should refer you to a gynae as a matter of urgency.
