Reinstating the gin deck from a previous bus for AF arrivals, and stocking up on pineapple juice and Brazil nuts, fx for lots of BFPs this month.

congrats Auf wishing you a happy pregnacy xx

megarobotdiscoparty · 20/07/2015 19:10

Happy new thermometer day dizzym! Grin I am a bit of a roaming lurker atm - not ready for the AN bus yet and the grads thread was pretty quiet last time I checked. Will let you know if I set up shop elsewhere. In the meantime I hope you don't mind if I pop in and say hello every now and then!

megarobotdiscoparty · 20/07/2015 19:11

X post kir hello to you, your royal stretchiness! I'm good thanks, how the dickens are you?

BabyBumpHopeful · 20/07/2015 19:22

Congrats Auf!!

Well I'm CD4 and I feel like I want to be sick... too early for symptoms? Yeah yeah I know :P Reality is I just had lunch and now I'm burping like mad so either it doesn't agree with me, or I ate too fast or something. Also my boss is off sick with the bug that's doing the rounds... I'm probably just next in line for pukes-ville. Le sigh.

Hope everyone else is doing well!

Kirjava · 20/07/2015 19:22

I'm fine thanks mega, just impatiently waiting to poas and trying not to symptom spot and trying to not obsess

Nomio230 · 20/07/2015 19:24

Nice to hear from you, Robot. Feel free to lurk on here as much as you like. We are pretty dead at the minute, as everyone keeps getting upduffed!

I have tried pretty much every supplement going & nothing has worked, so I just stick with conception multi vits these days.

Kir, I hope your cold doesn't develop. I always think it seems really unfair being ill on your birthday.

Btw, I normally start testing about 8DPO Blush. I justify it by telling myself that we have had 8DPO BFPs on here before.

Nomio230 · 20/07/2015 19:26

BBH, are you CD4, or 4DPO? CD4 is most definitely too early!

Hairstylisttoboris · 20/07/2015 19:35

Bbh is my cycle twin, she's 4dpo

DizzyMerry · 20/07/2015 19:50

Feel free to pop in whenever you want mega we could do with the company as it's so quiet on here.

Love the symptom spotting and can join in for the first time! I've been feeling nauseous since yesterday, which is probably just the progesterone but it's never happened before.

Oysterbabe · 20/07/2015 20:42

Mega the Grads FB group is fairly lively so people don't really post on the thread.

I had my 12 week scan today and everything was fine.

Hope everyone is good here in TTC land. I do still lurk occasionally to see how you're getting on Smile

chopsface · 20/07/2015 20:49

Still lurking too Grin 19 weeks today in case anyone was wondering? Time seems to be going faster now, eeek!

Congrats auf!!!!

loopylou1984 · 20/07/2015 20:54

Evening everyone

Hope you're all ok?
Sorry I've been MIA for the best part of a week, have really felt rubbish. For anyone embarking on the IVF journey do not treat OHSS lightly, when they say drink litres, you drink litres! I dread to think how bad it could have been if I hadn't!

Hello grads, lovely to see you all Smile

Congratulations again to Auf! Xx

Saw this on Facebook!

Come join us on the bumsnet conception bus
Nomio230 · 20/07/2015 21:18

Wow, that seems to have gone really quickly, Chops. Are you going to find out the sex at your next scan?

Glad everything was ok, Oyster.

DizzyM, what progesterone are you on?

Mummyofonesofar · 20/07/2015 21:18

Was going to read back but haven't.

Nomio230 · 20/07/2015 21:19

That should be our new bus picture, Mummy!

DizzyMerry · 20/07/2015 21:25

Lol at the picture mummy!

Nomio I meant the progesterone rise after ov. I wish I was on something to speed up this process Hmm

Congrats on your 12 week scan oyster.

Time is flying chops it doesn't seem too long ago when you announced your bfp.

Mummyofonesofar · 20/07/2015 21:31

It should be! It reminds me of the one that......someone..... drew once upon a bumsnet.

DizzyMerry · 20/07/2015 22:08

Ah those were the days mummy Sad

ThePug · 20/07/2015 22:24

mummy It was Giddymama who drew it and it was on the very first bus I joined on MN back in January. The days when a bus was full within 3 days!

Waves to everyone. goes back to lurking in same fashion as mega as not joining AN threads yet

bananafish81 · 20/07/2015 23:09

Hi ladies, is there room for a little ‘un?

Can’t see any specific entry criteria for hopping on the bus, so wondering if I might be able to join you?

I’m 33, DH 44, TTC#1, cycle 1 - although I have PCOS and the plan was for me to go straight from the pill to Clomid, to use my withdrawal bleed as CD1 - because the last time I came off the pill I had one 9-month-long anovulatory cycle! I decided however to hold off on the Clomid till after the summer, and come off the pill first, to get one set of hormones out my system before chucking another hormone at it. I absolutely didn't expect anything to happen, but I was determined to try and regulate my hormones as best I could to get in shape for the Clomid

I was pretty amazed when in my first month off the pill, I actually ovulated! AF just arrived which means I can go for my Day 3 bloods on Weds

I had a bit of a scary scan when I went for a fertility MOT scan at a clinic not far from where I was working. I had one 5 years ago, which was when I was diagnosed with PCOS, and thought I’d cough up the £200 to see how things were looking now, 5 years on. The last time, I had 42 antral follicles in total, so def polycystic, but had good ovarian reserve. This time I only had 5, which if correct would suggest my fertility has dropped off a cliff, and I’m crashing towards premature ovarian failure.

I went bawling to see my consultant, who said it could well be that they shouldn’t have done it so soon after coming off the pill - but that we’d do full Day 3 bloods, and a scan 10 days later (which will be c. 7 weeks off the pill, rather than the < 2 weeks when I had the last one), and see where things are. If the results aren’t great, and my fertility has dropped off a cliff, then we’ll doubtless be running straight to IVF as quickly as possible. Keeping fingers crossed it’s the pill giving a misleading picture (which studies have shown - women who are on or who recently came off the pill can have older ‘looking’ ovaries, than they actually do (i.e. the no of follicles and AMH rises once the pill is properly out their system). If it’s not, then I guess it’ll be a blessing to know sooner rather than later.

Sorry for rambling on!!

Thanks loads, xx

bananafish81 · 20/07/2015 23:18

Although I have potentially bad news hanging over me, on the plus side, I magically ovulated in my first month off the pill! I’m normally massively sceptical of alternative remedies, but TTC sends you loopy, so I chugged half of Holland and Barrett. Including inositol (supposed to work in a similar way to Metformin - some encourage studies on it) and soy isoflavones on CD3-8 - no data on this, only anecdotal accounts on forums, but the theory is that it works in a similar way to Clomid.

I can only speak for my experience, but I got hot flashes and a stonking headache on the days when I took a higher dose of the soy isoflavones - which I understand are common Clomid side effects - and I unexpectedly laid an egg this month. No idea if the two are in any way related, but I’m def gonna keep at it this month, in the hope of ovulating again!

Kirjava · 21/07/2015 06:03

Hi grads! Nice to see you all.

welcome banana!

Bfn at 9dpo which is no surprise. Tested as had a myriad of new symptoms yesterday - my boobs and stomach were hot to the touch, coldy, dizzy, exhausted and 'vacant'. Slept badly last night so now just knackered! Not testing again until sat when I'll be 12 dpo so will see if af gets me before then.

Off to fall asleep on the train. Roll on home time!

Kirjava · 21/07/2015 06:03

Have good days all Grin

spinningirl10 · 21/07/2015 06:25

Raluca, sorry I got you confused with Kirjava yesterday!Grin

You soon.
