I think I am 1dpo as yesterday I had a +opk and a dip and today a temp rise. we dutifully dtd on Wed, Fri and Yesterday so fingers crossed! What else can we do?

CarrotVan · 10/08/2015 16:26

I've moved my EPU scan/assessment forward by a few days so I don't have to take the toddler. I can't imagine that a potential internal scan and possible bad news would be easy to take with the jolliest toddler in the world going "what dat mummy? what lady doing?"

Carrot I am sure it will be all right! And is the line gets darker that is a good sign! With my 2nd mc the line was never as dark as with my previous pregnancies so if you get darker lines relax! :)

MrsNuckyThompson · 10/08/2015 18:05

I'm one of those moved to the bottom of the list!

I had my famous disappearing AF, 14 days late but no bfp then she just appeared again and now everything is all over the place. I'm tracking via cb fm so will test when it tells me. I'm 7dpo now I believe!

Itsme247 · 10/08/2015 19:40

Can someone please please tell me I'm crazy and not to get my hopes up.

We booked a skiing holiday on the weekend for Christmas because with my recent high prolactin diagnosis I am pretty much resigned to the fact that it probably won't happen without drugs.

Anyway, I'm CD 21 (with cycles anywhere between 24-30 days) and I had my normal cup of tea this morning and had to spit it out immediately because it was rank. Though it was the kettle so had one at work which was also beyond disgusting and I can't even drink a glass of water without it tasting weird.

Has anyone had this happen to them with a BFP?? Or is it all in my head?

CarrotVan · 10/08/2015 20:06

With my first pregnancy I went on and off tea lots and constantly changed how I had it - with/without milk, with/without sugar. A metallic taste is very common in early pregnancy. Try sparkling water with angostura bitters or a squeeze of lemon

ODog · 10/08/2015 21:14

itsme I didn't go off tea in my last pregnancy but I suddenly started liking coffee after never really being keen towards the end and I still like it now, so your taste buds do change. We ski every Xmas and I will be going this year pg or not. I skied when I was around 18ish weeks pg with DS. However, I am an experienced skier and always skied well within my ability and only in good weather. If you don't fancy it though, you can always enjoy a nice book and a hot choc while everyone is on the slopes. or walking tour toddler up and down a baby slope on a sledge for hours on end like me!

Itsme247 · 10/08/2015 21:23

Haha Odog I do love a ski trip and i'd love to do it with my future little ones! Nothing cuter than red cheeks and ski onesies!

Last year DH was a little disappointed when I tempered his enthusiasm with a 'hopefully we'll have a very small baby by then' so maybe we won't go next year.. Of course that didn't happen..

So now that (even if this was to be my BFP month) I'll only be 4 months ish so we thought why the heck not! I think I would definitely ski until bump started to show.

Thisisbonkers · 11/08/2015 08:25

Pregnancy can make tea taste horrible?! Shock I may have to rethink this!

A friend who has just given birth to a very healthy little girl was skiing in April Smile

CarrotVan · 11/08/2015 08:41

I found it really variable with my DS. Most days it was fine, some days it was awful. I went off eggs completely. I'd have aversions for a few days. My only craving was kit kats - proper ones not chunky or weird flavours

Thisisbonkers · 11/08/2015 08:55

My kitkat craving is already in place Grin

I'm making light, but only because I think I'm out this month. Felt rotten last night so no DofTD. Although I'm not sure if I'm ovulating or not. Feeling a bit meh but I'll snap out of it. Being a miserable crony isn't going to help matters Wink

lilygirl81 · 11/08/2015 09:18

Well, I'm out, AF got me this morning. Though I'm really confused, sorry if TMI, but normally I get a day of mild cramps, then a very light amount when I wipe, followed by a couple of heavy days...every month. This morning, I was doing a test, noticed blood on my hand and realised AF had started, very heavily, during the night. I've managed to stain my bed sheets, mattress protector and mattress topper, something that hasn't happened since I was a teenager. Felt so humiliated having to strip the bed. Plus it was a 26 day cycle as opposed to a 28, and really clotty
So, new stats are

itsme when can you test... I am hopeful for a run of BFP!

lilygirl welcome over to the Sept bus with me. Sorry AF arrived and in such a surprising fashion for you! Nothing is ever the same for me month to month - I always think I have things sussed, what my body does and then it changes it. I think it just likes to keep me on my toes!

ODog · 11/08/2015 09:45

Sorry to hear that lily. My cycles are different every month and I'm really trying not to go down the temping/ovulation kit route so I get how frustrating it is when things change all the time.

FlatWhiteToGo · 11/08/2015 10:15

Sorry that so many people have had AF arrive. She's a total cow.

Lily - welcome to the world of TTC. Now that you've started, your (once regular) periods will be all over the place! Smile!! I guess it's better to arrive early than to come late, getting your hopes up. Good luck in September x

Itsme247 · 11/08/2015 11:15

Birchy I'm CD22 and according to the app I'm due on the 19th which would make it a 30 day cycle but that's my max cycle length. AF can show up from anytime from day 24 really.

Had THE most vivid pregnancy dream last night but don't want to say because it makes me sound obsessed ha!

lilygirl81 · 11/08/2015 11:47

Carrot Good plan for the scan, much less stressful for you.

I am glad AF came early rather than late, and I could get used to the no symptoms at all. Glad to hear it's not just my cycles that decide to go bonkers just when you need them to be predictable.

Told DH that this month OV should be around our anniversary so that seems a good sign to me. Also have all my OPKs ready and waiting, and nesting like crazy, decluttering like a mad woman

Very jealous of the ski trips, I have far too little coordination and balance to be able to do things like that

Spotsondots · 11/08/2015 11:55

Hi all

Just checking in. Tentative congrats to carrot and commiserations to those hosting AF this month.

Not sure if we missed the boat this month. If cycles have gone back to 30ish days then almost certainly have as the weekend was obliterated by night shifts and DH being tired and pathetic (you think he had worked the night shift Hmm). If cycle is longer I think we might have a chance but not feeling like August is the month, humph! I'm CD 18 and fed up. On the plus side my gal marathon training is going well! Smile

Spotsondots · 11/08/2015 13:23

Those of you who use cheapy OPKs, where do you buy them from? On eBay there are loads of different ones. Not sure which ones are best. I've never used them before but starting to think it might help concentrate our efforts as it were. Don't have a clue when I ovulate so think I'll need lots and the high street ones seem quite £££ for needing to pee on lots in one month. Grin TIA. X

PallasCat · 11/08/2015 14:26

Just checking in briefly - home today, then away again until the end of next week!
I did an FR Friday and an IC this morning. Both negative. AF due tomorrow but starting to feel like I might be back on a longer cycle so I'll hold out for as long as I can before testing, unless AF gets there first, obviously!
Huge congrats to the BFPs! So exciting!
FX for everyone still to test.
Saw a mention of a new bus... What is it called, please? xxx

CarrotVan · 11/08/2015 14:42

Spots I use the OneStep brand from an Amazon store called HomeHealth. Cheap and quick delivery - usually 1-2 days rather than the 4-5 they quote

Pallas I think Birchy has set up a new sheet on the Stats spreadsheet and is moving people across until an actual new bus thread gets set up closer to September. Although maybe a new Aug/Sept bus will be needed as this one is getting pretty full!

RalucaMorena · 11/08/2015 16:04

I use eBay cheap opk that are marked for 10 units, not 20. And this also goes for hpt.

Emilygremily · 11/08/2015 16:10

Did another test still no change but i don't know if that's because i can't not go to the toilet every 2 hours :( even when i am asleep i wake up. Really bad cramps today so i think AF may appear.

ODog · 11/08/2015 19:48

Quick q for a novice. When you get EWCM does that mean you have ov'd/are currently ov'ing/are about to ov? Or does it just vary from person to person. No EWCM yet but planning to Dtd as much as possible without worrying too much about when I ov. ask me again when we are still doing this a couple of months down the line
