My decaff tea these last few days as I've just been to McDonald's with my colleagues. Oops? We did walk there though Grin

And in light of not letting ttc take over and not carrying on with life, I plan to book the mile long zip wire in Wales this weekend for in the next month or so. We were waiting for my friend to give birth and now she has!

Hi everybody! I'm sorry I've not had chance to read all the posts recently just been having a glance the last few days. Hope you're all well and happy :)

My ic's came this morning (proper pee on a plastic stick ones 20 for £9 off eBay) they are 10mlu and I just took one because I just love to poas! I'm only 7dpo, I think I see a line but surely it's to early and how much can u trust these cheap tests. It appeared quite quickly, the photo was taken after 3 minutes. What do you all think? Am I getting my hopes up x

Hi all

Gosh, the bus is moving along nicely now isn't it? Struggling to catch up with the thread! Congrats glitter on your BFP and commiserations to you madre.

Well, AF is now over and so another month lies ahead. However, I have spent the week deciding (interestingly independently from this thread!) that life goes on and that I'm fed up of putting things on hold "just in case I'm pregnant ". So with that in mind I have signed up to a half marathon in the autumn and will be training like a crazy lady. Running has always been very good for my soul so I'm hopeful that it will put (and keep) me in a relative state of sanity and keep me from obsessing over having a baby. In other words I am sticking two fingers up at Mother Nature and AF and enjoying life. It really is too short, and months of obsessing over non existent symptoms is really becoming quite bad for my wellbeing.

Time for a glass of wine methinks. Cheers to the weekend bus buddies!

I wonder if anyone can help me; this is my first month temping. I'm taking my temp as soon as I wake up in the morning, before getting up.
However, it seems to have been all over the place! Was really up and down during af but I know that's normal but since then it's been pretty up and down. It started levelling out the last few days (along with 2 high fertile smilies) but this morning it's totally dropped! I'm not due to ovulate until mon, it would be really early if I ovulate now, plus I've only had flashing smilies, not a static yet.

I do get up to pee about 4am, it this effecting my temp? If not what's going on?

ODog · 01/08/2015 08:21

I also can't see anything on my phone princes but FX that line gets stronger over next few days! FWIW I think cheap tests are pretty accurate IME.

Emu123 · 01/08/2015 08:27

Hi kitty I've been temping for a while now. Mine is always pretty up and down apart from 3-4 days before I ovulate when it flattens. I usually get a drop too so might be worth bd-ing if you can. A lot of people on this thread od early this month too so don't get caught out like me!!

How many hrs between you getting up to pee and taking temp? You need at least three hours uninterrupted sleep. Things like alcohol etc will impact it too. You are more concerned with your post od temps I think so I wouldn't worry too much if first part of cycle is rocky. It's the sustained rise you are looking for

KittyandTeal · 01/08/2015 08:39

Thanks emu. If I was going to ovulate surely I'd have got a static smilie today. We will dtd tonight anyway.

That might be the problem, I'm up to pee at 4ish then doze and take temp at 6.30. Maybe I need to do it at 4ish when I get up to pee, although this isn't every night annoyingly.

Is 3 hours sleep more important that the same time each day? As in should I just temp as soon as I wake up if I need to pee?

pingoose · 01/08/2015 08:49

kitty I think they're equally important? Maybe you could temp twice and see which time of day is more stable for you?

I've managed to give up caffeine, finally! Figured it was easier to get the headaches over with before conceiving. Now just waiting for a positive OPK. Ovia says I don't usually ov until CD22, so temping and OPKing to see if it's right.

KittyandTeal · 01/08/2015 08:50

Thanks ping, I might give that a go.

birchygoo · 01/08/2015 09:01

I will update stats later

My temp is always to my as well kitty. I have found vag temping much better - the thought totally grossed me out for a while before I done it. It's not actually that bad. I still don't have straight lines though! I also get a dip 3-4 days before ovulation!

So I did a cbfm test this morning bfn - does anyone know how sensitive these are? I can't find that information anywhere.

Lp has always lasted 12/13 days for me. Today I'm 10dpo. But ff saying af due on wed - would that not make a 14 day lp?

I've also just read you should be using a proper basal thermometer, but I've been using a regular one. Does this matter?

KittyandTeal · 01/08/2015 12:45

I've been using a bbt thermometer, it's in Fahrenheit and everything :)

I think as long as it's got 2 decimal places it's ok.

Can I just add: decaf coffee, mmmmm. Not. Alcohol I'll take or leave but I love my coffee :(
