:hugs: carrot, don't feel bad. It's hard on everyone

RalucaMorena · 30/07/2015 10:59

Carrot don't feel bad! You were going through tough times, nobody expected you to feel different! I still cry if I think I should have had my second baby in June. And still feel guilty when my cousin sends me pics of her 4 months twins and I feel like screaming! Sad

Emu123 · 30/07/2015 11:10

You didn't know that at the time Carrot so don't feel bad. And you were going through an incredibly tough time

KittyandTeal · 30/07/2015 12:32

Oh carrot, how awful for you both. Try not to feel bad about it, mc or not other people's pregnancy announcements are hard to hear.

KittyandTeal · 30/07/2015 12:38

In line with the 'getting on with life' movement on this thread. I realised this morning that I had totally forgotten to put in any data (except temp) into my fertility apps yesterday.

Instead of panicking I smiled. My fertility is no longer all consuming and taking over Smile

IrisPurple · 30/07/2015 13:25

Carrot maybe this is an opportunity for you and your friend to support each other through your shared experiences?

Kitty I like your attitude! Smile

Bonkers, does de-caf taste like normal tea? According to NHS.uk we are allowed 2 cups of tea (yay!) or is this part of a health-drive for you?

Got my first reflexology appointment today! Really looking forward to it.

Thisisbonkers · 30/07/2015 13:38

iris, I'm yet to have a really good cup of tea with it but it's drinkable. It's a bit of a health kick for me, gotta start somewhere!

RalucaMorena · 30/07/2015 13:59

I never feel any difference between normal tea and decaf.

birchygoo · 30/07/2015 14:49

carrot please don't feel bad! You did not know this was going to happen. I am sure your friend would feel exactly the same as you did if someone was to announce they were pregnant to her. Its normal to feel like that.

kitty yehh for getting our lives back - I have to say my day has been filled with being obsessed about SW. I did put temps in this morning though and realised I'm only on 8dpo and thought god this is the longest week ever!!

Was thinking of testing on Saturday as I am having friends round and there will be drinks but then I thought about it logically - if it is negative - it is still not telling me I am not pregnant so I still have to make the choice to drink/or not drink based on what may be. I guess it may tell me I am though and then I know not to drink. Af is not due until Wed! ugh Im just not going to think about it again until Saturday.

Hello everyone :) I still havn't OV this month so i think it may be back to my old cycle length of 32 days please can i change my test date to 14th August :)

PallasCat · 30/07/2015 16:08

birchy that's my thinking for the following weekend which could be a big one... if it's a negative I'll still have to make a decision, but if it's a positive (and it'd be early, but might be soon enough to show) - then that would be my decision made for me. I think starting testing earlier when there's a particular situation to bear in mind is definitely not crazy Grin that's what I'm telling myself Grin

CarrotVan · 30/07/2015 16:08

Can someone shoot me? At 3dpo I just poked my boobs to see if they were sore...

birchy as raluca said up thread the alcohol isn't really an issue until there's a shared blood supply so you're fine until 5-6 wks

PallasCat · 30/07/2015 17:03

My Seven Seas has arrived. They're tiny! Finding it quite weird how they're packaged just like the pill. Very disconcerting! Confused

Thisisbonkers · 30/07/2015 18:54

Stop poking your boobs carrot!!

RalucaMorena · 30/07/2015 19:03

Carrot step away from the boobs! Grin Grin Grin

KittyandTeal · 30/07/2015 19:23

I felt the same Pallas. They're good because they're so small but I think I'll finish this pack then try pregnacare

ODog · 30/07/2015 19:47

good luck to those testing in the next few days and sorry for those who didn't get BFPs. Af came today for me, but that's fine and expected since I only had my coil out a week ago. now I'm on a clean slate I really need to up my healthy living and actually buy some pre-pregnancy vitamins. Had loads of issues of getting a bit bunged up by all the iron last time around so any recommendations would be good. I have said it before but well done to those not drinking etc. obvs after. BFP I'll live like a saint but currently feel like last nights yoga and a few cups of lemon and hot water should suffice for now! Plus DH just bought a bottle of tanqueray! Haha!

Banana79 · 30/07/2015 20:17

Yes Pallas! I had the seven seas to start with and loved them because they have the days on them, right? Sooo much easier to remember if you've taken them! I've been wracking my brain to remember with brand they were, so thanks!

PallasCat · 31/07/2015 11:12

They're the ones, banana.

This cycles first flashing smilie this morning. We're into the fun bit of ttc. I'm not looking forward to this tww but I've got lots to distract me so hopefully it'll be ok.

MrsNuckyThompson · 31/07/2015 12:08

Hello all - sorry to those who have been caught by AF, but glad to hear that some people are enjoying NOT being too obsessive too :)

Had a 'high' reading on CBFM this morning, which bodes well since it's the weekend and I might actually get the chance to DtD. However, it is at least a week earlier than I was expecting (had weird 42 days cycle last month vs normal 33 day cycle) so I'm glad I'm tracking it otherwise I might well have missed the window altogether. Have no idea the effect this will have on the LP and when that means my AF should actually be due. Guess will just count 2 weeks from my peak fertility days if / when I get them!

CarrotVan · 31/07/2015 12:12

ODog you could just take an iron free multi vitamin and extra folic acid. I'm quite sensitive to iron - it makes me throw up - but I find pre-natals are ok as long as I take them at night and then don't move for at least an hour. I've just stocked up on more lemon as hot water with lemon helps me reduce my caffeine intake

I didn't like the Seven Seas as I kept starting packs on a day that wasn't in the top left corner and getting confused

Welcome back crunchy have you had a holiday? We're off away mid month

CarrotVan · 31/07/2015 12:14

MrsNucky usually your luteal phase stays the same even if other parts of your cycle change unless you're taking supplements or medication to change it

ODog · 31/07/2015 13:40

That's a good idea Carrot, I will probably try that. I eat quite a varied diet (more so now that DS is fully weaned and eats what I eat) so not too worried other than the folic acid.

I like lemon and hot water as an alternative to tea too. Just a shame it doesn't compliment Cake as well!
