Just bought some 7 Seas trying for a baby.

Lily I'm just trying to be conscious of my choices while TTC rather than eliminating things entirely. I'm sure if you're being aware and conscientious you'd spot anything of concern.

I'm moderating alcohol/caffeine. I've cut out blue cheese, which I do love but it's not like it's a staple of my diet and avoiding it means a massive change in habits erm unlike alcohol?! Just occasionally look a bit glum when OH is eating it!

I have a pretty good diet as it is I think, but seems like a supplement is something positive I can do without any hassle or significant change.

lilygirl81 · 27/07/2015 16:38

I like your thinking PallasCat If it helps, I read that blue cheese is ok if it's cooked (I'm a fellow cheese lover so feel your pain!).

daisylassy · 27/07/2015 17:05

Snap Pallascat I'm doing the same, although missing the blue cheese.
I'm only on the folic acid at the mo... I have considered other things to try and lengthen my cycle as last month was only 21 days but I'm going to see how this month goes before I start taking anything else. That very short cycle might be due to that pesky moon.. Who knows..,

birch you - I got my testing day wrong on the stars sorry it's the 12th of August x

KittyandTeal · 27/07/2015 17:15

I'm taking seven seas trying for a baby too. I might swap to pregnacare soon as I was pregnant a month after starting that with dd1.

I'm being a bit more aware of what I'm eating, lots of fresh and raw fruit and veg etc. although I've been doing that a while as it helps my running too. I'm going for the 'rainbow' type diet.

I've not really cut anything out. I don't really drink but I have cut down to pregnancy levels of caffeine so 2 small coffees a day.

I treat myself to sugary things like muffins or cookies on run days but I'm wondering if I should cut down on refined carbs and sugar. I don't eat a huge amount tbh

PallasCat · 27/07/2015 17:15

Daisy that's the same as me!

PallasCat · 27/07/2015 17:17

Test day, I mean! Though missing blue cheese too Wink

3Princes99 · 27/07/2015 17:21

Good Job with the stats Birchy!
Can I adjust mine to the 6th please with me ovulating early.

Sorry for all af's and Bfn's
And for the Gut Punch Pulpi. I find it so hard not to get upset reading other people's good news too!

????????????????????

Madredear · 27/07/2015 17:40

I applaud you, you ladies make me feel very guilty, because apart from my pregnancy supplements, I've made no changes whilst TTC Shock

I don't drink (well hardly) and I've never touched a fag in my life so I'm safe there.

As for eating, I'm really not a big eater and I don't ever watch what I eat but I do run.

I'm thinking of cutting certain unfriendly pregnancy things out but I'm not sure I want the hassle for something that mightn't happen anytime soon AT ALL Hmm

pulpi · 27/07/2015 17:44

Thanks for the support, ladies! If my temperature goes up above the coverline tomorrow then I'll do a happy pee dance all the way to the toilet, but otherwise my plan is to wait for AF to show up and crack open that bottle of wine. Also whine. The DH, who is wonderfully supportive, is at Tesco buying me chocolate.

And now I'm getting misty thinking about how wonderful my DH is... even if he is a mouth-breather fart machine. Ugh. Hormones.

daisylassy · 27/07/2015 17:59

Eeek Pallascat fx for us both...

3Princes99 · 27/07/2015 18:05

Aww Pulpi, he sounds like a definite keeper Smile

I don't smoke or drink either madre. I have 1 night out once every 2/3 months and have 5/6 shorts, that's it.

I do like my food tho! ????????????????????????????????????

RalucaMorena · 27/07/2015 19:00

I'm on seven seas as well and lay couple of times I got pg I was on pregnacare ttc. Once I waspg before finishing the first box. So I am considering getting his and hers from them again

ODog · 27/07/2015 19:52

Wow, I'm very impressed with you ladies cutting back on certain stuff. I feel like taking pre pregnancy vitamins is pretty good going on its own!

Madredear · 27/07/2015 19:53

My thoughts exactly, ODog! ????

Hello, I'm moving here from the July bus
Name: fruitsaladwhippedcream
Age:27

TTC No:1
Testing on:10ish August

I have two ridiculus ttc questions/musings, 1- can I still go jogging in the 2WW or will that not make it implant? 2- Am I frying my ovaries by always having my laptop on my lap - with a cushin protective layer. Grin

KittyandTeal · 27/07/2015 20:41

Fruitsalad I've wondered the same thing about running. I figure the added blood flow should be good for you.

Re: the laptop I have no idea. I was convinced for a short while that carrying my phone in my hoodie front pocket created dd2s Edwards (stupid and mental I know)

StellaAlpina · 27/07/2015 20:47

Of course it didn't KittyandTeal Flowers

StellaAlpina · 27/07/2015 20:48

bah, im fruitsalad i keep forgetting to namechange back between the 2

KittyandTeal · 27/07/2015 21:04

I know but when you first hear 'it's chance and bad luck' you automatically try to find some reason it happened to you.

I imagine heat etc won't bother your ovaries in the same way it goes testes as they're buried fairly deep in your body

ODog · 27/07/2015 21:05

I'm pretty sure jogging is fine and mobiles are also fine and certainly wouldn't cause any syndromes. FWIW when I spoke to my GP before I was TTC DS he said that you don't need to change anything until you get a positive test, after that you having 9 months of being careful and watching what you do.

KittyandTeal · 27/07/2015 21:21

You're right ODog, I guess all these changes and tracking just gives you a sense of control over something that frustratingly is mainly down to chance (if you are living a fairly healthy lifestyle)

Smile
Vikkijayne2507 · 27/07/2015 21:48

I agree I didn't change anything other than doing opks and temp, I didn't change diet and got preg after 1 month

birchygoo · 27/07/2015 22:24

Stats all updated.

Have we heard from Rebelly, custarddots, Irispurple, Laura103, alwaysinapickle sorry if I have overlooked your posts - but we might have a few more BFP - seems a while since we had any

Banana79 & pulpi are you testing tomorrow?

Im ready for July to be over now! Seems so far away testing in August when it is a different month. Ive just moved my own test date forward until the 5th August. If I dont catch this month then it is onto clomid for me. Am a bit anxious about taking it.

I think I am going to suggest bd tonight as it would be normal time for me to ovulate - just in case my temps are wrong! - it also shortens my 2ww :-)

My GP told me that running wont affect implantation - I was told anything that makes you healthier is only good for pregnancy. I have not been good lately at all. I started out being very good cut all alcohol, but as time as went on and I keep getting BFP I have went back on alcohol except for 2ww. I never drink loads anyway but I think it will help destress me and take away from TTC being the be all and end all of my life. I was getting too down when I didnt get a BFP each month and I had sacrificed so much to get it. I stopped taking my antihistamines, now I take them when I need them. I have cut down on my caffeine intake though. I dont drink tea or coffee but I was a huge Pepsi Max drinker. I have managed to cut it to 1 can a day. I hope to get this down even further. I have also vastly upped my water intake. I think these things are good for me as wel though and not just conceiving - so I am doing it for me mainly and that way I dont feel like Im sacrificing anything. I am also taking seven seas supplements at minute. I bought them as they are cheaper but I am going to go back to pregnacare (sp) as I didnt realise they didnt have vitamin D.

Interesting to read what you're all doing.

I took Seven Seas folic acid only for the first 3 months then switched to Pregnacare today cos it was on offer. Was going to give up on it because it is a faff taking it with evening meal but after reading comments above I'm sticking with it!

Gave up alcohol, but it's getting ridiculous how desperate I get for AF just so I can have a drink! I don't drink a lot but really want one when everyone around me is enjoying wine and gin. If I was actually pg it would feel more meaningful.

I'm cutting out the food as recommended, there's nothing I really miss. Keep discovering new things, like Lemsip! Had 2 sachets before I realised, then worried all the way up to my AF.

Otherwise eat healthily, try to run, but struggle to find the time.

Just wish I could convince my husband to drink less...

3Princes99 · 28/07/2015 01:11

Didn't know you were trying for no.7 Pulpi? Wow that's amazing! I'll be happy at 4 I think Wink what have you got/ages if you don't mind me asking?
