Wow. Sounds like that egg barely got a chance to take stock of its surroundings! They live 12-24 hours and sperm can happily swim around for 5 days so I think you're good Wink

But I heard that the sperm need to be in situ for 12 hours before they can fertilise and hence to DTD before ovulation???
I don't know Confused

PisforPeter As this is your first cycle, try not to over anaylise it, just enjoy dtd and keep your fingers crossed that you get your bfp!!,

andadietcoke · 05/07/2015 14:02

I conceived my DTs the morning after the smiley face on the OPK.

mummypig3 · 05/07/2015 14:03

Yes why didn't you have sex at 6pm Wink

CarrotVan · 05/07/2015 14:07

Your fertile window is from about 5 days before ovulation to 1 day after ovulation - the sperm can be 'deposited' at any point in this period and a decent chance. It's not a military operation!

He he mummypig
DTD again today so have the TWW. Would love a BFP!

How the hell can you tell that you ovulated at 6pm?! Genuinely interested - is there some way to tell?

PisforPeter · 05/07/2015 21:28

I was organising a BBQ at 7 & while prepping the food I had a pain on R side low down which I thought was odd but forgot about it then I had a small bleed later & put 2 & 2 together and thought we had better DTD Wink
