WorldsBiggestGrotbag · 02/07/2015 18:57

Yes, congratulations

What's the chances of a false positive? We've not really been trying but not preventing... I took one a couple of days ago and it was negative

Yes you are

MamaLazarou · 02/07/2015 19:04

I've been researching false positives today (have had a faint BFP, yay!) so can tell you that the only reasons would be:

An out of date test
Reading the result too late
You still have hormones in your system from a previous pregnancy
You are taking fertility drugs

If none of these apply, then CONGRATULATIONS!!! Flowers

Thank you all. I kept looking at the instructions thinking I've done it wrong. My other half isn't convinced lol. I'll take more tests but, I just had a feeling. Thanks again for looking at my pee stick Grin

Any time, love! Good luck for the next tests x

Try a clear blue digital with conception indicator - my OH only believed me after he could actually read the word pregnant on a little screen- £9 but worth it!

Cnmorgan13 · 03/07/2015 10:26

Lol I went to morrisons looking for one but they had none! I got their own brand. Strong positive on that one to.(only one test worked) I believe I am upduffed! Waiting to arrange for midwife appointment

Congrats

BabyBumpHopeful · 04/07/2015 01:54

Your period can't be "due in a week" with that strong a positive. I'd say you got pregnant last week and your last "period" was probably an implantation bleed or break through bleed.

I would take a CB digi test with weeks indicator. It will probably say 2-3 or 3+

Congrats!

BabyBumpHopeful · 04/07/2015 01:58

got pregnant last MONTH that is...

Cnmorgan13 · 04/07/2015 08:24

thanks again for your help. The second test I took the test line was almost as strong as the control line. I'll see if they have the clear blue one. According to the pregnancy app I got, I may be 4 weeks along but I don't think so, I think it's closer to 2. I'm cautiously excited. This is the first time I've been pregnant, probably won't believe it till the first scan lol.

At 2 weeks you wouldn't get a positive pregnancy test (don't forget 2 weeks are automatically added on, it's not counted from actual conception) so 4 weeks sounds more likely.
Congrats!

Cnmorgan13 · 04/07/2015 14:09

Babybumphopfull called it - 2-3 weeks according to clear blue!
