Tentative BFP...

Hi everyone,

I have no idea where I am in my cycle - My first day of last period was 27th May, but my cycles are notoriously crap. I've been tentatively tracking it using Ovia and ovulation tests, and although I wasn't testing every day, I'm almost certain each time me and DP had sex I came up as "negative" for LH.

This was FMU, and I'm sure I saw a very faint line come up before the background cleared, although it seemed to disappear more as time went on - so I'm not sure if this was an evap line that went away or what. I thought I had a very faint yesterday but it was so faint I definitely didn't feel it was anything worth noting, but today's looks clearer.

I'm having some symptoms - but no sore boobs, which was the huge indicator for me when I found out I was 2-3 weeks pg in March (but ended up having to have surgical AB due to complications). My AF hasn't come, and I've been having the cramping and requisite moodiness for a while now.

I know it's a case of testing each morning until either one way or the other, but any experienced TTC'ers advice would be very much appreciated.

Maybe the faintest of faint line on the second pic. Have you got a first response test? I found them to be the best.

I can see a shadow of a line on the second pic too. Fingers crossed for you that it gets darker over the next few days!

First response are brilliant go grab one of those is you think you have a faint line. Often on offer in boots.

The more I look the more I convince myself it's nothing - especially as the quality of the second image is so poor

I just fear disappointment (as I know many TTC'ers do) - first the termination, then the aftermath of emotions since then - I didn't want to get my hopes up unnecessarily because looking back at when we've DTD, each time we did it unprotected it was always with the knowledge my OKT had come back negative. I don't want to mention it to DP because I know it will upset him too if we have "am I/aren't I" situation - hence why I thought posting this would either alleviate or rally my fears ;)

I couldn't get hold of any First Response. We live in a small town and after work Boots had shut. I showed DP the picture and he said I'm imagining it. I took another test which is the same make the one this morning and nada, as well as a left over digital one (CB) I had from when I was pregnant in March which was also nada. I think it's wishful thinking as it should be getting stronger right?

I have about three of those ultra sensitive tests (the one in the picture, 10miu, that the doctor gave me) so I guess just test FMU right? I swear I could see something this morning and even slightly this evening, but nothing enough that my DP could see.

You need to wait a while like a couple days before it gets darker. Pink dye tests are the best so that may be why the clear blue didn't pick it up, what dpo are you?

This is the thing - I have absolutely no idea. Going by 28 day cycle I'd be a week overdue for AF but I have rarely had regular 28 day cycles unless pill induced.

I had to have a surgical AB at the start of April for complications, and since then my one and only period since ended at the start of June.

We have been very casually monitoring ovulation but I got so easily pregnant last time that I have no idea how probable it is this time. We are on our first holiday (or time of work should I say) since February so I want to have a glass of wine but am petrified in case I damage anything that may be happening.

You can try inverting the colours I tried for you but Unfortunately I couldn't find a line :( It's harder to tell on the cardboard type ones as this shows the crease where the fibrous part ends.

I would definitely try a first response type test that's what I did when I got my very faint line could hardly see it and I inverted the colours to see.

Thanks Leopard. Ironically I work in an imaging and content company but I didn't dare ask one of the imaging guys as me and DP work together and would have been office gossip!

I used FMU again this morning and absolutely nothing, not even a shadow. Took a Asda digital one too which was negative also. Lines should be getting darker if anything is there so I reckon it's safe to say it's a resounding BFN

I had BFN for 13 days after period was due and it still hadn't come I used the same kind of test strips then I used a better quality test and it was positive but not sure if it was bad tests or my body as unfortunately Mc at 7 weeks.

I honestly thought my body was tricking me again as it has done before where I've stressed about being pregnant and my Period has been delayed and my body made up all kinds of symptoms.
