I think we'll have to take your word for it! A good thing or a bad thing?

BeautifulLiar · 30/06/2015 12:31

Oops - sorry!

I'm so shocked.

Ironically I've got a doctors appointment in a bit to discuss my terrible PMT!! Should I go anyway and tell him i think im pregnant?! Oh God...

Positive! Congrats :D

BeautifulLiar · 30/06/2015 17:43

Thank you!

The nurse I saw was nice but said I need to see if the pregnancy continues and if it does go back in 5 weeks... put a bit of a downer on things really!

That's not very nice of the nurse, the Dr did say something along the lines of contact us when you get to 7 weeks as we can't do anything till then which basically implied if you make it that far!

Fx this is a sticky bean and congratulations :)

BeautifulLiar · 30/06/2015 22:23

thanks cookielove :)

she said come back when I'm 10-12 weeks so she can contact the midwives to get me booked in Confused

that seems a little late to me! so I'm thinking of going back when I'm about 9 weeks?

Those are very positive.

Any chance of a Clearblue with the weeks indicator?

honeysucklejasmine · 30/06/2015 22:36

Most booking appointments are at 8 weeks.

Congratulations!

Longtalljosie · 30/06/2015 22:44

Quite right - go back at 8 weeks - how on earth would they turn around your 12 week scan in time otherwise? The nurse must have spoken without thinking...

Ooh and congratulations!

Sakura03 · 30/06/2015 23:03

Congratulations Flowers

BeautifulLiar · 01/07/2015 08:26

Thank you, I thought maybe guidelines have changed but surely you need an accurate dating scan, not a late one?!

I told DH, who was very happy and went out and bought a clear blue. it took ages to work (or felt like it) but said pregnant 1-2! I'm so shocked still!

Oh yeah it is so nice being pregnant :)

BeautifulLiar · 01/07/2015 17:19

I do feel very lucky :)

Rang the local clinic today, and they were much more helpful. They're going to give my details to the midwives tomorrow. Here we go again...

Congratulations! When I told my GP he said congratulations, book in with the midwife at 6 weeks and remember that 1/4 pregnancies end in miscarriage. All very matter of fact.

WorldsBiggestGrotbag · 01/07/2015 21:14

Some places to book you in that late, both my booking in appointments have been 10-11 weeks which is their standard policy. Then scan at 12-13 weeks.
Congratulations!!

BeautifulLiar · 02/07/2015 06:47

Thank you :)

I was just surprised because last time I wad pregnant a different doctor said congratulations then referred me to midwives straightaway.

The clinic said to chase them up if I haven't heard anything by the time I'm 8 weeks.

Think this might sink in when th dreaded morning sickness arrives!!

cookielove · 02/07/2015 09:45

Definitely chase my paper work got lost and had a late booking in and almost too late scan as a result Confused

BeautifulLiar · 02/07/2015 12:16

That's a bit poor! I was at the clinic today anyway so gave the receptionist a reminder. Now just have to wait for the midwives to call!

That's if all this is real, that is. I still don't think it is...
