Congratulations kazz!! Don't worry about your test being faint. You've caught it really early so they're bound to be faint but means you're getting the injections early which is exactly what you want.

Those pics are great choccy. How long did the actual scan last? I'm definitely booking one. How many weeks are you today? He looks so cute!

Choccywoccydodah · 31/07/2015 20:21

I've ways taken pregnacare. Shop around though as you can get them 3 for 2 most of the time.
I think I got this lot from Amazon and last lot from the suppliers of pregnacare direct.
Like Louise said though they don't agree with everyone x

Choccywoccydodah · 31/07/2015 20:23

MAS the scan was about 40 mins. Was there about an hour. Drank almost 1l of lucozade before. Time went so quickly!!
Am 27+6 today. Totally worth it xx

MAS7 · 31/07/2015 20:28

What did your DS make of the scan choccy? We told our DS tonight, I'm not sure he really took it in but seemed pleased.

Kazz I've always taken pregnacare too. I get them in boots as they're always 3 for 2 and loads of advantage points too!

Kazz2112 · 31/07/2015 20:30

So to ask loads of questions but what do you mean by not agreeing with you Choccy and Louise?

I'm desperate to ask more questions about the scan but atm I am.not going to atm as I cant even contemplate anything like that atm!

Kazz2112 · 31/07/2015 20:35

Sorry even!

Marchgirl · 31/07/2015 20:39

I've got the boots pregnancy ones. I think they've just got folic acid, b vits and a gram of ginger. They are a bit cheaper than pregnacare from memory. Although I'm also taking folate (most easily absorbed than folic acid)

pregnacare gave me really bad diarrhea I suffer with ibs anyway but they made it 10 times worse. Severn seas are much better for me and I find they have more in them (I think) but it is personal preference. I got s free sample of pregnacare at my 12 week if you want them I think it was a weeks worth ?
I also have a lot of Severn seas trying for a baby if anyone would like them. Xx

LouiseM1987 · 31/07/2015 20:44

Actually I have a box or two of pregnacare if you want them? I'm using the omega 3 I had in them tho x

Kazz2112 · 31/07/2015 20:45

I'll just get one pack tomorrow to give a go as i want to start them straight away but thanks so much for the offer again Louise. You lot are ace! I'll do that rather than buy loads as I sometimes suffer from ibs too. Especially when pregnant (can't grasp that I'm saying that)

Kazz2112 · 31/07/2015 20:47

Crossed messages! I'll let you know when I've given one pack a try! Thank you!!!! :)

LouiseM1987 · 31/07/2015 20:48

Yeah I'd but one pack and see how you get on. If anyone else would like my pregnacare tablets let me no or the trying for a baby ones :) x

LouiseM1987 · 31/07/2015 20:52

Oops crossed messages I'll keep the pregncare ones till next month for u in case Kazz x

Vicki272 · 31/07/2015 22:33

Hey louise if they are still going I'll take the trying for a baby ones... I take those now.

If you don't mind, that would be amazing! Xx

Choccywoccydodah · 01/08/2015 08:43

MAS ds loved it. He watched for a bit then started playing with the building blocks that were in the room lol.
I showed him the video we got with him 4 years ago last night. 'So that was me when I was pip?' Yes sweetheart :) his mind was blown!!

28 weeks today! Hello 3rd trimester GrinGrinGrin

LouiseM1987 · 01/08/2015 09:11

Vicki of course not send me you address in a pm and I'll post them today if I can

Oh choccy that's so cute ! Do I remember you saying he gets to pick the name? Have you decided yet? 3rd trimester eeeeekkk on the home stretch now xx

Vicki272 · 01/08/2015 09:26

Thanks Louise! I have sent it over...

Hugely appreciated... Seems I need all the help I can get ! Smile

Hope everyone has nice things planned for their weekends!

I am off for a well needed girls day with my sisters. Then out for dinner tonight with the OH's friends. Xx

Choccywoccydodah · 01/08/2015 09:33

We've narrowed it down to 2 names at the moment Louise, but I prefer one and dh prefers the other! May have Pip as a middle which is what ds chose (dh thinks it should be Phillip if anything). We wanted John as a middle as both his grandads have John as a middle and ds took dhs middle.

Choccywoccydodah · 01/08/2015 09:34

Vicki a day with the girls sounds bliss to me!!
We're swing some friends (ds godparents) this aft/eve (child free Grin) and off to some other friends tomorrow but still not heard from them yet Hmm

Vicki272 · 01/08/2015 10:19

I tell you choccy... It is well needed! Had a crap week at work... Several pregnancy announcements and a birth so something to get my mind off it all will be great!!

How you feeling today kazz? Has it all sunk in yet? Grin so pleased for you! Xx

Kazz2112 · 01/08/2015 10:35

It all feels a bit weird. Pee'd on a cb hpt this morning just out of interest and it's now clearly visible if still faint.

Just been to the gym - I was terrified going but did lots of research last night that said exercise is very beneficial to pregnancy and does not cause miscarriages - unless you're doing karate and get kicked in the stomach etc! Just stepped it down a bit. Main concern was my boobs really hurt!

DH went out last night on a work night out. Came in absolutely leathered and I found our he's told 3 of his closest work colleagues. I understand why he has as they're female (I'm close to them to but didn't go out for obvious reasons) and have provided him with a lot of support which he's going to need especially over the next couple of months. When he got in bed he said 'what do you think it'll be? twins? girl? boy?'. I just said at this stage I'm not thinking past our next appointment on monday.

Feeling nervous about my next injection. Think adrenaline got me through yesterday but now I'm on my own! going to push it back 2hours to 3pm and then 5pm tomorrow and 7pm on Monday.

Indiedog · 01/08/2015 12:12

Ah Kazz, it's such a roller coaster, before BFP and now!!!

I didn't mind doing the injections, but kept forgetting which side I had done, so when I wrote the time on the sheet I would put a L or R to indicate which side I did! Sounds daft, but easy to forget.
Also I found if the syringe was really chilly it stung a little more, so I would hold it in my hand whilst I went upstairs to do it, just so it warmed ever so slightly. It's only slight though, and any sting soon stops, so don't panic.
I took it appointment by appointment, then week by week!
That's all you can do.
Xx

Kazz2112 · 01/08/2015 12:44

That's definitely my plan. It feels surreal. when I go back to work I'll be 9 weeks pregnant I'd I get that far which is 2 weeks further than ever before. Or I'll have another mc under my belt. The prospect is terrifying. I can't envisage either!

Marchgirl · 01/08/2015 12:56

How you doing today claire? A few days respite before the relentless testing. When did you say you were starting it?

OP posts:
Kazz2112 · 01/08/2015 15:43

Totally crossing my fingers for you this month Claire.

Has anyone had any symptoms with the injections that may indicate they're on the drug / placebo?
