Genwah85 · 30/07/2015 13:12

I was crying my eyes out waiting to go in, but they where so good with me defo put my mind at ease at least for a day or 2 until I'm counting down days for next scan! When is your next scan march x

Vicki272 · 30/07/2015 14:58

Wow lots of good news on here today! loving the scan pics ladies...

Kazz - sorry on the BFN... i still have my fingers crossed!

Brummie - so glad things are a bit better and well done for waiting.

Sorry if i missed anyone. xx

Marchgirl · 30/07/2015 17:05

Sorry for the bfn kazz. Still holding out hope. Esp as you said you normally don't get a positive til the day af is due.

Not booked my next scan yet gen. I should get one at 8wks but trying to decide whether to stretch it til 9 so I've not got such a long wait until the 12 week one. Seems perfectly reasonable in my head to do that now but i know when i get to 8 weeks I'll be tearing my hair out again. Maybe i should just book for 8 and get a private one at 10

march I stompsd my feet a bit and got a 10 week scan. My first pregnancy ended at 12 weeks but had only grown to 8+5, so the team agreed to book me in for an extra as I was super anxious.
So pleased for you today ????

Marchgirl · 30/07/2015 18:23

That's good to know size. Did you book it at your 8 week one or did you book them both together?

I think I just did it 2 weeks in advance at a time as I hated planning ahead. But I was pretty persistant at needing the 20 week one. As it's only in Scotland that they skip that one.
I contacted my trial nurse today with a question about the trial. Any of you lovely lot have any thoughts on my query too that would be good. I'm also off to visut a friend who's avdoctir so I'll ask her opinion too.
So the theory of the drug working is that it helps to suppress the immune system allowing more effective implantation and stopping the body rejecting the embryo as a foreign invader.
I know my body will have been clear of the drug (or placebo) since week 12, but I'm due my whooping cough vaccine and suddenly got a bit concerned that my body may fight this vaccine and I'll go into preterm labour. If autoimmunity is linked to recurrent miscarriage.
I very much want the vaccine as it's important (I'll also need the flu vaccine as I'm asthmatic) but just wanted to find out if there's any link with it and recurrent miscarriage.
It's just made my brain go into SuperDrive.

Choccywoccydodah · 30/07/2015 20:01

I'm not going to book mine on until nearer 32 weeks size. I was told 28-32 weeks was fine. I'm sure all will be ok but I totally understand your thoughts.
I didn't realise they skipped the 20 weeks scan in Scotland!! That's shocking!! It's the most important one!

In Coventry we got a 10 week scan March, they like to scan you just to make sure as its a long wait from 8 to 12.

Marchgirl · 30/07/2015 22:00

Of course, i forget you were on the response trial size. I'm not sure the psc will agree to see me more than once for a reassurance scan. I had a 20 week scan up here with my dd, and 2 friends here just had theirs. Definitely never heard of them skipping that. Maybe it's something to do with the trial?

Oh sorry, I mustve typoed, I meant skipped the 10 week scan on the the trial (they did 6, 8, 12 up here for the Response - no real explanation to not doing it at 10 weeks).
Yes, we do have the 20 week anomaly scan, sorry for confusion!
Good suggestion Choccy with the vaccine at 32 weeks. I'd feel much more comfortable having it nearer term.

Kazz2112 · 31/07/2015 07:34

Omg omg omg... soooooo....this morning I poas (Clearblue) and could swear I could see a shadow. So I poa first response stick and this is what I got... the bottom / right hand one is this mornings. The left from a few days ago. But there's absolutely definitely a line there!

Now panicking! What do I do? It's barely visible unless your really really really screwing up your face! Do I go in today? Arrange to go in tomorrow? Proper freaking out now!

Congratulations kaz Grin. I'd phone them and see what they say. Probably tomorrow as they need to see it on their test and the frer are a lot more sensitive so might not see it on that one yet.
