Vicki Coventry put a bid in to be a tommys centre and when they came to look around they wanted to meet some patients so me choccy and MAS went just to talk of our experiences and how Coventry have helped. Hopefully they get it !

Has anyone else get a ridiculously itchy tummy I'm 16 +1 today and my whole
Tummy is just itchy x

LouiseM1987 · 21/07/2015 20:45

Does not has sorry

MAS7 · 21/07/2015 21:14

Hi Louise, I remember... There was so much I wanted to say but it was too emotional! If only we could have all had a large glass of wine!

Vicki272 · 21/07/2015 21:25

Oh I see... That makes sense! Smile xx

MAS7 · 21/07/2015 21:36

About the itchy tummy I had this when pregnant with my now 3 year old son. Mine started about the same time, I think it's just your skin stretching. Could be time to get some bio-oil.

Marchgirl · 22/07/2015 06:27

Sorry af came vicki, hoping for bfps for you all this cycle.

Good luck with the ov testing for tomorrow claire

When are you starting the testing kaz? Did you decide before or after wedding?

I missed a few posts. Welcome mas, lovely to hear another good news story from the trial.

louise, i had extreme itching with dd. As mas says, it can be just stretching of the skin, but mine was puppp (something like pruritic plaques and pustules of pregnancy). It looks a bit like hives, you'll find pics on the internet. Although not bad at all for mother or baby, it was absolutely horrible and went on from the last 10 weeks of pg right through to a few months after birth. I really hope for your sake it's not that!

Hi MAS!!!!!! (Waves) yes it was me, like Louise failed to get my first sentence out before breaking down into tears! Unfortunately my dh couldn't come and do the talking Sad
So glad we have the team in Cov, praying they get the Tommys thing they so deserve it!!

Louise I'm always bloody itchy!! Mainly my belly, but also my arms and legs, drives me nuts and I have to scratch with a hairbrush sometimes!!

Vicki so sorry about af, ffs why can't this just be as easy as they taught us in school?? Hmm

Claire good luck for tomorrow (did the parcel arrive yet? I sent it last thurs or fri-can't remember which lol!) x

Choccywoccydodah · 22/07/2015 08:51

Oh forgot to say, we got our new caravan yesterday. We are now officially caravan wankers!!!! We haven't a clue, I've always loved my holidays in the sun, but when your almost 4 year old on our last holiday as a 3 back in June says within 3 days of a 2 week hol that he's bored, kinda seems not worth the effort!!

clairemorgan81 · 22/07/2015 08:57

a parcel came yesterday choccy but we were at work so it's at post office I will collect it later, thanks again.

ooh enjoy your caravan how times change eh!!, ds will love it and there's such lovely places to go xx

philippa88 · 22/07/2015 10:12

Hahahaha caravan wanker!!! That amused me more than it should have lol!
I think once you've got a caravan you most definitely are a grown up lol... It's like a rite of passage! Be lush to be able to just pitch up anywhere :D

Times dragging for me, anyone else feel like that? 16 days till the private scan and it's like a lifetime!! Xx

Marchgirl · 22/07/2015 10:53

Like wading through treacle philippa. 9 days til my first scan. Feels like a lifetime.

Grin on the caravan choccy. We were in a campervan for 3+weeks on our honeymoon and it was brilliant!! Beats camping hands down for me (I'm a bit of a wimp)

Choccywoccydodah · 22/07/2015 12:11

I think time does drag early on Philippa as you just want to know all is ok!!
Wading in treacle March Grin love that!!
Have to go get bloods done for 28 week appt next Monday, book in whooping cough for that or following week, 4d scan next Friday followed by MW appt that afternoon and bloods results, then growth scan following Monday, all bloody go here!
Trying to fit in time to strip our lounge which is being plastered either next week or the middle of the month!

Vicki272 · 22/07/2015 12:20

Oooo - Love a caravanning holiday!!! Especially when i was a kid, choccy ds will love it! My oh's parents have a static in Norfolk - we quite often go on a weekend, forces you to slow down which is nice - it is easy always to find jobs to do at home! we are deciding when to tackle decorating the kitchen as it is the last bit of downstairs left - then the garden is next! followed by upstairs (sort of holding out for a nursery on that one - as sad as that may be!)...

I know - at school i always thought it was a open your legs at the wrong time and there you were - bang! up the duff!! What lies - if only ey???

choccy and MAS are we all Cov ladies then? Do you both live there? I am northampton really but chose there as was closest! x

clairemorgan81 · 22/07/2015 12:34

March not too long to go now for you, every day is an age at this point but you will get there lovely.

have finally got a referral to gynaecologist through gp for this bleeding before af and gp said the fact I also haven't conceived this year. it's not until Sept but so pleased.x

Choccywoccydodah · 22/07/2015 12:51

Great news Claire hopefully you'll finally have some answers!!

Vicki I'm not far from Coventry in Rugby, Louise is also under Cov :)

Marchgirl · 22/07/2015 12:55

That's great news claire! I really hope they will run some tests for you to put your mind at rest. And in the meantime, maybe this will invoke sods law and you'll get pg Wink

clairemorgan81 · 22/07/2015 12:59

Haha you never know March.Smile

just hoping they can get to the bottom of it, 6 wks away though but still at least I have an appointment x

Vicki272 · 22/07/2015 12:59

That's really good news claire fingers crossed as march says it will be just typical that you will fall before!

We had a specialist appointment last month - i think the standard waiting time is 6 weeks or so anyway!

Sorry Louise missed you on the Cov mention!! Smile xx

MAS7 · 22/07/2015 13:05

Sounds like a lot of us are Cov ladies. I'm from Nuneaton so GEH is my local hospital but they were useless so Coventry was the next choice when I finally persuaded my GP to refer me, so lucky to have Prof Q and her team on our doorstep.

The first scan feels like a lifetime away I know but there is no point going for it any earlier (that's how I kept myself calm in the wait anyway!) hope it comes round quickly for you March, just 9 more days of growing before your scan.

My 20wk scan is next weds which also feels like a lifetime! Last night baby was having a disco and now nothing all day so panicking a bit as usual!! If it doesn't move today I can see myself taking a trip to Cov for a go on L and D's doppler. I've done that a few times now and they haven't lost patience with me yet! Too nice for words bless them.

LouiseM1987 · 22/07/2015 13:48

March I bet it feel like a life time away 9 days but when it's the day you will
Be shocked how quickly it turns up !

Choccy I used to go caravaning with my family every year and they are all leaving me to go to France :(

MAS I haven't had a go on their doopler yet but I had my 16 midwife appt yesterday and heard it then :)
Claire I'm glad you've been rendered it's about time too ! Xx

Choccywoccydodah · 22/07/2015 14:57

I've got a Doppler from when I had ds, mws don't really like you having them at home in case you get the wrong thing lol. But my mum 'taught' me as such as she's a retired mw. I used to listen to the placenta all the time before I knew what was the proper HB Grin
It's nice to have a bit of reassurance x

clairemorgan81 · 22/07/2015 15:45

I'm doing a cleanse at moment which involves drinking at least 8 pints of water a day, will this effect ov tests? I presume so?x

clairemorgan81 · 22/07/2015 15:46

mas any movement yet? you do whatever you need to get reassurance. it a great the ladies are so good and will do that for you xx

Choccywoccydodah · 22/07/2015 19:13

MAS forgot to say re movement, I know you've got a bump in the way, but when I wanted a bit of movement I used to lie on my belly, guaranteed a bit of movement. Found out I have an anterior placenta so I don't get asich as j did with ds x
