*as much as I did

MAS7 · 22/07/2015 22:24

It's great to hear it isn't it Louise!

Thanks Claire and choccy. I think I might have had a few slight movements tonight, nothing definite and wondering if it's just wishful thinking. When will it ever get easier?!

Kazz2112 · 23/07/2015 05:55

ugh. woken up this morning (early pt session) and I have a horrible dull period pain like pain. I'm. nowhere near AF as on got my smiley (albeit second smiley) on Sunday. Any ideas?

Marchgirl · 23/07/2015 06:31

Could be implantation kaz? I found i got both stabby ovary pain and general heavy/achy feeling. Fingers crossed it's not af already!

Fingers crossed for you kazz x

MAS7 · 23/07/2015 06:55

Fingers crossed it's implantation kaz.

Kazz2112 · 23/07/2015 07:18

AF has never ever come more than a day early and wouldn't expect it for another 10 days so doubt it although an early AF would mean next cycle isn't cancelled out by holiday dates! Being ever the optimist I hope it is implantation and second choice would be an early AF.

clairemorgan81 · 23/07/2015 07:35

fingers crossed for you kazz it's not your norm so that's a good sign.

sorry I asked this yesterday does drinking loads of water (only recommended amount but its a lot for me) effect ov test results?x

Indiedog · 23/07/2015 07:51

Hello everybody. Been a bit quiet as I've had lots going on, I've tried to catch up.

Hi Mas, you are near me in stage, I am 20 +1 today. As for baby movements, mine have only really been obvious in the last week and half or so. When I say obvious it's still only rumbling, bubbling knocking feelings, but it really does add to the reassurance. The funny thing is he seems to be active at about 9pm onwards for about an hour. Do you know what your having yet, or will you find out, or keep it a surprise?

Kaz, fingers tightly crossed for implantation.

I hope everyone else is ok, I am really rubbish at remembering everything. I would literally have to respond after every post to remember it all, doh!

But I do remember Caravan Wanker, that's hilarious Choccy! I want to be one. Daughter and I are going to Butlins I a couple weeks, hubby will be doing DIY. Girlie weekend, whilst it's just her.

Had a tough day yesterday. It was our pre schools last day, so my little school leavers had bought me presents and cards, grown up so quick, didn't cry though!
Also two mums bought me (well bump) some presents!!! This made me cry!! Was really hard, as I STILL haven't allowed myself to think about buying yet, as it kinda makes it seem like I'm accepting that baby will be ok!
And pre school got me some leaving flowers and a £25 mother care voucher as I am not going back in Sept. So on went the water works again.

My husband also nearly made me cry the other day, not in a horrible way.
I asked him again, if he had even just one name. His response was, 'no, as wont it make it even more heartbreaking if something does go wrong'! Omg, I wanted to cry, he doesn't talk about things, but clearly he is still worried, which I never knew. I wish he had told me, and I wish I had not pestered him for names. I said I'm so sorry.
So now I know we both kinda have our own little shield up, still, at this stage we are treading carefully.

Now with the low lying placenta, I need to be careful and watchful for bleeding. At least I won't be lifting any big preschool lunch table round anymore.

Bug waves and hugs to all xxx

Indiedog · 23/07/2015 08:16

As for dry, itchy skin. I recommend Aveeno. I bought a three pack from Costco. It is amazing. Pa little odd smell when you put it on, but that disappears right away, but it leaves your skin super soft.
I'm using it on my tummy too, try to prevent any more stretch marks, got enough from last time. Xx

Marchgirl · 23/07/2015 09:43

Replied earlier bit it doesn't seem to have posted claire. Yes, drinking lots of water will potentially affect the tests. The fmu one should still be fine as you'll have had overnight to make your wee stronger, but it's possible any afternoon ones might not show a surge. It really depends how strong your surge is i think. If you have a strong surge normally then i think you'd probably still see it in the afternoons. Some people have quite weak surges and if you're one of them, i'd rely on the morning one. It's not going to show a false positive, only a false negative, so a surge is a surge.

Ooooo aveeno I forgot about that! I've got some bath stuff as bought it when ds had chicken pox, bloody AMAZING for his pox, cleared up within 5 days and he didnt scratch at all!!

Fingers crossed for good news Kazz!! I'd have done a test this morning Shock but I am so not encouraging that obviously Grin

Kazz2112 · 23/07/2015 10:20

I'm gonna do a first response tomorrow morning. I only have one! Then wait till next week! Dont want to be worrying about getting seen st the hospital etc at my sisters wedding.

clairemorgan81 · 23/07/2015 10:57

good luck kazz

I thought it might effect test March, damn it. I always test around teatime hope I don't miss it x

philippa88 · 23/07/2015 11:27

Good luck kazz! Fingers crossed!!

I'm feeling really down today :(
I just feel like as much as I'm blessed to be pregnant, time is going so slowly that I'm not enjoying it!! My friend at work is due and her baby's head is engaged - baby should be here in a few days! But then I can't help but be jealous because I'm only nearly 14 weeks - reaching 40 weeks seems a lifetime away.
I feel horrible as I'm so lucky and happy to be pregnant but I just wish I could at least feel baby move as my only symptom atm is tiredness! Sorry for the rant :( xx

Marchgirl · 23/07/2015 11:30

It's still worth trying. Or you could do the water thing for the rest of the day and just not drink for a few hours before the test. I normally catch some wee and see how dark it is. If it's too watery I wee, don't drink and try again a couple of hours later. Have often thought to myself that it's actually not good for me doing the ov testing, as i was always so thirsty leading up to the pm test trying not to drink too much!

Don't worry about ranting philippa, that's what we're here for. Time does slow down at the start, but I've heard a lot of people say it speeds up after 20wks. I'm really hoping so. And if you look back now, although time felt slow as it was happening, it really doesn't seem that long ago that you got your bfp! Try and keep busy, plan some distractions like weekends away or days out, things to look forward to, so you can tick off the time.

Good luck with the testing kazz Confused

philippa88 · 23/07/2015 11:55

Thanks march :) I just don't want to sound ungrateful since I'm complaining but am lucky to be pregnant!

I've got busy weekends planned but day to day I literally think about being pregnant and how I long to feel baby! I had it in my head that you can feel your first baby from 16 weeks onwards, but then most people I've asked have said more like 18-20!! Once I can feel baby or see an obvious bump, I think time will speed up but atm it's just going so very slowly!! When did you pregnant ladies on here first feel flutters?? Xx

clairemorgan81 · 23/07/2015 18:53

does anyone else get slippery discharge down below but negative opk (not expecting ov for 4 days)x

clairemorgan81 · 23/07/2015 19:12

with my ds I first felt him move the week of my 20wk scan philippa. just try and enjoy your pregnancy lovely it will fly by and before you know it you 'll have your beautiful baby xx

Kazz2112 · 23/07/2015 19:30

Already starting to fret about starting the pregnancy testing. I keep trying to symptom spot and I need to stop it. I felt sick earlier (I was absolutely starving), I was craving sugar (I've been sticking to a nutrition plan so haven't had sugar for days), I'm exhausted (I've was up at 5.45am to go to the gym and have been running round all day). I really truly f*ing hate this!

Kazz2112 · 23/07/2015 19:33

And I ordered some more first response tests online earlier and there were some 'joke' positive pregnancy tests! Oh yeah - absolutely hilarious!!!

Vicki272 · 23/07/2015 19:48

That's horrendous kazz but i know exactly how you feel! That's what I was like last month!! Had utterly convinced myself that I was... Of course that wasn't the case at all! Sad

People are so insensitive with their "jokes"... You just have to try and keep your chin up and fingers crossed... We all have these patches (I'm sure of it... If not am totally losing by blummin marbles!!!! ) xx

Kazz2112 · 23/07/2015 20:11

I'm convinced I'm not but still really hoping because if I don't succeed this month the pressure is going to become unbearable! Sad

MAS7 · 23/07/2015 20:18

Hi Indie. I'm 20 weeks exactly today. Which hospital are you at? I ended up going to see my research midwife today just to check the heartbeat... Baby is perfectly happy just tucked in a position that I wasn't feeling it move so much. Our scan is next weds and can't wait to find out what it is! How about you?

Phillipa, I felt my first son just over 16 weeks... He's 3 now! Women are very different on when they feel first baby move so you might feel it soon. Hopefully you won't be like me and go into a blind panic every time they have a quiet day. The worry doesn't seem to stop for me... It just changes!
