I'd say it's a smiley and the wee from the no smiley was probably more dilute. When was the ic done? It looks negative but they take about 10 mins to develop. Either way, dtd!

OP posts:
Kazz2112 · 15/07/2015 07:11

The non smiley (new digitest) was the same urine as the 1st smiley (old digitest from 1st or 2nd month).

3rd smiley was also on new test.

The ic had only been done about a minute before the photo.

Anyway we're now covered for today. Dtd Sunday (possibly 2x - can't remember! ) Genwah did you have a similar situation with your surprise smiley?

philippa88 · 15/07/2015 07:12

Kaz i think you'll just have to hump and hope!! I would go with the smiley as surely it can't be wrong.

Regarding the last injections I'll ring the trial nurse later and see what she says - seems everyone has been told slightly different! Xx

Kazz2112 · 15/07/2015 07:25

I'm going to have to keep testing. I normally dibt get a smiley till cd14 or 16. I'm cd 11 today.

A thought has just struck me... twins run in my family. is it possible to ovulate twice in a month??? Asks the science teacher with a biology degree! Hmm Hmm Hmm Hmm

Marchgirl · 15/07/2015 07:40

Yes, it is possible, either from the same or different ovaries I think. You never know. Either way, just keep dtd and you'll be covered.

How are you today claire? Any sign of real af?

OP posts:
clairemorgan81 · 15/07/2015 08:13

yes af arrived yesterday March it a extremely heavy and painful this month.

how are you today lovely x

Marchgirl · 15/07/2015 08:22

Sorry it's such a horrible one claire. Hopefully it'll give you a good clear out and clear the way for a good cycle this month.

I'm ok. Totally convinced myself in the night that it was all over. All symptoms are gone (although the lack of sleep had made me feel a bit nauseous, which is stupidly making me feel better). Just a waiting game. And I hate waiting!

OP posts:
clairemorgan81 · 15/07/2015 08:29

ahh March its so awful waiting. I can totally understand how it must be making you feel. try not to think too much into symptoms as you are really early on and if it's any constellation I had no symptoms with any of my pregnancies including ds. easier said I know. tiny steps and a day at a time. hand holding if you need x

Genwah85 · 15/07/2015 09:33

Hey Kaz, yea I had a smiley at 7am on cd10 I tested 9pm that night and no smiley then I got one every morning after for 4 days, we dtd cd9 then not till cd13 then every other day for a weekish! Good luck Kaz get at it lol!

Got my 6 week scan tommorow and I'm petrified :(

Marchgirl · 15/07/2015 12:57

Good luck for your scan gen. It's a big milestone to get past x

LouiseM1987 · 15/07/2015 13:08

Kazz I can't help I'm afraid I only did the ovulation kits from the trial i didn't want to go down the route of the ic so don't no what I'm looking at there. Sorry !

Claire sorry af came :(

March I still have everything crossed I too hate waiting !

Gen good luck for tomorrow what times your scan ?
Xx

clairemorgan81 · 15/07/2015 13:19

good luck for tomorrow genwah and any other scans or apps this week I'm useless with keeping up with you all Smile

March have you rang and booked your app?x

Genwah85 · 15/07/2015 13:23

Scans at 1230 so not too long to wait....although I'm sure it will drag! My first mc I had a scan at 6w3d and a heartbeat was seen 2 weeks later still measuring the same and no heartbeat I don't think I'll relax until I get much much further on (or if I get much further on) I just wish I had more symptoms, would defo make me feel better!

clairemorgan81 · 15/07/2015 15:15

any of you ladies know why I would have a heavy/painful and very clotty af? it's so different this month seems much worse than usual Sad x

clairemorgan81 · 15/07/2015 15:26

does a chemical pregnancy always have a positive test?x

Marchgirl · 15/07/2015 16:11

Hi claire, I would say a chemical would not necessarily show up with the crap tests we got from the trial if it was an early one. I didn't get a positive on those til 12 dpo this time (and then very faint), and with the last two chemicals before that i never turned those tests or an ic. If you are testing with frer it should pick any hcg up as the sensitivity is much better (6.2 i believe), but the trial tests i think claim to be 20 but I'd say they are more like 25 to 50. So it's absolutely a possibility. I don't know whether to be happy that you might have conceived or dreadfully sad that it might have been a bean that mc'd. Probably both. Sad

OP posts:
clairemorgan81 · 15/07/2015 16:27

it may not be that just was wondering with it being so clotty. I've done the trial tests and obv they have all been negative. I guess I 'll not know unless next month I'm all messed up? wonder what else could cause it x

Marchgirl · 15/07/2015 17:52

I was perfectly normal the cycle after both chemicals, so yes, unfortunately you might never know Sad. It could definitely be an explanation for the clottiness. I'm not sure about other potential causes I'm afraid.
It's hard to take the positives from what is an all round shit situation, but hopefully if it was that, it means your egg was fertilised and travelled into the uterus and started to implant. And if it's done it last month it can do it again (and stick) x

OP posts:
clairemorgan81 · 15/07/2015 18:02

I would rather not know as would be devastated if I had another loss. i would honestly rather not conceive than have another mc. I know there's a strong possibility I will again but honestly I don't think I could cope. if it's lighter tomorrow I won't be so inclined to think that? but then again i guess that doesn't matter. I don't have any frer or ic. I have some cheap ov tests they pick up hcg don't they? I hate worrying i might be a chemical x

Kazz2112 · 15/07/2015 19:21

Really sorry you're having such a worry Claire. Not what you need. I know nothing about chemical pregnancy so can't help but hope things settle for you.

Genwah wishing you massive luck for tomorrow. hope you get some reassurance from the scan!

I've had a non smiley tonight. wondering wtf is going on! I think I'm. going to have to just keep testing and face that I'm going to have to buy some more cb ovulation sticks to stick in my digital thingy because I'm on my last set.

Had a very weird day today! Actually forgot a class I should've been teaching! That's only ever happened once in my training year 10 years ago! and ive been teaching the same timetable for a year! Part of me wants to read into it... emotional meltdown last night, totally ditzy day... had the same when I had conceived during pg 2 but I know I'm just being ridiculous!

Choccywoccydodah · 15/07/2015 19:24

Kazz throw the old holder away. They remember the last test you did so if its stronger it may show a smiley, but if it's weaker it'll show a circle. Eg if you got a smiley last time you used it, and your lh is lower (even though positive) it will show a circle rather than a smiley. Does that make any sense at all???

Claire, so sorry you're having an awful af. Try not to worry tooich about the clots. Most of my losses I didn't have clots, and some cycles we didn't try I did.

March still got everything crossed for you sweetie.

Gen hope all goes well at the scan!!!

Philippa I was told to never do an injection when I had an appt as it could interfere with the bloods. I had 2 injections left at my last appt and straight after my scan I took the last injection out of that packet as it was pointless them giving me more (I had about 10 mins!) but like it's been said, it'd have little effect now anyway. Exciting times xx
