Period a week late but awful abdo pain..

Any ideas as to whether this is my body just preparing for the mother of all periods...?
I was due on Sunday/Monday.. But nil has happened. Instead I've had cramping, back pain and sore boobs on and off for roughly 10 days. Spotting on and off for nearly a week.
Woke up this morning with same old brown spotting but agonising period pains.
I have endometriosis so am used to having super painful periods, but I usually have the period that accompanies them!!
The back ache and cramping is mega today :(

I should probably also say that the pregnancy test I did Tuesday was a BFN.

I'd test again. If it's a negative, I'd say that'll be a heavy flow my lovely.

Ok so update.
I was due on 9 days ago. For 2 weeks now I've had cramping and back pain. For the last 10 days now I've had brown spotting on and off.. Some days not needing a tampon/pad.
I woke Sunday, so a week late - to find I had flooded the tampon I was wearing.. This lasted Sunday and stopped abruptly Sunday night. Nothing yesterday but brown spotting again today, but only when I wipe?

I'm still getting twinges in, what feels like, both my ovaries.. But the back ache has eased.

Any ideas? :(

Have you tested again? If it was me I'd be fretting about it being an ectopic pregnancy (and if it is you need to get seen pronto). A doc appointment might be worthwhile anyway, or at least a chat with the pharmacist.

Yeah, that's helpful advice from me at bedtime! Sorry to be no help! It's probably nothing, but if you get it checked out you'll be sure at least. Ugh!

Do you think though, with an ectopic, it would get worse...??
Mine was awful Friday/Saturday, heavy bleed for about 8 hours Sunday and it's now calmed, with just the odd little twinges?

That's a good point, you'd think it would get worse not better. I don't have the medical knowledge to say anything of any use though. Bodies are so odd!
Maybe it was a super super early miscarriage which never quite got itself together. Ouf, poor you in any case!
