September Barking! Shock Not acceptable. Can you try Tiger's trick of asking to be considered for cancellations? It might work.

lucieloos · 29/06/2015 19:23

Barking, sorry the wait is so longer. I know how frustrating and hard it is waiting all the time when you just want to get started straight away. I really hope a cancellation comes up for you. Good news on the nk cells though at least that's another thing ticked off the list.

Wild, I agree I have little faith in my current doctor anymore. I found out today that somebody who I cycled with at the same time and who was with a different doctor at the same clinic was told to start her cetrotide on day 8 when her largest follicle was 14mm on day 7. On both of my cycles my largest follicles has been 17mm on first cycle and 16mm on second cycle on day 7 and yet I'm made to wait until day 9 to start it which was way too late. The other lady got her bfp. I'm so angry at the moment. I just feel like we have wasted thousands of pounds. I'm going to give it one more try there and I have emailed her my list of demands today. If she says no I will swap doctors. After that I'm going to change to Gennet in Prague. I have my consultation booked in for the beginning of August and I can start anytime after that. Good luck with your test in the morning will be checking back hoping to hear the good news.

Smidge, keeping my fingers crossed that everything works out for you too

happylass · 29/06/2015 20:26

Barking I know I've already replied on FB but I bet the delay is because the consultant is off on hols. This happened to us last year. Our consultant was off for a whole month which, considering the FC was only available 1 morning a week, created a huge backlog. I'm not saying they shouldn't have hols but there should be someone to cover!
Can I ask Lucie or anyone else who ordered DHEA from the States how long it took to arrive? Hopefully we'll be starting treatment in less than 8 weeks and it won't really be worth taking it if it doesn't arrive soon. Also is it ok to take alongside CO Q10? And how long before ET should I stop? As you may be able to tell I'm slightly nervous about taking this Hmm

Spot on happy, and he doesn't get back until the end of August Sad.

barkingtreefrog · 29/06/2015 20:36

All of you who have had FETs - did you do natural or medicated, and if medicated what did you have?

lucieloos · 29/06/2015 20:51

Happy, I felt the same about taking Dhea but I've had no side effects from it at all and I had more follicles on this second treatment than my first. It seems to have kick started my left ovary as I only used to have 2 follicles on there but had 5 this time, of course it could be nothing to do with the dhea but I like to think it's helping. I ordered from the U.S. and I meant to pay extra for the fast delivery but didn't click the right button so end up with standard which it said was something like 3 weeks and I was panicking as needed to get started on them straight away. I was pleasantly surprised though and think they turned up within 7-10 days. I had a tracking number so I could check their progress. I take mine alongside co enzyme.

happylass · 29/06/2015 21:07

Thanks for the reply Lucie. I've just checked the tracking and apparently it went to Poland by mistake (obviously Pontypridd sounds like it could be in Poland Confused) but it's now in the UK so hopefully I'll get it soon. I have the same issue with a lazy left ovary so maybe it'll help with that. Though I took Aspirin with my second cycle and ended up with more eggs than the first time but a lower fertilisation rate so a little worried about the quality over quantity issue but seen as we've had no luck so far I guess it can't hurt.

Oh smidge I'm so sorry. Life is so hard sometimes.

Happy, glad your pills have made it to the UK. Can't believe they sent them to Poland! Hopefully they will be with you soon xx

WildflowerMarmalade · 29/06/2015 22:24

Noooo!! Why, Smidge, why? Totally out of order from the Gods on Mount Olympus. Bastards.

tigerdog · 29/06/2015 22:44

So sorry smidge. I'm sad that this wasn't your bfp. Flowers Wine

barking that's so annoying. I can't stand the delays and so much being out of our control. I'm waiting around for results and referrals to be made and I hate it. Can't plan ahead and no idea what the timeline for our next cycle will be. Grrr on your behalf. I agree with wild on the diet front - balanced diet is key and going from healthy to super healthy is unlikely to change much. I only do wheat free because I come from a family of Coeliacs. I am terrible though with trying to be uber

lucie your experience sounds soo frustrating. I can see why changing clinics might be a plan. Every step is one closer to the end goal though.

Eveything tightly crossed and my best moves out for you wild. Will be thinking of you.

I also had a lazy left ovary lucie and happy. Interesting about the dhea. My acu lady said she didn't think I needed dhea though so I've avoided it. At the moment I'm taking vitex and virak in drop form. Hopefully they might sort my heavy periods out. Not sure if it's linked by my skin looks much better! Have ditched the chocolate -chocolate covered rice cakes don't count-- and have been doing bikram and juicing for a couple of weeks to try and detox a bit. I think I finally feel back to normal after ivf 6 weeks ago. I think even a chemical pg changes your body as my back has been very painful since. Yoga helping loads though. And actually nolly you're right, I'm much more cheerful. 6 weeks ago I was heart broken and felt like my life wasn't worth the effort. Am relieved to be able to find some joy in life again. Hope you're doing ok, exciting that Mr Nol will be back early but can understand the anxiety after recent events. Enjoy Milan, I love Italy.

beaky glad you've got your holiday sorted. You deserve a lovely break and some time out.

Minx this was my first haircut with wine, loved it. Now have a long bob as had several inches off - wine helps a more bold decision!! Defintely check out a new hairdresser. Have you got your IVF appt soon? I'm losing track of plans.?

Enjoy Devon rain! You've really hit the jackpot on the weather front . Hottest day in 10 years due on Weds apparently.

Hi spare!

Right, I'm pooped after yoga and rushing about. Night night lovely berries Brew

tigerdog · 29/06/2015 22:47

That was meant to say ..."uber healthy, failing miserably then piling on unnecessary guilt" at the end of the second para.

beakybeak · 29/06/2015 23:23

Aww Smidge I'm so sorry, really gutted for you. Flowers

Wild fx for you tomorrow.

Spare how are you feeling? What's your plan for when you can get going again?

Tiger I'm pleased you're feeling a bit better in yourself. Hopefully your referral will come through soon - any idea of current waiting lists at the new clinic?

Lucie Happy my left ovary is the lazy one too! How strange! I don't seem to have any side effects from dhea either and I take them with coq10, pregnacare and vit d. Dhea is supposed to be good for egg quality as well. Grr at your book Happy

Barking do you know what you were going to be taking during the FET cycle for the factor v? I hope you're able to get an appointment in early September. Would you need a scratch after having the biopsy? If so would you consider that now do it was done prior to your consultation?

Pipbin · 29/06/2015 23:39

Oh FFS Smidge
