We don't care if you obsessively chart, temp & OPK, or just do the deed a couple of times a month. As long as you want a baby & can talk copious amounts of rubbish, this is the place for you. Grin

It isn’t sexy weather at all – far too sticky! The digis are £25 for 10 sticks unless you get them on offer so can rack up! FF has my fertile window as CD16-25 but I know in a normal month I ov on CD14 so just ignoring them or I would miss the window! Swimming is a great morning work out – the pool is always so cold first thing though! You will have a great time. Cumbria was boiling – it was 22c at 7.30 when I set off for work! Bit cooler today though.

DizzyNorthernBird · 02/07/2015 11:57

Here too, and it's actually just started to rain too! Smile I love rain in the summer! Not torrential downpours though.

I'm not sure which is my 'normal' ov day but I usually aim for cd18-20....But my LP seems to be 15 days and I have been known to have cycles as short as 31 days before so I'm best starting early just to be on the safe side! It would be nice to ov on time but I know travelling can throw things out of kilter!

I'm feeling pretty positive about this month for today at least and if all else fails, I can start getting tested this cycle too so either way this is going to be a better month for me.

Mummyofonesofar · 02/07/2015 12:51

Just worked out that our Bulgaria holiday I will be coming to the end of AF and starting fertile period just before we come home with ov being on return Sad oh well! Not sure what hot countries do to our temps? Mine has been stable in this hot weather - what about everyone else?

DizzyNorthernBird · 02/07/2015 13:37

That's Sod's law mummy, if my last cycle hadn't have been long I would have been due to ov when we were away. Annoying isn't it.

My temps haven't changed with the hot weather but they've been on the decline post AF anyway, 36.00 yesterday and 36.08 today which is what I would have expected.

DizzyMerry · 02/07/2015 14:00

I think I'll be even more stressed if I don't use opks dizzy the past two cycles have been so stressful so I'm rather anxious about this one. Hopefully it was just a blip and things will settle. I did buy a couple of packs of CB opks but I don't think they're any better than the ICs.

Mummy fx tightly crossed for a normal cycle for us this month.

It's far too hot for sex. I can't even stand to be touched in this heat. Only managed 4 hours of sleep last night it was too clammy. My temps seem to be stable too at the moment.

Mummyofonesofar · 02/07/2015 14:08

Just goes to show that when they drop and we try to blame it on a chilly night our temps are better at regulating temps than we think!

DizzyN it is sods law – I guess the positive note is that I can drink away without worrying about implantation that way! Though I didn’t worry about that last month and drank through my tww anyway.

DizzyM Hope you’re not too tired today! The heat makes me sleepy.

AF is back – I spoke to soon Sad hope it stops soon though as only have 1 tampax and staying out tonight and left my mooncup at home!

DizzyMerry · 02/07/2015 14:17

That's great news sammy. Your exciting journey begins today.

Missed your post about your DS mummy well done to the brainbox.
I didn't know digital opks could be done with fmu? That would be so much easier and less stress.

Mummyofonesofar · 02/07/2015 14:22

DizzyM yes the CB dual hormone ones are fmu only - I don't have to stress about them all day then just get up temp and wee then I can do no more all day long Grin

Mummyofonesofar · 02/07/2015 14:24

and thanks about DS - I am very proud! DNiece got one point higher on the test as she isn't anywhere near as bright as DS - just goes to show!

eskimoflo · 02/07/2015 16:27

Oh Mummy that's annoying about AF isn't it? Angry Hope she doesn't stay long Flowers

Sammy How exciting! It's all happening now! Grin

DizzyM The Clearblue digital opks (with the smiley faces) tell you to use them first thing in a morning. Smile

DizzyN I'm really glad you're feeling more positive. Swimming sounds like heaven right now, doesn't it?!

Robot SMEP is the Sperm Meets Egg Plan (although I prefer your definition! Here's the link: spermmeetseggplan.com/ I've thought of another one 'SMEP in the name of love, before you break my heeeaaaarrrt!' I think all the smepping and the heat have got to me... Confused

Have just cracked open the pineapple juice in preparation for the TWW. Grin

spinningirl10 · 02/07/2015 17:24

Mummy, well done to your ds, fantastic results! How are you getting on with the mooncup?

Did we have any bfp's? Must not be lazy and read back properly Smile

Af arrived yesterday. I was in a shit mood so stayed away from here. Told Dp I was fed up with it all and he replied that we should stop trying!! As you can imagine that really finished me off! Have had a chat now and all is ok. New cycle, new hopeGrin

spinningirl10 · 02/07/2015 17:29

Knickers, sorry for the bfn, that's shit!

Nympho, Congratulations to youGrin

Eskimo, my dd says Download is her fav festival. I have nothing to compare it to but I loved it! It did rain!! Quite heavily at times, at other times it was scorching hot.

Sammy, aww how lovely is your dh. I'm so excited to follow your ivf journey. Very exciting!

Mummyofonesofar · 02/07/2015 17:39

spinnin mooncup is fab. But stupidly as there was none in it this morning and no blood before I left for work on wiping at all I left it at home and now back on and staying out tonight and having cocktails with the girls so annoyed that I didn't bring it just incase! Sorry about AF and DHs silly comment. I'm sure he thought he was saying the right thing.

Hairstylisttoboris · 02/07/2015 18:09

sammy getting excited for you :)

mummy you should be proud of your Ds

spinning sorry for AF :(

eskimo enjoy the pineapple juice. How are you feeling now? Hope the clomid Blues propperly went. Love your SMEP songs :)

AF arrived for me this afternoon so tomorrow is the first day of a new cycle. Tonight is time to drink.

spinningirl10 · 02/07/2015 18:30

Mummy, pleased you're liking the mooncup but bah to leaving it at home and af starting again! Have fun with your friends and enjoy the drinks Grin think I'm going to give the mooncup a try.

Boris, sorry af turned up, yes to a few drinks, enjoy Grin

Hairstylisttoboris · 02/07/2015 18:53

eskimo I'm now singing smep in the name if love... I blame you.

eskimoflo · 02/07/2015 19:18

Pahahaha Boris I'm glad something made you sing! It seemed very a apt song for last night, considering my DH was saying 'Do we really need to SMEP tonight? Sorry for AF Flowers

I am typing this and keeping one eye on the heavens, as it seems they are about to open and I have washed our SMEPPY sheets today and hung them out Hmm The sky has gone black and I have just heard a rumble of thunder, so it may only be a matter of minutes before I have to dash out...

megarobotdiscoparty · 02/07/2015 19:53

Thanks for the reading material eskimo... and for the fact that I also can't get "SMEP in the name of love out of my head". Truly. Thank you.

Rainy34 · 02/07/2015 20:03

mega dont feel so hot today, had a bit more of a breeze, fingers crossed you get good weather on your camping trip!!, where will you be camping?

HopesUpKnickersDown · 02/07/2015 21:20

Evening all,

Just hopping on to thank those who have asked after me, af is on it's way, temp drop and cramps so not my month this month. Not going to get down about it, I've got lots to be thankful for Smile

Another shocking day at work so hitting the gin if anyone wants to join me at the back of the bus?????

megarobotdiscoparty · 02/07/2015 21:24

North Yorkshire all being well Rainy... with my NCT friend plus 8 week old baby! They're very brave. I am packing earplugs.

Happy JoC sammy! (That's jab o'clock). How was it?

Had my filling put back in today and got baby bombed by my dentist -WTF! First one I've had with the same due date as I should have had before we lost ours. Literally told me before she started up the drill - it was a double whammy of shit! She's a friend of my smug pregnant friend so will undoubtedly be seeing and hearing more about it all. Joy!

Hope mummy is enjoying her cocktails!

And fx it cools down enough for you to get that 13 miler scheduled back in dizzynorthern - you madwoman Grin

megarobotdiscoparty · 02/07/2015 21:26

X post knickers! I don't know where I am on the bus anymore...stuck down the back of one of the seats I think...but I'll join you with a gin! Maybe a cheeky Tom Collins seeing as it's nearly Friday?

megarobotdiscoparty · 02/07/2015 21:31

Due the same month I mean - same exact date would have been freaky!

BabyBumpHopeful · 02/07/2015 21:49

Argh. i've been typing my reply at work for days but it's moved so much since I started it that a lot of my comments are too old...

Went to a baby shower on Saturday. Both the mummy-to-be and the host were pregnant. Wasn’t too bad because I was busy making a mental list of cute things she got. I think what bothered me more was my in-laws were there and they don’t know we’re trying so I couldn’t ask any questions or talk about it with her like I would if they weren’t here.

… and while typing this my colleagues daughter came in and told us she’s pregnant. Due in Jan… okay that one hit me harder. Maybe age? She’s younger than me, mid-20s. Maybe the fact I don’t know her well? Irrational jealousy.. ugh. I’ve since found out she’s been trying since last year… is it wrong that it made me feel better? Like solidarity or something perhaps?

Sent DH a text and told she was pregnant and that I want one and he replied “I’m sorry. I tried”. Made me feel like I should be more careful what I say because I think perhaps he’s feeling as much a failure as I am (though we both know it’s not easy, being younger and told any and all unprotected sex = baby is hard to shake!). He did ask last night when our "good" days were, as in when to DTD so that's promising at least :)

Also that friend I’ve mentioned before who gets pregnant at the drop of a hat and all that jazz? She thinks she’s pregnant again (as of 2 days ago) and isn’t happy about it because she has the rod in. She still hasn’t taken a test and is busy just freaking out because it’s not a good thing… le sigh.

HopesUpKnickersDown · 02/07/2015 22:04

Sorry for the baby bombs Robot and Babybump...is there nowhere we're safe from baby bombs?!????

Bottoms up Robot...let's pretend it's Friday????

Commiserations to those who've had af arrive ????

Thinking of you Sammy, good luck!

I'll catch up with you lovelies properly tomorrow...if I survive another day at work!
