We don't care if you obsessively chart, temp & OPK, or just do the deed a couple of times a month. As long as you want a baby & can talk copious amounts of rubbish, this is the place for you. Grin

knickers sorry for bfn. We can battle cycle 5 together Grin

chopsface · 01/07/2015 19:52

I'm sure they will give you options at your appointment nomio if you've had all the tests. Our first clinic appointment was with a nurse who told me I needed the hystowhassicalled. We saw the consultant after I'd had that done and got offered treatment then and there! Was a shock really after all the build up, and there it is, on a plate! Thanks for asking about me, I'm 16w now and yes I've had my 12w scan plus a sneaky private one at 8w ;-) Good luck at your appointment!

Sorry for bfn knickers

nympho we've chatted on FB already!

Hi everyone else!

eskimoflo · 01/07/2015 20:00

Robot No, I haven't been scanned. I did ask the consultant if I would get one, but he said not. It's just down to the blood tests on Monday to tell me if it's worked. I wonder if it's because I am not paying for it? Hmm

Spinning My brother has worked at Glasto for the last 3 or 4 years, but he didn't this year. Haven't asked him if he regrets it or not yet, as it's rained every year but this one! I have seen Lionel Richie live- he was supporting Tina Turner when I saw her back in 2000! The best festival I have ever been to (and more surprisingly, the cleanest) was Download last year. Loved it. V Festival is by far the dirtiest... yuck!

Knickers Sorry for AF. On to the next cycle- onwards and upwards!

Rainy I am me again after my massive mood swings of last week! I am fine. Don't feel any different really, which is worrying me. Surely I'm supposed to feel something? Hmm How are you lovely?

Sammie Do you have your scan tomorrow? Good luck!

DizzyM Flowers Flowers

We got another CoC in last night, although it very nearly didn't happen, and it wasn't very 'satisfying' for me. Still, it was better than nothing. CD16 for me. Might manage another one tonight and then have a rest tomorrow... Grin

Rainy34 · 01/07/2015 20:27

Eskimo I have heard it can make you have mood swings but glad your feeling like more yourself, try not to worry about not feeling different, it might be a good sign, I am ok, its taking alot of effort to ttc at the moment, once i get my fertility appoinmnet il probably feel more likey to want to ttc, other than that just enjoying the nice weather x

eskimoflo · 01/07/2015 20:33

I know what you mean Rainy. The limbo of TTC is the worst. Do you know if you'll have long to wait?

Reluctantnympho · 01/07/2015 20:36

Thank you for the congratulations everyone' I'm having a bit of a wobble now, and thinking about how light the lines were. So I will pee on more sticks tomorrow!!
I have really enjoyed having you all to talk to during this horrible time. I wish women in real life felt that they could be so open and honest about, sex, bodies, periods etc! You have all been so supportive and it has been wonderful to have people to laugh and cry with Flowers I hope you all get your bfp's really soon.((hugs))

megarobotdiscoparty · 01/07/2015 20:45

nympho!!!! Congratulations to you!! Fanbloodytastic stuff. And what a lovely message, I feel quite emosh. It's so true, you lot are a lovely bunch.

Just got home so will do proper catch ups later if I don't fall asleep in my tea again! Hope you're all ok. Hug for you knickers even though that stuff is frowned on

Hairstylisttoboris · 01/07/2015 20:54

nympho how fabulous! Thoes lines will darken nicely :) x

Nomio230 · 01/07/2015 21:29

Knickers, I am really sorry to hear about your BFN.

Rainy, I am sure you will get your excitement back once things get going with your referral. It is hard going through all this every month when you don't have any faith it will work.

Nympho, are you leaving us already? We will miss you. X

Eskimo, I am glad you are feeling more like yourself again. It is strange how the same drug can affect us all so differently.

OP posts:
loopylou1984 · 01/07/2015 22:10

Fifi - thank you, yes, I feel like I have a little bit of control back now.

Nympho - A faint line?! Exciting!!!! Ooooh the other ones not so feint!! Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Boris - sorry about the bfn :(, and sorry you're feeling down. I found the year ish mark really hard because you're still in the 'normal' time frame so theres hope, but too early to actually get any help. I agree with the others, best to get the SA done ASAP. He HAS to have it done before you can have any further tests... maybe you could sell it to him that way?

Mummy - glad your friend apologised.

DizzyN - tell me you didn't go running in this heat?

DizzyM - Maybe care accepted our NHS tests because they also tak NHS referrals. Sorry I got your hopes up by suggesting them.

Hopes - sorry for the bfn and the rubbish day at work :(

Nomio - glad you've got an appointment through, stand your ground with them!

Eskimo - yes, baseline scan tomorrow. Getting excited/nervous! I'm shattered thinking about dtd in this heat, well done you and Mr Eskimo!

So we have our baseline can tomorrow and should be starting injections tomorrow night. I feel a bit weird about having a dildocam whilst on AF, but they've seen it all before.
Mr Sammy came home with flowers and chocolate, and said 'tomorrow is the start of our journey' which made me cry. I love that man :) Xx

Nomio230 · 01/07/2015 22:29

I think I love him too, Sammy! He sounds so sweet.

How are you feeling about having to inject yourself?

I got flowers, chocolates & a card from my lovely husband tonight. Smile

OP posts:
loopylou1984 · 01/07/2015 22:44

I'm ok about doing the injections. A bit worried about getting the doses right, but ok with the physical stabbing myself with a needle bit!

Your husband sounds lovely too :). Xx

DizzyMerry · 01/07/2015 23:42

Many congrats nympho.

Sorry for bfn knickers and your awful day. Hope tomorrow is much better.

Don't be sorry sammy I wouldn't have known if I didn't contact them so all's good. How sweet of your DH. Good luck with your scan tomorrow.

Rainy I will ring a few clinics tomorrow and if I don't get anywhere it'll be back to the clinic we went to last month. I was put off by their price for the HyCoSy but it doesn't look like I've got any other options but to just go with it.

Aww your DH sounds lovely too nomio. Those lovely little gestures go a very long way and make everything worthwhile.

Cd4 and I'm so bored but then again I'm rather worried about having another weird cycle so not looking forward to opks.

eskimoflo · 01/07/2015 23:44

DH produced the goods again just now, so I'm lying on my back occasionally rocking from side to side. No bum on pillow! The acronym 'SMEP' has now become a verb in our house. Earlier DH asked if we could 'SMEP' in the spare room as it was too hot in our bedroom, and I have also been singing 'SMEP' me baby one more time ( to honour the end of the 4 day in a row shagathon and hail the start of the one day break) Grin Night night ladies.

eskimoflo · 01/07/2015 23:48

Almost forgot to congratulate Nomio on the end of your exams. Hoorah! Take some time out now and spoil yourself silly! Wink

BabyBumpHopeful · 02/07/2015 02:03

I'm writing my "real" reply from work so can't post just yet but wanted to at least place mark.

Nomio230 · 02/07/2015 08:53

Sammy, you are braver than me! I hate injections. I hope you get on well at your scan. X

Thanks, Eskimo. I plan on doing absolutely nothing except sleeping, eating & watching tennis today. Grin

Good going on all the SMEPing! That egg will be drowning in sperm!

Hope all is good with you, BBH.

Mummyofonesofar · 02/07/2015 09:11

nympho your lines will darken beautifully I am sure x

SammyAHhhh injections from tonight?! This is getting so bloody exciting! Your husband is fantastic, what a cutie pie and he is right Grin I am also in love with your husband! Good luck with your scan. Did you hear back from the clinic about the thing you thought you were missing?

Nomioflowers & chocolates for you too! Wow you’re all married to Gods! Congratulations on finishing your exams, enjoy your tennis today!

DizzyM I hope you find a clinic to agree to the HyCoSy only! I am only one day behind you, CD4 here today Grin Fx our cycles are normal for one month!

eskimo Glad you sorted CoC, funny that you’re both using the term SMEP as a verb! I am starting to wonder whether we should follow SMEP as we don’t really follow a plan of any sort – every month is different! Then again the month we got a BFP we DTD twice on ov day so maybe that’s the trick for us!

Our fertile time should be next weekend – thank God! The week time ov is hard work! And for those of you not friends with me on facebook time for a Mummy gloat – DS got 92.5% in his KS1 SATs – pass mark was 80% Grin Grin Grin

megarobotdiscoparty · 02/07/2015 09:25

Morning bums! How are we all this fine morning? Have we melted yet? I’m hoping this weather keeps up for my week off in a couple of weeks… hoping to go camping if it stays dry at least. Such a fair-weather camper!

nympho have you made any line-darkening progress this morning? I hope you’ll stick around here for a little bit, or at least pop back to see us. It’s lovely when we get a BFP but bittersweet to wave goodbye to lovely grads.

knickers how are you feeling lovely? I’m thinking of you. Sticky heat + work hell + BFN = not fun. Hope you’ve got a nice weekend planned.

Sammy all systems go tonight!! Oh bless your lovely DH. This really is the start of the adventure. How are the pups? So much to be excited about.

Dizzymerry that sucks about Care, so frustrating, I hope you’re not too disappointed. Good luck for the ringing round today. Don’t be afraid of the opks! It will be ok, and we will be here to support you all the way.

Dizzynorthern did you brave your run?? I made it through two classes, wasn’t actually as bad as I’d feared in the end. The hardest bit was getting changed beforehand – leggings kept sticking to my legs – ugh!

nomio enjoy a well deserved rest today! I’m campaigning to get the tennis on in the office once I can work out what time Murray’s on. Hope you’ve got some strawberries and cream….mmm….

eskimo confession – I’ve no idea what SMEP stands for! Sexy men ejaculating productively? Sounds like it’s going smeppingly well Grin The scan thing seems so arbitrary – we had them even when we weren’t paying. I’m not sure how much it really helps, aside from saving you from opks for a month. There’s only so much dildo-cam you can take in a week!

boris I hope you’re feeling better this morning. I get it completely… I almost feel ok about it until I start thinking about due dates, almost like I’m waving goodbye to a winter baby, then a spring baby, then a summer baby… it’s so hard to keep having faith. What cd are you now? I wonder if going to the docs about the bleed might make you feel better – like you’re taking back a bit of control. See what happens this time anyway, crossing everything for you.

Rainy I hope your appointment comes through soon, there’s a lot to be said for having the professionals in to take the pressure off ttc.

Wow mummy a total brainiac (and a speed demon at sports day too!). Let’s hope you can plant another one next weekend Grin. How are you today?

Waving to fifi and chops and everyone else - hope you’re all ok…

Mummyofonesofar · 02/07/2015 09:43

mega I am loving this gorgeous weather – though it was hard to get to sleep with how muggy it was last night. Apparently we had thunder and lightening – I didn’t hear a peep! Got a girls night tonight – so looking forward to it, cocktails at spoons then back to my friends for Chinese and more cocktails Grin got to manage work tomorrow though so need to be sensible ish (if not I can walk from hers to work as it’s no far)

loopylou1984 · 02/07/2015 10:01

Will do a proper update tonight, but just to say, just had my baseline scan and we're good to go tonight! First injection will be around 9pm! X

Mummyofonesofar · 02/07/2015 10:28

Great news sammy!

DizzyNorthernBird · 02/07/2015 10:36

Morning!

sammy your DH is lovely! You're so lucky. I'm so excited for you starting the next phase in your journey! And this journey WILL lead to baby, even if you hit any bumps on the way. I would be squeamish about injections too, but I know if it came to it I'd be prepared to do anything!

I know it's old news now, but Caprice was on breakfast news this morning talking about her kids. For those who don't know her story, she was told she would never be able to carry a child. So she opted for a surrogate mother who successfully implanted, then found out she was pregnant herself naturally!! Both babies born within a month of each other. There is hope for all of us, no matter what we're up against Smile We will all get our babies, no matter how we have to go about it.

mummy what was the temperature yesterday in Cumbria? my fertile window starts next weekend too! I wish it was a few days earlier though as there will be lots of shagging while we're on holiday with aircon

mega I did go running, it was horrendous. I managed two miles before flagging then had to jog/walk the rest of the way home. I managed 5 miles but was supposed to do 13 yesterday. Sod that! I was still about 30 degrees when I went out. At least now I've made my decision about whether or not to take my running kit with me to Spain next week!! oh and the heat yesterday made me consider about whether I'd want a due date in the summer......it must be dreadful being heavily preggo in this weather.....

knickers did AF arrive?

dizzym your window will be here soon enough! Can you not ditch the opks? I'm not using them this cycle as they really did stress me out last month and I'm convinced they were the reason I ov'd so late. And also if this hot weather continues its not healthy to avoid fluids before a test.

Last night was horrendous, my flat is so hot so most of yesterday I was lounging on the sofa with the curtains closed and the fan blowing. Was so hot in bed last night, thermostat was reading 28 degrees at 23.00 and we had our windows open Sad. Flat is still stuffy this morning despite it being cooler and cloudy but have had to keep the windows shut because of building work outside making a racket! DP was hilarious, he'd been out with friends on his motorbike for the evening and was sweltering in his gear. He got home and stripped off in front of the fan to get some air blowing at his balls ha ha Grin Grin

Mummyofonesofar · 02/07/2015 11:04

DizzyN Wow I hadn’t heard about Caprice. How lovely to have two babies born so close together (or hard work!). The temp here was 30c, very hot! Also I think to think it always feels hotter because there is less pollution too. I can’t believe you went running! You cannot go running in Spain either – mad woman – enjoy your holiday! Shame about the timing of your fertile period but at least you’ve got the weekend to get them in before going back to work, and you will still be in holiday mode from the sun, sand and sangria!
I don’t mid the digi opks as it is just first morning wee so could work for the worriers as they are pretty stress free. Haha to DP blowing his balls in the fan!! I offered DP a BJ last night because I am out with the girls and AF was still here so couldn’t offer more and he actually turned it down because it was too hot! So pleased as I didn’t really want to get near his sweaty balls anyway Grin

DizzyNorthernBird · 02/07/2015 11:26

DP turned me down last night too! But I was relieved as this isn't sexy weather!

I wish I could use digi opks but they would cost me a fortune because I'd need to use them for a full week at least!

Luckily I have no late shifts for almost two weeks after we get back from hols so there's plenty of time to make the most of my extended fertile window! I could ov anywhere between cd16-23 according to ff so my plan is to start dtd from cd12 (when we're in Spain) and do it every 3 days until temp rise. That's expecting a lot from DP but usually I'm expecting it every day so hopefully he can manage the slower pace!

Wow 30 degrees is v hot for Cumbria! I'm not sure whether pollution affects the heat but the air was certainly very oppressive here last night making it difficult to breathe when I was running.

I'm thinking plenty of swimming next week in Spain instead! Early morning dips in the pool before breakkie on the balcony. Eeeeeeek I can't wait!!
