We don't care if you obsessively chart, temp & OPK, or just do the deed a couple of times a month. As long as you want a baby & can talk copious amounts of rubbish, this is the place for you. Grin

Aww, Boris, please don't be sad. You will get there, and will soon be longing for the days of being able to sleep!

I know exactly how you feel though. Every month I feel like I am less likely to ever have a child & I am stupidly worried about all the risks associated with older pregnancy. Sad

I really think you need to persuade DH to get his SA done. If there is a problem, it is better to know as soon as possible.

Aw boris sorry you're feeling down. We've all been there. It's not nice being stuck in limbo but these men can be so stubborn! I reckon if I was to ask DP to get an SA it would be a fight to get him to agree. He thinks he's fine because he's already got two kids but his youngest would have been concieved six years ago and a lot can change in that time. And never mind getting him to take supplements, I wouldn't be able to trust him to actually take them!

I feel the same nomio. I know it's only been six months for me but I'm already writing myself off...this month I've already started to feel like I can't be arsed thinking about ttc let alone dtd, and I've even agreed to DP looking at returning to full time studies...which would cripple us financially, never mind me getting pg!

Nomio230 · 01/07/2015 11:44

I think you ladies need to get tough with your men. If DH wasn't even willing to take supplements or go for an SA, I would go mad. I would definitely be withholding sex privileges, and more importantly, would refuse to make him any cups of tea!

I agree with Nomio kick their arses! If we are taking vits then they bloody well can! Then again DP would be happy to not DTD all the time and I never make him drinks (he makes mine every morning in bed). And kicking off about a SA is not acceptable women have to go through all sorts of tests – the least they can do is jizz in a sodding cup!!!

Reluctantnympho · 01/07/2015 12:32

Quick post and dash - lunch time wee wee! I'm beginning to get a tiny bit excited (even though I have got af pains)

Knickers I'd be wary of two evaps as sammy said that would just be unlucky. Maybe use a different brand.

Nympho I see a line. This is so exciting!

Oh mummy sorry you're having a hard time with 'friends'. It must be hard to avoid people when you live in a small village. I hope your holiday comes round quick.

Don't do it dizzy it's way too hot for a run. You'll pass out in this heat!

i got an appointment letter from Care yesterday. They have offered us initial fertility tests; SA and blood tests, which we've already had on the NHS so I phoned to explain but was told they wouldn't do a HyCoSy without these first and they want to conduct their own tests. I decided not to go ahead because I really don't see the point of having these tests repeated at this stage.

Mummyofonesofar · 01/07/2015 12:57

knickers & nympho please gets frers and post pictures in colour so we can see their pinkness in the morning. Getting ready for big contratulations!!

Thanks DizzyM 3 weeks Friday for Kent and 8 weeks tomorrow for Bulgaria – both can’t come quick enough! Shame about Care Sad but you are right not to waste money on repeated tests I think. Unless HyCoCy would really give you some answers – it must be difficult to decide.

loopylou1984 · 01/07/2015 13:23

Dizzy - that really surprises me as we had initial tests on nhs and they accepted them. Dhs SA was done at the care clinic through the nhs but my ultrasound and blood tests were nothing to do with them. How strange. Is it worth double checking? X

DizzyMerry · 01/07/2015 13:29

Sammy I did ask them to check with the consultant, which they did and he said there's no point going for a HyCoSy first as they first do an transvaginal scan and decide from there if a HyCoSy is required.

Hairstylisttoboris · 01/07/2015 13:32

dizzym are there any other clincs near you?

DizzyMerry · 01/07/2015 13:39

There are boris but I may just be better going back to the clinic where I had the initial consultation. Although the HyCoSy was more expensive I can have it straightaway without having any other tests done so may work out cheaper. I may also try ringing a few clinics to check with them as well.

Hairstylisttoboris · 01/07/2015 15:00

Pregnant (junior...) colleague just sent me to the pharmacist for her as she's to uncomfortable to go herself. To get there you have to walk past the nursery next door with loads of young mums and pregnant people hanging round outside. I'm Now wallowing in my own self pity and pain.

Mummyofonesofar · 01/07/2015 15:16

Sorry boris it will be you. I promise xx

chopsface · 01/07/2015 15:40

Sorry for bfn and preggo lady errands Boris you deffo need to get your dh checked out too asap. Can't he get that done whilst waiting for his other referral? There is usually not a wait for sa's particularly.

How exciting for nympho and knickers! Good luck tomorrow ladies! How many dpo are you?

nomio any further with your fertility referral in your new area?

Nomio230 · 01/07/2015 16:43

Nympho & Knickers, I am getting excited for you both! I really hope you both have good news tomorrow!

Dizzy, I am the same as Sammy. I have had most tests on the NHS & just gone private for certain things & it has never been a problem. I would speak to other clinics in the area.

Most private places are able to just request your NHS results from your Dr.

Chops, I have an appointment with the fertility consultant on the 8th & will not be leaving until they refer me for IVF! How are you doing? Have you had any scans yet?
