We don't care if you obsessively chart, temp & OPK, or just do the deed a couple of times a month. As long as you want a baby & can talk copious amounts of rubbish, this is the place for you. Grin

I'm sure it's not deliberate either but very thoughtless..it would have been upsetting if they'd told you personally but to announce it on fb without warning you first is a real kick in the guts.????

eskimoflo · 29/06/2015 21:29

Hi everyone! Time for a catch-up me thinks!

Rainy Glad you had a good time away. Hope your return to work wasn't too arduous. You are a day behind me in cycle land, buddy ;)

Madame DizzyM DizzyN Mummy Sorry for AF Flowers

Lucie So sorry to hear that things didn't work out this cycle. What an emotional rollercoaster for you. Really hope that it's onwards and upwards for next time now!

Sammie Getting close to scan day now! Hope that AF arrives on time for you (if she's coming at all!)

Nympho How is 'nit watch* going? Hope the little buggers aren't driving you crazy!

Robot Glad you got a little bit of CoC time in and that you've been making the most of the sunshine. Can you rely on OPKs? I heard sthat they weren't brilliant for PCOS. Since coming off the pill in November, I've had lots of positive OPKs around the 'right time' but then tests show that I just wasn't ovulating. I still pee on them, but take them with a huge pinch of salt now! If this cycle hasn't worked, are you moving on to the clomid?

Nomio Best of luck for this week's exams. Bet you can't wait to relax after them! I know what you mean about fitting CoC time! We had my sister and her partner staying this weekend, which was CD12 and 13 for me and after a massively busy day on Saturday and a late night, we both fell asleep on the sofa yesterday afternoon, woke up to stumble upstairs for a quickie and then had an early night!

Mummy Sorry for the baby bomb. I just had one from an old uni friend. Classic scan photo on FB, which seemed to come out of the blue. It made me feel Sad

It's CD14 for me and I got a static smiley this morning after two empty circles on Thursday and Friday and two flashing smileys on Saturday and yesterday, so the signs are looking good, although I am wary about OPKs as I have had false surges before (or they may have been real surges that just weren't strong enough for ovulation). I also got a lot of what I think may be EWCM this morning, which confused me as I thought that clomid dried that up?? I'm really hoping that it wasn't leftover spunk Hmm

Clomid mood swings lasted until Friday, when I was on a course and got very arsey with two of my colleagues (who I am very close to; they are my 'Work Wives') They were teasing me and I was very sensitive and went home in a huff. Blush After an amazing weekend with my sister, who visited from London, I am feeling far happier! Will hopefully get in another CoC tonight when DH gets in from his gym shift, and another tomorrow night (following SMEP) and then it will be on to blood tests next Monday to see if the clomid made my eggs pop! Grin

HopesUpKnickersDown · 29/06/2015 21:30

Thanks Rainy, I only have a 9-10 day LP though so I have to get my symptom spotting in while I can...AF will be here by Friday so only a small window of opportunity Wink

HopesUpKnickersDown · 29/06/2015 21:38

Eskimo glad you've had a good weekend, fingers crossed the clomid works it's magic. Isn't it mummy who's the expert on the old ewcm v's spunk debate? ????

loopylou1984 · 29/06/2015 21:38

Will catch up later, but just to quickly say - Purdie I can't do the link but our thread is called 'TTC for 10 months, and the rest. 10 plussers welcome' Xx

chopsface · 29/06/2015 21:43

mummy your friend is a cowbag, that is all!

Hairstylisttoboris · 29/06/2015 21:44

Waves at chops! Just off to read back. Waves to everyone else as well...

Nomio230 · 29/06/2015 21:45

Eskimo, that is sounding promising. I so hope this works for you! I find I hardly get any EWCM while on Clomid, but it might not affect you. Get shagging, woman!

We went to the garage where we are temporarily storing most of our stuff to go get a fan earlier & it was broken. We then tried Asda, Tesco, Argos & Homebase & nowhere had any in stock. I might melt before the end of the week. Sad

eskimoflo · 29/06/2015 21:45

Thanks Knickers My DH has quite yellow spunk, but this was crystal clear and really stretchy! TMI but it also appeared after I'd had a bowel movement (pahahaha, I clearly mean shit ) and I've read somewhere that that is when you usually see EWCM. Just seems a coincidence with it being CD14 and having a static smiley this morning, but I wasn't expecting so much of it whilst on clomid, so I'm suspicious! Hmm

eskimoflo · 29/06/2015 21:47

Oops Nomio Crossed posts! But yes, I wasn't expecting any. It was definitely there, but I just hope it wasn't sperm... Confused

Nomio230 · 29/06/2015 21:50

It sounds to me more like EWCM. I have a good feeling that your Clomid is working! Smile

OP posts:
eskimoflo · 29/06/2015 21:51

Nomio I really hope so! Thank you Blush

HopesUpKnickersDown · 29/06/2015 21:53

Sounds promising Eskimo, good luck! Smile

Nomio230 · 29/06/2015 22:11

Who is next to POAS? We need a BFP!

Reluctantnympho · 29/06/2015 22:26

mummy I'm so sorry for the baby bomb Sad
Nits only infested one of the dc's curly heads, but middle dd has waist length curly hair and dragging a nit comb through it was not fun Angry
Bfn again today, so I'm fully expecting af on Wednesday, I will try not to get upset this month (because we have an all inclusive two week holiday in three weeks and it would be rude not to partake in copious amounts of alcohol) however I'm onto cycle 9 or 10 now (I've lost count) so it really is time to sort things out rather than just moaning about it.
Glad the clomid seems to be working its magic eskimo wonder if I can buy me some of that magic!

megarobotdiscoparty · 30/06/2015 06:36

mummy your friend needs to grow up - what a spineless thing to do. I would have a (calm, brief) word to make your point. It won't need much, I'm sure she will feel pretty bad anyway, otherwise she would have told you in the first place. What's wrong with people!!

Good luck for today and tomorrow nomio - nearly there!

eskimo sounds like it's going very well indeed to me! Fx for a hit on target! I've only had positive opks on one cycle prior to this- and I got pregnant that cycle! They'd always been blank for me before that. So while not a failsafe way to tell it definitely feels hopeful that I might have ovulated again - late this time though (cd18 on my bfp cycle, cd28 on this) so not ideal but still better than nowt. I am indeed back on the Clomid next month. Very exciting although not looking forward to the side effects - so glad you're feeling better now! Mad isn't it. Do your workmates know you're having treatment? I'm pondering whether to tell my line manager this time...wouldn't have dreamed of telling her before but she knows about the MC so she must be wondering what's going on! And will be very supportive I hope. Might be useful fpr her to be aware as I have loads of scans at my place that's why it's so bloody expensive.

The tot calls....will catch up with everyone else shortly! Waving to you all on this beautiful sunny morn!

Mummyofonesofar · 30/06/2015 06:52

sskimo yay for ewcm!!! Sounds like the stuff to me. I text her saying that I would have appreciated a text warning and its upset me that she couldn't tell me personally and she kicked off. Very childish and unaware of anyone but herself. She even moaned that she hadn't seen me since I popped over 5 days after my miscarriage (yeah the visit when she didn't even ask how I was) and i haven't been to see her since. Shock what would have been wrong with her coming to see me?!? Even more pissed off that she doesn't even remotely understand why it might upset me. She said another friend of hers had a still born in January and she wasn't worried how she found out either. Feel sorry for that poor friend too!

loopylou1984 · 30/06/2015 07:52

Gah, still no time for a proper catch up, promise to do so tonight!
###stats###
Cycle 21 (1 of IVF), bfp due 2nd ish of August

They don't let you test until 18 days after egg collection!!! Because one of the drugs can give false positive, not because they're mean! X

Putneymummy1 · 30/06/2015 08:22

My God Mummy she sounds like a total tool. I mean have a bit of empathy ffs. Nomio had my harmony and all my scans at Fetal Medicine Centre. They were great all the way through. 'Symptoms' seem to have subsided so I expect I'll be hanging around! X

DizzyNorthernBird · 30/06/2015 08:48

Morning!

mummy I can't understand why your friend has done what she's done. Ok, so she's obviously wanted to keep bean a secret until 12 weeks, and after you had your mc there was probably never going to be a good time to break the news to you. Some people just don't know how to deal with a situation like that. But I'm surprised she didn't confide in you at the beginning, you'd confided in her about your pregnancy so I'm surprised she didn't do the same. She could have broken the news to you more tactfully though. Fooking Facebook grrrr. And what about the poor friend with the still born too... Sounds like a toxic friend to me. Keep at arms length from now on, you don't need people like that in your life.

eskimo how exciting, looks like the clomid is working its magic! I always see my ewcm after a poo btw! I don't trust opks anymore either. Keep on at it until the cm disappears!

sammy, 18 days....! Sounds like torture! We're here to get you through it!

Hi to everyone else!

Cd5 here already and AF is disappearing. My last shift last night was blissfully quiet so I managed to get all my work up to date before my time off. Today is going to be the first proper hot day of the year and I'm stuck at home waiting for a bloke to come & service my boiler, boo!!!

Mummyofonesofar · 30/06/2015 09:22

Sammy so excited for your IVF cycle!!! At least you have a reason not to test early then, rather than just “don’t do it”

Putney complete tool. Sorry symptoms have gone – but sometimes having no cymptoms is a symptom Wink

DizzyN I really hate facebook sometimes!! I am going to distance myself from her and a couple of others I think. Going to end up with no friends but I have DP so we will be ok. Have a girls night in with some friends I used to work with on Thursday to look forward to and just found a holiday to Bulgaria which I am waiting for the ok from DP to book. Onwards & upwards! Glad you got everything done before you went on leave, sit in the garden waiting for boiler man, you’ll have a great day if you find a good book Grin

Any mooncup users – how on earth do you stop it making that awful suction release noise when taking it out – everyone is going to hear me in the loo at work!!

DizzyNorthernBird · 30/06/2015 09:52

mummy that's great that you've found a holiday, I hope DP is up for it. When are you looking at going?

I don't have a garden to sit in Sad . There's a park nearby though so I might grab a blanket and head down there with my book...great idea Smile

Let me know how you get on with the moon cup, I've considered using one before but was a bit sceptical! Do you not have a disabled loo somewhere which is a bit more private?

I can't stand Facebook. At the moment I use it to stalk our grads to see how they're getting on but nothing else! I don't even look at what my own friends are doing any more! Ha!

Mummyofonesofar · 30/06/2015 10:03

DizzyN Shame about the garden – get to that park – I hope the boiler man shows up soon and he is gorgeous to make up for it Grin

I got the OK so just booked it Grin going late August, a little summer holiday before the schools go back. Anyone been to Bulgaria before? Sounds like a scary place but it is warm and on a sandy beach plus it is cheap to eat out so win win! Booked flights, transfers, luggage & B&B for all 3 of us for £750! Well chuffed!!

The loos are private with a toilet and sink so will be ok rinsing it out at work but noise wise the door leads onto the corridor with a row of offices and has a gap underneath so from my office I can hear the men peeing standing up with all their noise and the mooncup makes a sort of slerp noise when pulled out But it is more comfy than a tampon and good for 4-8 hours. Slept in it last night with no spillages too. Only bought it for DTD but thought I best try it with AF too and it is great!

DizzyNorthernBird · 30/06/2015 10:18

Yay for beach break mummy! Not been to Bulgaria myself but my parents went a few years ago to a ski resort and enjoyed it. I think they felt it was very 'rustic' and charming but that was a fair few years ago now and with increasing tourism there I'm sure it'll be lovely. Where are you going? My neighbour is Bulgarian so I can ask him what it's like when I see him Smile sounds like you've bagged yourself a bargain!

Hmm maybe I should seriously consider moon cup. I hate spending money on tampax. I wouldn't worry about the schlerp noise, men do pee very loudly but with background office noise I doubt anyone will hear it, and even if they did they won't know what it is!

Non-ttc tmi alert!

Well I think my nasal rinse is starting to work...I just used it and when I blew my nose afterwards a huge gob of green mucus came out! Where the bloody hell did that come from?! My nose wasn't even blocked this morning?!! I think green is a sign of infection so I'm hoping this is a good sign & means the wash is working! Bye bye post nasal drip!
