I only have 26-27 day cycles Violet so is that why we're 5 days apart? My last AF was 16th June (26days) so apps have put me on 26 again this time. Ovulated on 29th so LP should be 13 days. Have fun dtd

Bah humbug. Just found out yet another friend is pregnant. Her little girl is a couple of months younger than my toddler and she's 8 weeks now. That's 4 of my antenatal class with new babies, 2 nursery mums due any day, and now this friend.

If I hadn't miscarried in May we'd be due at the same time. I feel... not good

Yes - I'll hang out here even though July is impossible for a BFP! I don't want to miss out on any gossip, ha ha. My surgery is at the end of next week. I am so so so scared in case it is bad news. On the plus side, I FINALLY got a peak OPK today after a week of 'highs'. It's CD20 of a 28 day cycle, so chances are my LP would have been too short to allow a pregnancy anyway (despite being suddenly forbidden from TTC this month!) x

At least it was relayed by her husband to MrVan so I didn't have to deal with it face to face.

Started spotting today. Hoping against hope that this is implantation bleeding, but considering the past few weeks, I'm not optimistic. Am a bit heartbroken (if indeed AF comes in force tomorrow, as I fully expect) as.. and I don't put any stock in reincarnation or anything like that... but I would have conceived in and around the time the my grandmother passed and it was a bit of a nice thought (at least to me) to have a bit of life coming out of her passing.

So now I'm sitting on the loo, sobbing. A lovely mental image for you all, I'm sure.

Bfn so far - we started the baby dance A few days after my app said i might have ovulated though - it said today's chance "maybe baby". I will try again in two days if still no visit from AF!! Not losing hope yet! It's a weird test though you have to pee in something then dip it in it for 10 sd... i had to use the unused sandcastle toy that i won at a lottery lol...tmi but quite funny for me!!

Carrot that's a small blessing I guess! It's so hard to have these things sprung on you. Speaking of which, I've just found out that a girl in my year who made my life a living hell at school then added me on Facebook 10 years later is having her second baby this year! She gave birth in early Jan and is apparently due in December. How is that even possible?! Urghhhhhhh.

We're well into the ovulation-zone shagathon. But the first cycle without the coil is weird - I've got a lot less CM, which is good in a way, but I'm worrying about ovulation now, which I never have before. There is some EWCM, just a huge reduction in volume (which is what I expected since there's not a chunk of copper in there irritating the place). App says I'll ovulate tomorrow, but I was expecting today. I usually get some mittelshmertz, but nothing so far.

And I keep finding myself reconsidering the whole #2 thing, just momentarily at times, for social and professional reasons. But it is the right time for our family. (Convincing myself?!)

We've just started so i can't imagine what it must be like to see people around you get pregnant while you're left hanging there! Best thing is to focus on yourself and keep positive - i've always thought i want a strong healthy baby and my mom had a mc between me and my brother so there's a risk.

Easier said then done but my thought are with you.

Indomitable these are the times when it makes everything seems so very real hence why you're reconsidering - putting so much pressure on yourself to decide if it's the right time or not! As you said worth talking to the DH but I think if you have started to take the risk it means you are ready...the rest will follow...

aw sorry pulpi I know how you feel - my Granddad passed in April and I thought similar things and was very disappointed when AF showed her face.

tested this morning - BFN I tried to convince myself I could see a v v faint line but showed it to DP and he quashed that one straight away. temp hasn't dropped yet so maybe at 11dpo its just too early? blargh. I made some banana flapjack last night before bed to use up some horrifically ripe bananas and now eating that in bed with a cup of tea, so life isn't so bad

also indomitable it might just be a one off month rather than coil related? if you had the non-hormonal coil then removal shouldn't affect things like ewcm or ovulation (though I'm no expert). FX for you anyway!

and as for having doubts about #2.. I'm sort of in the same position in that professionally this is a really bad time for me to try for a baby and having almost a year off next year will definitely harm my career (I'm an academic so taking a year off for research is a big deal) and I actually have work commitments already lined up for next year! I've also only just really recovered professionally from my last mat leave which ended a year ago. but oh well! I want a baby and at the moment that's all I'm fixated on haha

I've tested again this morning but nothing. I think last af was 6th june. Ov around 18th supposably and baby dance from 23rd. Period was due 3 days ago but still nothing.

I know of people who had to wait two weeks to have a bfp though. When do you guys would go to the doctor if still no AF and no Bfp ? After two weeks?

my (7 and a half month pregnant) sister is coming to stay for the next couple of days with nephew, so I don't think I will be testing tomorrow, though I may end up caving and testing on Saturday if AF doesn't arrive. I don't actually know how long my LP is though I suspected it was 10 days based on EWCM last two cycles, but this is the first month I've been temping so who knows. I could well not be 'late' yet so AF could show up at any time.

Marmite, i've checked the dates again - AF here tends to be a week (she is a pain in the arse) so it started on 6th june very light until the 10th when for two days non stop dear Auntie is constantly there... i use an app called "Get Baby" lol and it said ovulation day should be on 16th after 10 days AF started. We were not planning to try yet but on the 22 june the app said "maybe baby" so DH said let's do it and we will see. I thought it's too late it probably won't work. But since af is long but my cycle is 24 i'm confused about whether it was too late or not. Should have had af on 29th or 30th june but still nothing.

I guess it all depends on how you calculate the af start date?

Marmite I tested this morning too, AF due Sunday. Bfn for now. Means AF whilst I'm on fieldwork in Paris which is a pain, but planning lots of sex as soon as term ends!!!!

I was due af either yday or today as generally i have a 28 day cycle.. Nothing yet and am cd29. Will test tomorrow if af doesnt show....
