Hi all
I've recently started charting my temp after a two (different length) cycles of ttc. Google suggests normal pre-ov BBT is 36.1-36.4 degrees. I started charting on day 8 of my cycle, and my BBT has been higher than that since (36.6, but as high as 36.8 one day, although I measured an hour later than normal at 7am). Is this kind of pre-ov temperature normal? I am using a digital thermometer accurate to 0.1 degree. Is this accurate enough or should I get a thermometer accurate to 0.01 degrees?
my last cycle was shorter than usual (24 days) and my period was MUCH lighter than usual, but still definitely a period (2 days of light-medium flow then brown spotting for 5 more days), so I suspect I had a shorter than usual luteal phase, but I wasn't actively charting so don't know exactly when I ov. I took a clear blue preg test last Thursday (9 days after unusual period) to check and it was a BFN so def not pregnant.
Anyone have any words of advice? I suspect I am reading too much into a thermometer that isn't precise enough so if I need to get a grip (and a better thermometer) please tell me!
Thanks
