I stopped the inositol as I gained weight like crazy the same time I was on it! I know it's probably not the inositol though, and I still have some left, so I may start it up again. Is everyone on it having good experiences?

I've started temping again. God help me! Grin

PopcornPip · 18/06/2015 21:24

Hey isit well done for sticking to your guns, hope you are feeling better today.
Welcome banana and anyone else I've missed in my hiatus.

AF arrived yesterday so back on it, new cycle. Meh.
Random question, does anything know if endemetriosis is genetic?

Ain626 · 18/06/2015 22:18

Hello banana and Emma

Not really got anything to report here... Still waiting for something... anything... to happen. CD50. My hopes of a less than 50 day cycle have been shattered.

I'm driving myself crazy with pointless symptom spotting.

bananafish81 · 18/06/2015 22:44

Hello all

I'm probably going to regret doing this, as the results will almost certainly depress me, but decided as the scan I had which diagnosed me as PCO (with my lack of periods + acne adding the 'S' bit!) was back in 2010, and there are new technologies that enable better ultrasound scanning, I decided I'd spunk the £200 for a one-stop fertility MOT where they do a full-on ultrasound of the womb and ovaries, to see what's going on.

This is what I'm going for on Thu:

www.createhealth.org/ivf-treatment-services/one-stop-fertility-mot/

I'm assuming the ovaries will still be massively PCO, though I'm obviously secretly hoping a 'normal' looking ovary will magically have appeared with a dominant follicle instead of just a tonne of sleepy ones! I don't know what I'm thinking they'll see, and I'll get scanned on day 10 once I'm on the Clomid, but I guess I want to see what's going on before I start on the pills....though really it's clear I'm just obsessing about PCOS!

susurration · 19/06/2015 09:21

banana thanks for all the links, I will have a read through tonight. That fertility testing looks interesting. Try not to be depressed about it though, see it as an opportunity to base your plans from.

ain Have POAS/ do you think you have ov'ed? its crap when you hit a long cycle isn't it. Lots of sympathy.

AFM: nothing going on. CD14 I think, no sign of anything like a 'normal' cycle for me, as usual.

chandelierswinger · 19/06/2015 18:02

Hi Emma and welcome Smile Weight gain is one of my issues too... I'm trying to do both weight loss and ttc at the same time and fervently wishing I'd made a better attempt at the weight loss first Confused

Sorry AF arrived Popcorn Hope you find some "new cycle, fresh go" positivity soon. I find CD1 a joy of it's been awol or I know it's a BFN, but it does get you down sometimes. By CD3, I'm back in the zone and working out a BD plan!!! Romance is not dead here Wink

ain Sympathy for another 50+er Did you OV this month do you think?

banana Test looks good to me. Might think about it when (if?!?!) I get to the six months ttc stage, along with heading back to my GP. I took SI this month on CD3-7 and had God awful ovary twinges (stabbing!) on CD6&7, so fingers x'd it was something good and big just a whole host of flipping cysts!! My dosage is in the stats sheet. Did a lot of reading about it to try to get timing and dosage right, but nit expecting a miracle to occur first month. I wouldn't mind one though Wink

ponty inositol is on my list for next month, if this little concoction doesn't work... A few people take it though, I think.

AFM: TMI ALERT lots more cm already this month!!! Genuinely quite surprised by it; EPO obvs doing its thing -ve opks so far, but still only CD11, so early days really. Got my PILs and SIL over at the weekend so need to hide all my pots of 'erbs and vits to avoid any questions!

chandelierswinger · 19/06/2015 18:06

What's with all my typos?! Must use preview next time...

a joy if it's been AWOL

and not just a whole host of flipping cysts... not expecting a miracle

Shellbell0403 · 19/06/2015 22:50

Chandeliers I'm struggling with the weight gain issue!! Trying hard to lose before my app next week!!

It's scunnering!! How you doing? Xx

StarDustS · 20/06/2015 00:04

Hi ladies... Mind if I join :)

my stats: 26, TTC#1,2 years, no period since 19 April so currently day 62 and counting!

diagnosed with PCOS when I was 18 now finally been referred to fertility clinic by GP hope it can help as feeling quite depressed now...have my HSG on 23 June and I'm scared... Anyone had this? How is it?

Love Star x

StarDustS · 20/06/2015 00:05

Sorry incorrect age I'm 29! Not 26 :)

PontyGirl · 20/06/2015 09:25

hello newbies Smile Brew

I'm thinking already that temping (again) was a shit idea... so far I've had a reading or 36.3, then 36.2 and now this morning 36.7. unless I miraculously ovulated yesterday (which I feel is mega unlikely - I actually felt like I was going to come on yesterday - crampy, being a furious bitch etc) then it's just going to be a rocky mountain situation. it worked so well for me when I conceived dd though.

for the record, this is cd35 which is not a hideous number, though I doubt AF is coming anytime soon!

hope everyone is okay Brew Thanks

Pebbles086 · 20/06/2015 12:49

chand I hope the SI has worked for you, at least your really good and spotting all the signs our ladie bits give us.
pont I take my hat off to you, I have read about temping, sounds really complicated!! Wouldn't workfor me like cos I don't get AF!! Good luck with it xxx
Welcome stardust I am having a laproscopy and dye next week! I am really scared of having it done under GA and the pain afterwards. I'll have stitches in my belly button Shock
Your HSG shouldn't be too bad, seen comments on here about them and no one mentioned it was painful. Good luck with it and I hope all is ok. Hopefully your another step closer to getting some meds to get the ball rolling xxx

Ginfizz90 · 20/06/2015 13:14

Hi everyone sorry I've been quiet lately! Hello & welcome to all the. Ew ladiesSmile
Soo... Been taking met for about a month now and had some good results. Natural AF with a 34 day cycle.
Seem To have all the ov signs around cd 20. I know that's very late on. Does anybody else have such late ovulation? I'm worried it's not normal!Perhaps I'm not oving at all

PontyGirl · 20/06/2015 16:18

gin that actually seems sort of perfect if you're oving on cd20 and having a period on cd34, that's a 14 day luteal phase Smile fwiw, the month I conceived my dd I ovd on cd38!

RoseBud2015 · 21/06/2015 09:59

Pebbles How did your pre-op go on Thursday? Glad to hear you have your lap and dye booked in now! Try not to worry..... I know it's hard but the discomfort/worry will be worth it in the end! Smile

Ain Sorry to hear you are having another long cycle! Is it worth exploring clomid with your doctor? A combination of metformin and clomid regulates some women's cycles.

Chandeliers That's interesting to hear about the EPO. I've heard mixed reviews about it before- you definitely think it's having a positive impact on you? What dose are you taking an when? You hiding all of your drugs from your visitors, sounds like me having to hide all of my ttc paraphernalia from my SDDs! They have already asked "whats that thing by your bed"....... it's a thermometer..... "why do you need a thermometer"..... because I was feeling poorly last night Hmm

Welcome Star! Ha at trying to sneakily knock 3 years off of your age Wink Are you taking any meds to try to help with ttc at all?

Ponty Don't give up on the temping yet! Too soon! Give it an entire cycle and see how you feel after that. You never know, it may start to show some sort of pattern if you keep going with it... it really is the only way (apart from a blood test) to be sure whether you are ov'ing or not, and when! Mine look like mountain ranges too but I'm hoping to see a change when/if my body ever decides to ov..... ever!!!!!

Gin As Ponty said ov'ing on cd20 would give you a perfect 14 day luteal phase so it sounds like you did ov then!!! Woop! What signs did you have that made you think it happened on cd20?

As for me, CD9 for me and again I don't have any side effects to make me think that 100mg clomid is working! I have a follicle tracking scan on Tuesday but I'm not holding out much hope.

Mistletoe Hows the 100mg clomid gone for you? Vixx How far away from starting 100mg are you now? x

PontyGirl · 21/06/2015 10:11

thanks rosebud! fingers crossed we ovulate this month is that too much to ask Grin

PontyGirl · 21/06/2015 10:11

I don't even know why I say "this month" when my cycles are anything up to 90 days long Grin

Ginfizz90 · 21/06/2015 11:41

Well if I do get another 34 day cycle I found that around cd 19/20 lots of cramps, a pulling/dragging/aching sensation. Also a few sharp twinges in ovary area and almost a burning feeling every now and then. I had exactly the same feelings last month too. Cm very watery & milky haven't had any ewcm though so could just be body getting ready for AF. It's the second time since being off the pill for almost a year that I've had any of this! I think it's down to the met

Cobblestones · 21/06/2015 14:40

Girls - apologies for being awol and this me post but I just saw this on an opk. Do u think it counts as a positive? I'm cd 14 second round clomid. Have been testing for last 6 days and it's always White on the test side

TTC with PCOS (Thread #2)
Ginfizz90 · 21/06/2015 16:27

I would say negative but prehaps in a few days it will be positive. It has to be the same colour or darker than the other line

Ain626 · 21/06/2015 22:40

cobble I would say thats negative, but hopefully will be positive soon. As Gin says, the other line has to be the same colour or darker than the control line to be a positive on an OPK.

Hello stardust

Thankyou for kind words Chandelier and Rosebud.

I have my appointment with the gynea coming up on Friday. I know I will get flustered/forget what to ask so I need to write down what I want to ask. Any ideas on what I should ask about? Quick summary - It's now been almost 11 months of TTC. I've been diagnosed with PCOS. I am overweight - trying to lose weight. Have lost around 20lbs from my highest weight, but still a way to go (lost the first 15lbs or so relatively quickly, have since been trying, but nothing really seems to be working). In the past 11 months I have had ONE bleed that lasted about a day. 2 and a half days if you include spotting. I am on Metformin, not convinced it's really doing anything. It doesn't seem to have helped/made any difference to anything on a 1500mg dose which I've been taking for around 7 months now...

I think I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed by everything now that I don't actually know what I want to say at my appointment. If only there was some sort of magic wand that the doctor could wave and give us all nice normal cycles...

PontyGirl · 22/06/2015 10:11

ain I think writing everything and anything down is a really good idea. Just jot anything down that comes to mind and make a more coherent list later in the week. It's been a long time for you and you deserve to get the very best out of every appointment you have. I completely sympathise with the weight loss or lack thereof, I'm struggling too and losing it very very slowly. I am convinced it will help though.

maybe it would be good for you to do something fun this week, take your mind off things? the cinema or something, just anything to take your mind off things. Brew and Thanks

DrewOB · 22/06/2015 11:31

Morning all,
I feel much better now that notice is handed in, and back on BC for a while.

mistletoeprickles · 22/06/2015 14:24

Hi everyone

Sorry I've not been around. I've had to try my best to keep ttc out my head as think i might of just continuously cried. A chemical pregnacy and straight on to clomid is hard emotionally.

I took clomid (100mg) as planned and I'm now on cd15 and have today started on the OPKS and the line is pretty much mimicking cd11 last month so looking on schedule to ovulate around cd14/15. Well fingers crossed

Cobblestones · 22/06/2015 14:44

ain gin thanks for the response.. I hope I do see a positive soon..

Ain I agree you should write what ever comes to mind. I asked all kinds of questions at my first appointment. Including any silly things people would pass on to me in terms of advice.

mistletoe I hope it gets easier on u. It's so difficult to keep the mind preoccupied and away from from thinking about ttc. Flowers
