Hi Ladies,

I had my 10 week scan today and Panorama test. This is my little bean. Fingers crossed for you all getting BFPs soon. For those of you that have joined recently this is a Clomid baby.

Congrats Rufus so nice to have success stories! Helps keep the faith.

Got my follical tracking scan on Monday feeling nervous as nothing on the last one and highest dosage before moving towards injections now.

Has anyone had the clomid injections? Did you respond differently?

chandelierswinger · 14/07/2015 21:51

That's such a cool pic Rufus! Huge congrats. Hope you're feeling well and all is okay Smile

CD36... Nothing happening Sad

battenberg123 · 15/07/2015 09:47

wooooohoooooooooooooooooooooooo Lizzy - congratulations! This is such good news, new house - new husband - new baby haha!

And congrats Rufus that's one healthy looking baby right there!

I'm also being very lazy, I can't bring myself to exercise at the moment just moping about! Been looking into a private hsg as my doctor won't do it for another 3 months Hmm

soontobemrslizzy · 15/07/2015 11:20

I know, it all happened at once! We are going on honeymoon to Mauritius for approx weeks 8-10. I'm a little panicked but hopefully should be OK? What do you ladies think?

battenberg123 · 15/07/2015 11:24

I think you'll be fine, a friend of mine travelled from India to the UK and baby was fine. As long as you get up and walk around a few times during the flight I think to prevent dvt you'll be grand!

AbFab86 · 15/07/2015 12:00

Hi ladies! Sorry I've been quiet recently. Back in the UK for the summer and am soaking up all the Englishness I can Grin

mrslizzy congratulations!!! You'll be fine flying. I flew just over a week ago at 7 and a bit weeks and will be flying back to Dubai at 15 weeks. I made sure I walked around every hour. The morning sickness on a flight wasn't great but you may be lucky and avoid it. Be very careful about what you eat there though.

Rufus great scan pic! I'm following all your updates on the other thread but I'm thinking of staying away from that one. Sod's law I'd get pregnant at the same time as the one person on the boards that I try to avoid!

I hope everyone else is doing well. I have high hopes for you guys! It's the hardest struggle but you will ALL get your perfect babies in the end.

I have a private scan booked for Friday just for reassurance (although if morning sickness is anything to go by, little bean is growing just fine!). I've been to see the local midwife today and she says I will be monitored very closely in the few weeks I'm here because of my diabetes. I love the NHS! Gutted I won't be here when I (hopefully!) have my baby. I am 9 weeks today.

Rufus200 · 15/07/2015 12:40

Lizzy Big Congrats! You should be fine travelling but I would make up a MS kit to take with you that has enough in it to last the whole holiday. I have one permanently in my handbag with mints, nausea bands, sick bag, bottle of water and anti nausea meds! I do find that heat makes my nausea worse. I got my Dr to give me meds for travelling incase I couldn't get on the flight back home but haven't used them yet. I was abroad for wk 5-6 and it was when my nausea started.

AbFab OMG it kicked off on the Feb board today! It isn't nice to read people using such abusive language at each other!!!

soontobemrslizzy · 15/07/2015 12:55

Abfab and Rufus, thanks. I was more worried about the medical facilities as a precaution and having to get the hep a vaccine. With the food, aside from the obvious stuff to avoid, anything particular I should look out for? We are staying in an all inclusive resort so will mainly be eating there.

Rufus200 · 15/07/2015 13:12

Lizzy be really careful with eggs over there! Both my mum and I got salmonella from freshly made scrambled eggs in the Maldives and I would assume Mauritius would use similar food suppliers. Outside the UK you have no guarantee that chickens are vaccinated! It was the worst food poisoning either of us have ever had. Don't want to scare you but most people think eggs are safe abroad. Just make sure everything is well cooked, smells ok and hasn't been sat out for long!

AbFab86 · 15/07/2015 13:12

Rufus it's funny how it always kicks off when a certain person is about on any thread isn't it?!

lizzy I'm sure you will be fine if you are eating at your resort. I'd avoid street vendors and outside restaurants if you can, but fill your boots at the hotel Smile

soontobemrslizzy · 15/07/2015 13:31

Thanks for the tips ladies. Rufus, I would not have known about eggs, thanks!

AbFab86 · 15/07/2015 14:04

Ah yes I'd forgotten about the eggs. I don't trust the eggs in Dubai so I'm eating them at every opportunity while I'm in the UK!

mistletoeprickles · 15/07/2015 14:37

Hey everyone.

Sorry I haven't been around much, life is just nuts at the moment.

I will have catch up with everyone shortly.

Ab glad your doing well and sound like the bean is doing good too.

AF arrived today, 4 days late the bastard. So tomorrow will be the start of the third cycle of 100 mg of clomid. The consultant has given me another 4 cycles. DP has been issued orders as my body is doing what it needs to now so it's his turn.
Also when I saw the consultant he said to me there is a plan b on the nhs, what the plan b is I'm yet to discover but if I'm not pregnant by November plan b will begin.

Catch up more later

PontyGirl · 15/07/2015 15:10

mistletoe I am v intrigued about the plan b, but I'm hoping you don't get that far for us to find out what it is. Fx that clomid does its thing, and soon!

bananafish81 · 15/07/2015 15:30

Fx Mistletoe! Could plan B be injectables or ovarian drilling? My consultant said if I didn't respond to Clomid, then FSH injections would be the next step, and possibly ovarian drilling. I think on the NHS it depends on your trust - not everywhere offers injectables after Clomid but before IVF. I'm curious too! Smile

mistletoeprickles · 15/07/2015 16:27

He didn't give me any clues and I was hyped up on him saying the was a plan b I just didn't think to ask questions.

banana I have responded to the clomid and I'm ovulating on 100mg just not pregnant as yet. So drilling wouldn't be needed Smile Smile

PontyGirl · 15/07/2015 18:02

I really hope we're all pregnant by November. I need to have sex tonight but sometimes it's hard to summon the energy Grin

battenberg123 · 15/07/2015 18:39

I know the feeling Ponty! A few more positives before November would be great!

AbFab86 · 15/07/2015 19:03

Maybe plan b is IUI? When I started on the clomid my doctor said if I wasn't pregnant within 6 months we'd do that. If you're bits are doing their job but your DH's swimmers aren't taking it seriously then getting the best ones and doing the journey for them should really boost your chances! But I do hope that's unnecessary and this cycle is your cycle Smile

mistletoeprickles · 15/07/2015 23:07

I think we'll have to guess amongst ourselves and hope we never find out what plan b is Grin

Although I think we can rule out IUI as he said it was available on the NHS and having already got DD I couldn't have IUI without cost to me. Maybe it's some magical drug we don't know about and hopefully we'll never find out either Grin

As for sex we've just the conversation as to when we'll need too! Got to love ttc!!
