Can you have implantation and then get your period in the same cycle?

So sorry if this is a very stupid question! From 9 -12 dpo I had spotting and almost constant abdominal cramping. I have never had this before ever. Today, at 14 dpo my period feels like its on its way and all pregnancies tests have been completely negative. Can you have an implantation that fails and then you get your period as normal?

Hello, I have a similar question....I'm due a period in five days, had really light, brown spotting today. Just done a pregnancy test, which I know is too early and it's negative.

I don't really know much about implantation, but just researched it and now hoping that's what it is.

Helloall - you have time yet though. It is quite early. The reason I am asking is because I chart my temperature and it has gone done a lot, looks just like I am getting my period. Not a pregnancy-looking chart at all and Im getting the beginnings of my period I think today.

I had an ectopic recently so perhaps it's something to do with that as didn't have implantation bleeding before prior to that pregnancy, but I have had two regular periods since.

It's all so confusing.

Yes unfortunately. Happened to me last month. Had perfect textbooks implantation bleed 9&10dpo with bbt dip and then nothing until AF showed up 15dpo :-(
