Only upped the dose of vitamin B complex at lunchtime and omg the fluorescent wee is even more fluorescent that when I was on pregnacare.

Lovelyjubbly95 · 14/06/2015 20:16

About the b6 thing... Ive started taking b6 but jst what i bought from supermarket so only 25mg. Do i dbl up and then if i find out im preg then up to 100? Confused.

doomkittycleo · 14/06/2015 20:38

It seems most people are on 50-100mg of b complex. I think you're supposed to wean yourself off it gradually after you get your bfp but not abruptly cus it can cause a sudden drop in progesterone and lead to a miscarriage.

It's supposed to lengthen leutal phase.

I've just upped the dose today from 20mg since Tuesday to 100 today and hence fluorescent yellow wee. I'm 6dpo so not sure if it's too late to make a difference.

haquoi123 · 14/06/2015 20:57

Oh diamond I'm sorry. Be kind to yourself, I really really wish you all the best xx

finding when do you find out how this cycle goes?

Seems like I should get some b6 if I am unlucky this month

findingmyfeet12 · 14/06/2015 21:20

AF isn't due until the 29th Haquoi. We're trying to dtd as often as possible but it makes it into a bit of a chore.

Hope you're feeling ok?

Lovelyjubbly95 · 14/06/2015 21:25

Well ive taken 25mg once a day for last few days, have hit high today so will up to 50mg and then maybe do 100mg when i hit peak? And keep it at that until bfp? If i get that then wean down gradually??x

doomkittycleo · 14/06/2015 21:30

Yeah, that's what I've read. They don't recommend you stay on high doses for a long time. Maybe keep it at lower dose before ovulation and high after. Unless you get your bfp of course.

Baby dust!!!

birchygoo · 14/06/2015 22:17

Is b6 only useful if you have a short lp?

Also does your body not just excrete excess vitamins/minerals (hence pee colour)

Sorry just having this debate with dh.

doomkittycleo · 14/06/2015 22:21

The colour is due to the b2, but yes you will wee out the excess. If you have large amounts for a long time it can cause nerve problems though.

I did read somewhere that prolonged BC use depletes supplies of vitamin b6 so maybe that's why it helps. Dunno if that's right or not tho.

birchygoo · 14/06/2015 23:18

Is it also for progesterone levels?

Sorry new to all these vitamins/minerals - just take the pregnacare normal ones that GP recommended

fuzzywuzzy · 15/06/2015 06:56

Vitamin B6 is meant to balance hormones, so should help if your progesterone levels are low (think zinc does too).

birchygoo · 15/06/2015 10:32

ah Ok so if my hormone levels all came back from GP as normal I shouldnt need to take any ..

Does anyone know how long it takes for sa results?

fuzzywuzzy · 15/06/2015 11:11

if your hormone results are normal I wouldn't take it.

Mostly people take Vitamin B6 to prolong luteal phase, if your luteal phase is 10 days or longer it is within the 'normal' range (whatever normal means), if your luteal phase is shorter than 10 days its too short for effective implantation to occur.

You know your body best, some people take vitamin B complex to alleviate PMS symptoms. As doom said tho, be really careful if your taking it and fall pregnant come off the vitamin slowly or discuss it with your GP first.

Lovelyjubbly95 · 15/06/2015 11:16

Probably tmi but as ive said previously i havent hit my peak yet am just high for past two days but today ive wiped and noticed a clear really sticky mucus tinged with brownish blood. That normal??!! Have been busy bding all wkend lol ????

Rememberallball · 15/06/2015 11:27

Huge congrats to you Mayo, this thread certainly seems to be spawning bfp's!!

We are now in our tww and I'm desperately praying that my body has behaved and I do/have ov'd this month - opks definitely positive saturday and yesterday but much feinter line today (will test again later on as I know levels go up during the day). We've done very well with SMEP and managed to dtd plenty this weekend and a few days before. Got to book in for blood test at GP next week for d21 progesterone level as 2 of last 3 months its been so low it appears I've not ov'd. Still waiting to get referral to hospital gynae team.

Rememberallball · 15/06/2015 11:31

Birchy, dp handed in his SA sample on the Friday morning and was told by the lab it would take 3-4 working days for GP to get results. We rang the surgery on the Wednesday afternoon and they'd received the results but we'd need to see GP for results - which were very good!!

doomkittycleo · 15/06/2015 17:43

So I'm 7dpo and symptom spotting like mad (or at least trying to) but absolutely no symptoms. Bored of all these 2ww's now.

fuzzywuzzy · 15/06/2015 18:57

Doom, good luck. The tww makes me a crazy person.

Red193 · 15/06/2015 21:55

So for the last 3 days me and DH or both of us have seen 3 magpies!!

doomkittycleo · 15/06/2015 22:09

I have been magpie spotting too Red. How you holding up. I'm trying to keep busy but bored stiff. Go away Friday, the house is tidy, my packing is done and I have loads on in work so shouldn't have time to be bored.

Red193 · 16/06/2015 06:28

I'm doing ok thanks doom. Frustrated my ovulation day shifted and pushed me back because now I think the chances of getting an answer before my birthday are slim and I really don't want a negative on my birthday!

We've been chatting baby names so I hope the magpies are correct because we cannot agree on boys names at all!

How is everyone?

It's been very quiet on this message board the past couple of days. Where has everyone been?

findingmyfeet12 · 16/06/2015 19:21

Hello everyone. Hope you're all in good spirits.

I've been really busy at work which is why I've been a bit quiet.

I'm cd19 at the moment. I had some mild cramping a couple of days ago that I though might be ovulation but no other signs.
