Pregnant after miscarriage - need support

Hi everyone

We lost our first baby in September and now I am pregnant again, I know we are very lucky to have got pregnant again so quickly but I am terrified.

I don't feel pregnant and I didn't last time either. I'm 5 weeks pregnant. I know there is nothing I can physically do to make sure this baby makes it.

I've had backache for about 10 days which is how my miscarriage started last time. Other than that I have no early pregnancy symptoms.

Anyone else had similar experience?

First off CONGRATULATIONS...

I don't suppose that there is anything I can say to make the worry go but you have to try and just take your mind of the pregnacy.

I hated that feeling. I have not had any viable pregnancies and have been thru m/c too many times.

Waiting was awful for me. Tha's because deep down I beleived there was a more serious problem.
Please feel reassured. I have been on mn for over 2 years and I am probably the only one still without a baby f my own. I don't want you to feel sorry for me. I have met so many lovely and kind women on here that have helped me thru all of my m/c's. What I am trying to say is that there is a very strong liklehood that you and your beanie will be fine. Major problems are not that common.

Try and relax and make a consciuos effort to enjoy the pregnancy.

Just wanted to say congratulations on the pregnancy. It's natural to be worried. I had a mc in August but it was my second pregnancy have a ds aged 3. Backache is a common pregnancy symptom so try not to worry too much you may be able to ask your dr for a referral to an epu for an early scan for reassurance.

Congratulations on the new pregnancy - but very sorry to hear about the miscarriage. It is really hard to believe in a pregnancy once you've miscarried, isn't it.

But do come and join us over here which is the pregnancy after miscarriage thread - you'll find loads of different people at all kinds of stages of worry, but everyone knows exactly what you're feeling and going through.

Put my message on a couple of threads and have recieved lots of wonderful advice already.

Have started looking at the other threads but need to have a day off work to start reading them all! It's good and comforting to find people who have experience and that we can support each other.
