Pregnant or evap line??

So 4 weeks ago i went through a miscarriage, but now i think im pregnant again..i have morning sickness & sore boobs. I got told to do a test this morning (by the nurse) & let them know the results. Well it came up negative but she seems to think my symptoms mean start of a new pregnancy although she said it is still possible for me to sadly come on my period. So put my test in my bag & that was that. However when i got the test out of my bag to show my mum there was definitely a noticeable second blue line!! Trouble is..im not sure how long it took for the line to come up, but its 100% there now. Im still unsure if i am pregnant or if its just my body messing with me. Can anyone shed any light??

Just looked through my other tests (iv kept them all lol) & on my one i done before this one there is also a line..though it is the type of line u have to hold up in the light & squint to see..it is there!!! What does this mean? Talk about emotional rollercoaster :(!!!

Well I can definitely see a line, not heard of evaporation lines though? Any of my negative tests stayed blank where the longed for line should have appeared. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you, how about another test in the morning and let us know?

Thank you, i really am hoping. The wanting of being a mum is unbearable, the nurse did advise to do a test in 2-3 weeks but dont think i can wait that long!!

Ah bugger 2-3 week time, try not to drink too much tonight so you get through the night with no weeing, then test first thing in the morning and come straight on here with pictures!!!!!

That longing is awful isn't it, really hoping it's good news.

So this morning didn't go to plan, woke up suuuper late so could not physically fit in the time! Just wondering if I got a first response (super drugs own maybe) would it show no matter what time of day? The waiting is killing me!

First Response is a good idea. But... Evap lines tend to be grey, and that's definitely blue!

Going to try first response in the morning. Does anybody know when a period SHOULD return after a miscarriage? I just dont know if im testing way too early or if im pregnant at all! Boobs are still sore, sickness is definitely still here, heart burn, tiredness the lot! just hoping its not my body messing me about :(

Iv heard blue dye tests are known for giving a blue evap line after so long. I just really dont know when im next due on so no clue when to test! Going to try first response in the morning & if its a BFN going to try again in a weeks time because my symptoms are so clear!!

So done a first response & same thing happened, a line came up after the 3 minutes, id it took 7-9 minutes to come up. Iv tried taking a picture to show you all but its faint so cant see it properly :( dont know whats going on!

Shannon - did you test negative before you started getting your faint positives post-MC? It can take 6 weeks for a negative test post MC so unless you tested after the MC and got a clear negative I would say that could be left over hormone.

If this is the first time you've tested post MC then the best plan is to keep testing and see if the line gets darker.

I wouldn't assume pregnancy just yet :( blue dye tests are more difficult for evaps than pink dye tests. Can you get a few cheapies from the pound shop/wilkos/home bargains? Iirc they are pink dye dip strip lines and very sensitive.

Yes i had more than 1 negative after my MC..im going to give it a couple days now & try testing again. If still no sign of period in 2 weeks then will be going to see GP :) just hoping i get a definite answer within a couple days! Thanks ladies xx

Anybody think i should try another test in the morning? My amazing supportive boyfriend thinks im being super impatient but i just cant help it! Feel like im testing every day & praying for 2 lines. I rechecked all my dates & its actually nearing 6 weeks since MC not 4..when can i expect to see period return? Am i pregnant? Am i not? So many questions with so little answers!! Iv got 1 first response test left & a few cheapie dip strips. Arghhh what to do!!?

Test in the morning with the cheapies if they are pink dye. Then post here.
Really hope you are pregnant. I've heard that fertility is increased shortly after pregnancy.

6 weeks is about the time I would expect a period to start, so ovulation after 4 weeks.

They are pink dye, im just hoping im either pregnant or coming on within a few days so i can start again. I am SO ready to become a mum its unreal!! I feel like im beginning to see 2 lines on every test because thats all i want to see lol!

Anyone else got any advice???

Hi Shannon. Could it be that you still have the hormone from the last PG? I was advised not to test for a month. I hope I'm wrong. I had a MC last year. I know how you feel You never think it's going to happen to you. It has taken me a year to properly start trying (originally weren't TTC)

I done several tests after MC which all came up a fat bold BFN before finishing my wee (sorry for tmi) so 100% know its not from that. Nurse seems to think im EXTREMELY early, so early that i can still expect to see AF. She said my body is cruel as i get strong symptoms so early on. So where as some women never know, i will always know, every time. Not fair really but hoping this is the real deal!

yep a line came up at 8 minutes so im done now until saturday! Will then be nearing 7 weeks since MC & if no AF by next weds a trip to my gp will be needed!
