After months of blood tests & a scan, my GP told me today that I have polycystic ovaries.

Weight could be a factor - currently losing weight through the juice plus weight loss plan. Just hit 2 stone Mark

I've been referred to gynae (think that's what she said) as a next step!

Just feel pretty deflated by it all :(

Please can you share some success stories if you Polycystic ovaries

Yes! I have had PCOS all my adult life and I have 4 kids. 2 completely naturally, one with the help of Clomid (although it was coming off Clomid that got me pg) and one with metformin. There is hope!

Thank you :)

Still reading up on it & trying to digest it all. Think I need to go back and see my GP to ask questions

I have pcos too. Have 1 do who is 2.8. Currently ttc no 2.
When trying for dd I fell pregnant after about 5 months and on 3rd cycle (ie only had two periods between stopping pill and bfp). I had been on metformin for about 8-18-10 weeks when I fell pregnant.

Make a note of all your questions but it might be better to direct them to gynae instead of Gp. To be honest most of what I know about pcos I have learnt from researching on the Internet or just randomly (eg from optician, who also has pcos)

I'm happy to try and answer any questions you might have Smile
btw I'm thinking about starting juice plus. Woman at work has lost 3st so far.....I could definitely do with losing 3st (and more!!). Congratulations on your weight loss so far - that will Def help with the pcos symptomsGrin

I have PCOS.

I got pregnant last year in February (first try) sadly, we lost that baby.

I got pregnant again in September (again first try) and I'm expecting this baby next weekend.

Sorry, I forgot to say well done on the weight loss!

I have pco, hormones off and cysts on the ovaries. I have regular periods and got pregnant very easily.

I have been recently diagnosed too, however only one ovary appears polycystic and the other is fine? Not sure what's going on really! Also have high prolactin and low progesterone?

Well done on losing 2 stone, that's amazing!

Thank you everyone! Heads a bit clearer today, done some more research, started a list of questions.
