just looking for a bit of guidance from someone who knows more about this stuff than me.. I have a long cycle and was due to ovulate around the 20th May.

We dtd on the 10,16,17th of May. but I got a positive test (quite dark etc) on the 20th and sore boob's since the 16th.

so what's going on or when do you think I'm due? I didn't seem to have any two week wait.

Is it possible that you were already pregnant from the previous month?
How was your last period?

Or you had an earlier ovulation.

Agree with PP.

  • It's likely that you ovulated earlier than you thought
  • you got pregnant last cycle
  • you're pregnant with twins

Take a CB digi with the weeks indicator.

thanks all. I did a xb digi and it came back 2 to 3 weeks. I'm none the wiser!

Do check it out with doctor, though. If you think there is no way you could be pregnant at this time, it could be a false positive with other causes.

But, fingers crossed, congratulations? :)

2-3 weeks means 2-3 weeks of HCG in your system (assuming you aren't pregnant with twins or have higher than the average hcg production) which is only produced after implantation. Implantation takes about 7-10 days from ovulation so given you implanted 2-3 weeks ago, I'd say you ovulated about a month ago.

So, prior to the 10th, when did you last DTD? When was your LMP?

In doctors terms you're about 4-5 weeks pregnant. Congrats!!
