Hello everyone,
I just wondered if anyone could give me some advice please.
I had my implant romoved in April, the same day AF started which lasted 7 days. I believe I got a positibe OPK on the 6th May. I am now 14DPO. I have taken numerous pregnancy tests all are negative. Yesterday my cervic was high and soft so I took an OPK which was positive but AF is due today and hasn't showed her ugly face yet. I am a little confused. Any suggestions. TIA x

Hi,
I read somewhere that a positive OPK can mean pregnancy so definitely worth another test!
Or you might have geared up to ovulate before & it not happened, hence next positive opk.
Good luck!

On my first cycle after having my Mirena removed I was a little bit clueless and guessed when my period would be due based on previous cycles. In the week leading up to this date I was POAS daily and always getting negatives. On that day AF was due there was no sign and as I had no PG tests in the house and I was addicted to peeing on sticks I peed on an OPK just for something to do as I'd never used them before and was just curious how they worked.

After POAS it came out as a really strong positive and I couldn't understand why my body was ovulating when I was expecting my period. I posted on MN about it and someone told me that really strong positives on OPKS around the time AF is expected can mean you are pregnant as the pregnancy and ovulating hormones are very similar and OPKs can detect both.

I immediately ran to my local shop and bought two proper brand of PG tests and they both came back as definite BFPs Smile

Oh really. This was the result of the OPK. AF still hasn't come. I am going to try and get a test tonight. Thank you ??

Can anyone offer any advice please?

The digital tests are renowned for not being very sensitive and are usually the last tests to actually predict a pregnancy.

Perhaps try again with a FRER (fast response, early result) as they are usually the best ones to use.

*detect a pregnancy, not predict one Smile

Digital tests always have two lines, don't ever bother taking one apart, it doesn't tell you anything, and they are the least sensitive too. Hope you see a positive on your next test later.
