ttc while breastfeeding

Hello ladies
Im currently breastfeeding my DD of 4 months and my period still hasnt returned. Me and DP have had unprotected sex a few times and im wondering if theres any chance i could get pregnant?

Yes there is, because in order for your period to return you will ovulate 10-14 days before it. You won't know when that will be!
I fell pregnant (we were actively trying, using opks) while exclusively bf'ing a 5 month old and before periods had returned.

I got pregnant with DC2 when DC1 was six months old and still breastfeeding. We were happy to conceive again because we were happy to have a small age gap. It took me a bit by surprise though as it had taken a year to get pregnant with DC1.

Yes. Possible. I wish it happened with us (so am very jealous of the above posters! )but for what it's worth the balance is heavily swung towards not getting pregnant while still breastfeeding. So for every person who falls pregnant straight off while be-inf there are nine others who won't be able to. Nature sort of made it that way.

Ovulation predictor kits ic opks are 'internet cheapies' - you can buy a pack of 20 on amazon for less than £3

my son is over a year old and took ages for my periods to return i still dont ovulate regular and still trying to get pregnant its been 8 months off ttc its hard :(
