Period cramps for a week - no period!!

Hi all. TTC for 5 months now. My periods have been regular on 28 day cycle except for last month it was a day early. I always get period pains for a whole week before I start my period. So I started getting period pains last weekend, it's now day 30 and no period. I havnt taken a test because since day 27 it has felt like it's going to come any second. I have been feeling nausous for 2 weeks like travel sickness and I have been to the drs about it who have given me medication but told me not to take them until I start bleeding. I know the odds are low that I am pregnant and that feeling sick due to pregnancy doesn't happen straight away but just wandered if anyone has ever had anything similar? It's so frustrating! If AF is going to show up I wish she would hurry up!

I had cramping and kept thinking my period was coming before I got my BFP.

I don't see why you think the odds are low either.

I've had this with both my pregnancies. I would do a test.

I had this and then thought my period just hasn't decided to show. We had been ttc for ages and ages so had given up hope for that. It wasn't until I nearly threw up in the supermarket another 3 weeks later that I twigged and poas. My DS is now almost 2! Good luck

I was convinced I was going to come on boobs bigger.. thoguth not buying bigger bra will shrink as soon as come on took test and went out and bought new bra that day.

well it doesn't have to be frustrating, does it? You can just go and buy a cheapo test from somewhere like home bargains. I did that and there was a faint line on there around the same time as you're at. A few days later I did another one (clear blue) with strong line on. No harm doing it and your frustration would be gone!

HRMC87 you're late now, take a test! fingers crossed for a BFP, good luck! I'm CD9 and also have had the feeling that AF is just about to come for the last three days now, but I only had cramps for a few hours early morning of CD7 then they kind of tailed off over the course of the next day or so. The feeling that AF is imminent has stayed though. So will have to wait and see a while longer yet.

^^thats meant to say DPO9 and DPO7 not CD!!

Violet, what is CD99 etc? I always thought it referred to Calendar Day 9 with CD1 being the first day of your period. Therefore ovulation occurs about CD 14 (for a 28 day cycle).

Or at least it was when I was trying for my kids.

I am at work now and I have a test at home so I will take it. I am being a bit negative about it aren't I really, trying not to get my hopes up I suppose. I will do it when i get home. :)

I mistook pregnancy symptoms for my period both times. I even got spotting first time round (normally spot before my periods). Was convinced I wasn't pregnant. Dd is now 3!

Bums! Negative! But il do another if it hasn't come in a few days. It's never late!!

My period is 26 days late and still getting BFNs. So frustrating. Good luck to you though!

sorry its negative, but give it a couple more days. May just be the hormones levels need a bit longer to build up yet. F'xd for you.

Was it eventually a bfp? I know it’s long ago.
