I missed about your job pulpi congrats :)

That's really interesting about the two lots of smilies teenie goes to show don't stop DTD when you see a smiley just keep going just in case, really pleased for you.

DizzyMerry · 19/05/2015 23:03

I went for acupuncture today and the lady was really knowledgeable. She also has endo and told me it's actually an autoimmune disease. She advised I start taking omega 3 6 9 and continue with the conception vits and coenzyme q10. She advised that DH should take male conception vits, which he is doing as well as q10. Also she suggested I have a lap and dye to check my tubes and said the NHS should provide this as it's a diagnostic test. I only need to see her twice a month pre and post ov. Feeling much more positive now

pulpi · 20/05/2015 07:28

Congrats teenie! So happy for you!

Very chuffed about the job news. Can now truly relax. Not entirely sure when I start as I'll be moving to a different part of the same library. It's up to the bosses to decide if I do two part-time jobs (my current job is only part-time), or if I wait for the month and start the new full time job then. Either way, I'm on annual leave the week after next, so all my thoughts are on sun, sand, and ttc.

Brooke113 · 20/05/2015 07:42

Wow dizzy she does sound v.knowledgeable. I've always been sort of freaked out by acupuncture, but want to try it at the same time :)

autonomousplum · 20/05/2015 07:54

Welcome newbies and congrats to teenie and pulpi.
Someone wanted to know something about luteal phases and soy and b6. I await orders. Wink

wishiwaspregnant · 20/05/2015 08:01

Hey auto it was me!
I just noticed on my first time charting that I OV late then my luteal phase was only 10 days with spotting before AF. So I've read this is not good. I've therefore researched and found that to bring OV forward and lengthen LP I need to take vit B6 and B complex. I'm also trying a low dose of agnus castus and throwing in oil of evening primrose for good measure! I've read that the B6 should be 100-200mg daily. However I'm starting this month with 50mg. Do you take sups? Any advice? I've not heard of soya... Do u mean the food products like soya milk?

KleineDracheKokosnuss · 20/05/2015 08:35

Hi carlton, my first is 2.5. I decided that it was time to see if there's any chance of a sibling for her...

TeenieDeenie · 20/05/2015 08:59

Thank you ladies. I've finally stopped shaking lol but think it's gonna take some time to sink in. My and OH are obviously really happy but reluctant to invest emotionally or believe that it's real until we know things are ok. Will call the docs today and ask for an early reassurance scan.

TeenieDeenie · 20/05/2015 09:00

Brooke how are you today? Feeling any better?

Brooke113 · 20/05/2015 09:29

teenie how far along do you need to be for them to be able to see something on the scan? I'm still cramping :( have just rang my surgery, they're fabulous! And really suit working people like myself, a doctor is calling me between 6pm and 7pm tonight, I'll explain the pain to her and we'll go from there. I don't feel like myself at all, they're affecting me at work and home, I feel so awful because I'm coping alone too as I haven't told dh as I don't want to break his heart :( I'm a horrible person aren't I? How can I tell him that I'm pregnant but don't think it's going to work out?Sad

TeenieDeenie · 20/05/2015 09:54

Ahhh Brooke my lovely, you sound like you're having such a hard time of it. In my first pregnancy I cramped for weeks and weeks. Was sure I was going to get AF but it never came. I was told at my booking appt that it is just everything inside started to stretch and change for your little one growing.

You're not a horrible person hun but I'm not sure if keeping it from your dh is a good idea, we all need support no matter what the outcome. I understand what you're saying and you trying to protect him but I'm sure he would rather know and be able to support you? Even if it is just be bringing you a hot water bottle and a cup of tea (decaf) every now and then.

With regards to scans, I think it is 6 or 7 weeks for them to be able to see and hear the babies heart beat but I know some EPUs won't scan you until 8 weeks so you may need to pay for a private one if you want one before 8 weeks. I would speak to your GP again tonight and see what they say. FX the pain is from the UTI and unrelated to your little bean. Let us know how you get on. X

Carltonlives · 20/05/2015 10:06

Ah brooke please tell your dh! You shouldn't have to go through this alone and he can support you through it. If it was him in pain would you want him to tell you?
Honestly, if the pregnancy doesn't go well you will need him to talk to. You will feel so much better once it's out in the open.
Let us know what the doctors say, my fingers are still crossed for you xxx

nightandthelight · 20/05/2015 10:39

You need to tell your DH Brooke! You can go through this alone.

DizzyMerry · 20/05/2015 10:42

Brooke I echo what everyone else is saying. Don't go through this alone.

Carlton did you get to dtd?

Rachelc82 · 20/05/2015 10:44

Hugs to you Brooke. Sounds like your having such a hard time. Sure your husband would rather know and be able to support you through this. I understand what you mean though.

Carltonlives · 20/05/2015 10:55

Yes dizzy I did! I did update last night straight after to let you all know haha Smile

How are you doing? Did you say you were ov this Friday? If so I believe we are cycle buddies sort of cos ovia is predicting my most fertile day as Friday too Grin

DizzyMerry · 20/05/2015 10:59

Sorry I missed that bit carlton! woohoo just in time with the ewcm.

Rachelc82 · 20/05/2015 11:10

So just back from a doctors app, had results back from 21day blood test. It seems my progesterone levels slightly low, could this be the reason for TTC for 10 months with no joy. DP had appointment for S/A last week, need to wait for those results to come back then doctor will refer us to fertility clinic. Things are finally moving forwards

autonomousplum · 20/05/2015 11:35

Firstly b6 is unlikely to bring ov forward. It can help lengthen your lp though.
10 days is on the short side but not really bad, and with a lucky early implantation you could easily hold a bean. Ideally you'd like 12days. I would take 50mg b6 to start with (make sure if you take a b complex that it contains at least 50 of b6 in particular otherwise take a separate b6 50mg and then top up with a general b complex or a b12 supplement. Folic acid and b12 often come together in one pill, so you could to that of you didn't fancy the b complex. Either will do but the b12 is important to have while you take b6. Try for two months and of no lp change up to 100mg. 200mg per day is not recommended by UK fertility people.
B6 works for some people but I should add that I think it made little or no difference for me. I think I added one day with it, which would be fine for you. My lp was five days only so one day made no difference to me. It will clearly for you though so I'd try it. :)
Soy isoflavones function similarly (but sometimes contrary to too!!) to clomid and can bring your ov forward or trigger ov. I took it last cycle and it brought my lh surge forward/triggered ov by six days. However you should actually only take it if your cycle is often anovulatory or irregular and your ov is very late and not regular. It is common for people with regular cycles who take it to ov later than normal. Maybe try the b6 first. From what I read I'd stay clear of agnus. It messes with stuff more than helps it. soy usually only works on the cycle you take it whereas if it works at all agnus can mess you around for longer. Hmm
FYI bringing your ov forward doesn't always result in a longer lp. It didnt for me at all, it only shortened my cycle in total. Mostly they work independently from each other and not as part of a team. Eg your cycle won't stay 30days and your ov shorten and lp lengthen accordingly. Of your lp lengthens your cycle may end up as 32 days; if your ov shortens your cycle might end up as 27 days. Iyswim?
If you're interested in soy look up the old soy isoflavones thread with kitty's xpost about what days to take it on. Don't do it rashly though.
I don't know much about epo. I took it it last cycle and this cycle and didn't notice an increase in ewcm. In fact this cycle I had less than usual. A small amount of people appear to ov later on epo, but this is only hearsay and i haven't done the research to know if this is common.

DizzyMerry · 20/05/2015 11:47

You're a mine of info plum. I took epo this cycle from cd1 to cd9. I usually ovulate on cd13 and on cd11 today. Had watery cm yesterday but I'm actually hoping for loads of ewcm and no delay in ov. I'm not asking for much so hopefully it won't mess me about!

CarrotVan · 20/05/2015 15:06

Here you all are. Took me ages to find the stealth thread

Congratulations pulpi and teenie

So sorry you're having a rough time brooke. They can scan and see if the yolk sac/fetal pole is developing at 5-6 weeks but won't get a heartbeat until 6-7 weeks so they might not do a very early scan.

Still waiting for my MC bleed to finish, on antibiotics, more blood tests on Friday and then hopefully I can start working out my cycle again. I have ov strips and the promise of being looked after by my amazingly lovely EPU

Pogmella · 20/05/2015 15:55

carrot how do you feel? Hope you aren't still in pain x

CarrotVan · 20/05/2015 16:03

No pain - just like a very light period now. I'm bloody knackered though

wishiwaspregnant · 20/05/2015 16:04

Wow thank you auto!!! You've really helped! I am currently waiting to see the GP to see what they suggest... Don't know if my age might help me get a fertility referral...? Not sure how it works. But thought I'd see if I can get 21 day bloods

Carltonlives · 20/05/2015 16:13

Glad you aren't in pain carrot Smile

Does anyone else get random urges to tell people things about ttc? Today I went to the loo, and on the way back to my desk I had a really strong urge to lean over one of my colleagues shoulders and exclaim 'egg white cervical mucus!!'

Might just be me Hmm
