A month without ovulation?

Is this possible? To be fair I have only ever had the wee smiley face once whenever I've taken an ovulation test. I've been testing for about 2 weeks straight now and still just getting an empty circle.
Getting so frustrated and beginning to worry that there's something wrong with my equipment.
Been ttc since November. Did conceive over Christmas time but sadly had an mmc in February.
Tell me that time was not a fluke and I'm going to get knocked up soon.
I'm not very patient.

Hi Milk. I could've wrote your post but for the date changes. I had an mmc in December. It took me basically until the middle of April to feel physically ready to start ttc again. I bought the Clear Blue Dual Hormone Ovulation Kit as my cycles have been all over the place and very, very long since my mmc. So far I have had two different instances of solid smileys and the rest have been blank. I am told when you get a solid smiley, that means your body is gearing up to ovulate in the next 12-36 hours, but doesn't always mean it will. So the first smiley I got (CD19), I obviously didn't ovulate. So my body was trying again and I got a second smiley (CD 25)... I'm still not sure if I have ovulated this month. Have had plenty of cramps and ewcm tho. It's frustrating isn't it. I also have read that it's completely possible to ovulate some cycles and not others. You may still have a bleed tho even if you don't ovulate, it's called an anovulatory cycle.

i'm in the same boat. Been TTC since Oct, did conceive, but mc nov at 6 weeks. Have been trying ever since with no luck. Tried ovulation sticks this month for the first time and no smiley face - just empty circles. so disheartening. I don't think I can be ovulating every month, and have no ewcm at all!!

Yes I occasionally didn't ovulate - irregular periods and didn't really pay much attention until TTC. All fine though and conceived ok on month(s) I did ovulate.
