Spotting and Conception

Hi :)
For the past six months I have been spotting brown for most of my luteal phase. I have regular periods of about 30 days, but before my period comes I spot (sometimes light, sometimes heavy, sometimes blood, sometimes clot) for between one and two weeks.
My GP said my smear pap test, blood tests and hormone levels were all fine. What does anyone think it is likely to be? Has anyone else experienced this and had any answers? How do you think it could affect fertility?

Hi hannah just came across your post. I've started spotting foe several days before my period too. I've booked an appt to see my GP this evening.
It could be endometriosis - have spent 2 hours today googling and reading med journals. Do you suffer from much period pain or pms? How long have you been TTC?
If I find out more this evening will post here.

I have endometriosis and I always spot before my AF arrives. Usually for 2 days before, and sometimes during the month, but that is a bit less often.

Happy to answer any Q's regarding Endo if you have any, or discuss any symptoms that it can have.

I have spotted for 2-3 days before AF for as long as I can remember. Also have heavy and painful periods but always have had. I have one DD who is 6, trying for a few months for baby #2 and starting to wonder if I could have endometriosis ??
