Kaz you have to go for it.. Life can't go on hold like you say and yeah it's hard, but it will also give you a new focus.
Back in 2013 I had the chance to go for a job really close to home and it was working with teenage rebels - I love how rewarding they are! Anyway, I didn't go for it thinking what if I got pregnant, what if I didn't qualify for maternity, what if I dropped them in it? Needless to say I went on to get pregnant but it didn't work out.. Oh how I wish I had of gone for that job!!! I'm currently still stuck in my normal job but I suppose now I can see a temporary break should I manage to get that far and take maternity leave!

As for testing.. I got a positive 10/11 days after the smiley face. Testing from 7 days just seems to cause more hassle than it's worth! Honestly it's far too early as we all know - especially using clearblue tests which aren't all that sensitive!

Good luck x

clairemorgan81 · 17/06/2015 18:41

course I don't mind March, your exactly right we both have same situation in July. like you I never thought I wouldnt be pregnant by now. I'm losing hope and massively struggling as each month passes x

clairemorgan81 · 17/06/2015 18:45

gen I wouldn't test that early i find it really difficult, maybe hang on a few days.

as for putting your life on hold its such a tough one, it's all ifs and buts. go for it as life has a funny way of working things out and sometimes the change of focus might be all it takes.
Im wanting a complete career change as my dream is to be a midwife, I've always said once I've had my babies I 'll do it - at this rate I 'll be a bloody pensioner Grin. x

Genwah85 · 17/06/2015 20:03

Well I go on holiday on Sunday for 8 nights so thinking wait till I get back so will be cd22 thinking saves stressing while on my holidays too x

Marchgirl · 17/06/2015 20:09

How strange claire, that was my dream change of career too, but i think it's just too late for me now because of all this shit. I wouldn't be able to start training til no2 was in school, so even assuming i got pg in the next few months and it worked out, we're talking sep 2021 before i could start the degree and finish in 2025. I'd be 48! I'm sad that is not going to happen. So i say if you've got an opportunity now then take it kaz!
I agree that 7dpo is a bit too early to test, even though that's what you're supposed to do. I'd start around 10dpo. I found the earlier testing pointless the month i did it.

how strange March! I think once my next one (if it ever happens) goes to school so best case 2020 I would start training, I 'll prob be 42 ish mind by the time I qualify (if all went to plan!
it's never too late. never say never.
I wish I could start it all now but couldn't with wanting another bambino.

anyone on here use a mooncup instead of tampons?x

clairemorgan81 · 17/06/2015 20:33

just seen you put Sept 2021 that would be same for me March!x

girliesaints · 17/06/2015 20:55

Claire & March, for what its worth, I think you would make fab Mw as you've experience the heartache of pregnancies, which most me haven't x

Genwah85 · 17/06/2015 21:11

Marchgirl · 17/06/2015 21:23

Hahaha ok ok if you insist!! Lol

Kazz2112 · 17/06/2015 22:41

Haha! Go for it Gen! Come on little swimmers! You can do it! :)

Just been out for a girlie dinner to celebrate one if my friends getting engaged. My 'best mate' started quizzing our other friend who got married last July about if she was thinking about babies yet, are they on the cards etc. F* off! How insensitive!!!!!!!

philippa88 · 18/06/2015 07:20

Some people are clueless and I myself have been that person :/ Way before we started ttc, I was asking my brother and his wife if they were gonna give me a niece or nephew.. They did give me a niece! However, when we started ttc, I told them we were trying and they said when I'd asked about them having a baby - they were hurt as they'd been trying for several months with no luck. I felt so bad. Never again will I ask anyone about making babies - you just don't know their situation!! Life lessons!
Today I have my 8 week scan at the hospital and I'm totally bricking it. I'm convinced there'll be no heartbeat or it hasn't grown. Considering this is meant to be a reassurance scan I just can't cope with it! Spent ages crying last night as I'm expecting the worst - i just wish I could relax :( x

clairemorgan81 · 18/06/2015 08:22

ahh philippa you poor thing, deep breaths. all will be fine I'm sure. best of luck thinking of you xx
